The workers that came to install carpet and vinyl in our rental seemed to not know what work they needed to do. They took out the toilet in the bathroom that needed new vinyl and dragged it on bare freshly remediated subfloor leaking raw sewage water directly into the subfloor. They then did not notify the management of our rental. They just kept working while walking into the raw sewage water and tracking it all over the subfloor and onto our carpeted stairs that were not covered. They after some time realized how wet it was and used a rag to wipe the raw sewage water that leaked and spread it around and then used the same rag with their bare hands to wipe down other surfaces and then tossed the dirty rag onto our built in desk area. They placed the new vinyl over the wet with raw sewage that had leaked from the bottom of the toilet subfloor. I have security camera footage of this taking place in my home. This would not be the first time this company was brought into our rental to install flooring. They came in to do work in 2022 and laid new vinyl on top of old vinyl. We ended up with a leak from rain outside that seeped between the vinyl layers and they had to come and rip up all the flooring to install it correctly. The apology we got from the company was a box of chocolates from See's after my family had to move furniture the week before Christmas out of our entire downstairs to accommodate their work they needed to fix. It's unfortunate that both times this company has been out to our home we rent through military housing has provided more problems through sloppy work and now health and safety issues. I can only imagine how many other homes have had this experience when they have to move a toilet out of a bathroom. This is unsanitary and extremely poor business practices. read more

Do NOT i repeat do NOT rely on this company!! There's is no accurate time frames for the installers to install carpets! They show up when they want and if they show up early before your scheduled time and your not ready moving your furniture they will leave. Then they will tell you that they'll be back and never show up. We the people have life's and have jobs aswell. I gave up a whole day of work so these guys can not show up. Then you call the company and they seem dumbfounded. Installers are NOT held accountable when giving times that they are supposed to show up. I'm very disappointed and do NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

I've been working w J&C since 2016. I've been managing different apt buildings and they always have my back. The reps I've worked w are Denise and Kevin, which both are amazing and super responsive. I call or email to set up scheduling and they work fast and the crew always cleans up behind them. My appts are always on time. The work is always done right. They ask for every single detail when scheduling to make sure it's done right and that there is no back and forth. If there's an emergency, and nothing is available, I ask for updates if there are any cancellations and sometimes I'm just so lucky that there is, I feel like I'm always first in line. Although I never met them, the phone reps seem to always remember me which is awesome (Mireya)! The ONLY thing that might have room for improvement is the billing. I wish I received my invoices faster, since CA only gives us 21 days to complete a move out and send invoices to the past tenant. But I just ask for the invoice and they send it to me within 24-48 hours. Their crew members are pretty great! They work hard and know what they're doing. I had to replace carpet in an occupied unit and the resident could not get over how friendly the guys were and how quick. And especially that they cleaned up after themselves. read more

They were contracted to do the floors in my apartment. My apartment manager was dealing with them. They were instructed only to do the living room and hallway one day and the kitchen and bedroom the next day. So that we could move our stuff, because we were still living there. They took it upon themselves when they were told multiple times not to, to do the bedroom closet and kitchen. They moved all of our stuff in the closet and kitchen that they were specifically told not to touch and did the kitchen anyways. I have never been so angry at someone before. They moved very expensive electronics and cameras and these could have been damaged by them. We didn't receive an apology or anything. read more

I got my carpets cleaned through this company after getting my carpets cleaned through another company that was a bit pricey. Going through this company was much cheaper but not worth it at all!!! The first guy that came didn't know I lived on the third floor and didn't come with enough hose to clean my carpets and said he would try to come back but they sent another guy who claimed he had the same issue!! I don't know why they didnt send back the second guy with enough hose to clean my carpets. I think he just didnt want to clean my carpets because it was a Friday and already 5pm. The third man they sent to me was an older gentleman and super nice! We made conversation easily and I liked him. When they finally cleaned my carpet it LOOKED clean and he took out a purple ink stain I had from my printer being on the floor but within a couple of days it came back and so did the black from walking from my front door to my kitchen!! It looked like I didnt really clean my carpets at all! I'm going back to the first place that cleaned my carpets!! read more

This company is horrible and dishonest. Let me take you back to when I first dealt with this company. It all started when a furniture delivery company damaged the vinyl floor while putting a couch together. The couch's legs ripped the vinyl on both side of the floor. The ripped was pretty bad, both measuring about 3 Inches wide. J & C carpet charged me $175 for two patches. 9 months later, I moved out and found a small ripped vinyl about an 1 or half inch long (probably got damaged when I first moved in). When I got my deposit back, the invoice for that patch was $125! I called J&C to understand why I was being charged this much. Only to be surprised from a rude ass lady who just wasn't having it and didn't want to explain to me why I was being charged $125 for a small patch when I've pay $175 for 2 big patches before. She kept telling me that's how much each patch cost and if they ever come back, that the price of each patch will increase (which makes no sense). Then she wants me to go talk to my apartment manager, but she has nothing to do with the pricing. Overall this company is very sketchy and will cheat you without giving you a valid reason why. read more

Had my carpets replaced in my apt 9/25/17 and they look great. The problem is that they cut my cable wire that ran under my old carpet when they replaced it. I spent hours trying to trouble shoot the reason why my cable wasn't working. Once I realized the line had been cut I called to speak to Maria about having them remedy the situation. They advised they could not help me. Customer Service is something I take very seriously at my own occupation and I expect others to do the same. My time is valuable and I spent hours trying to remedy an issue I had nothing to do with. The installer had to have known he cut the line, didn't say anything. J&C had an opportunity to fix a problem they caused for me and decided not to. I do not recommend this company for any carpet replacing because if anything gets damaged you will have no recourse. read more

I was very disappointed with the J&C Carpet cleaning of my carpets. They left dark spots that were not thoroughly cleaned. They did not move any of the furniture and when I moved the sofa to vacuum under it the rug was filthly. I will have to go out and rent a rug cleaner myself to comp-lete the job. We live in military family housing, and I called the office to ask what carpet company they use. They informed me it was J & C Carpet. I will NOT be calling them to clean my carpets. When I moved in, there was a noticeable residue. When my children were playing on my carpet, I could see the "dust" from whatever cleaning agent they used rising up off the carpet. Running my hands over the carpet, they felt sticky. It was like they had left powder all over the carpet but didn't actually CLEAN the carpets. After just a couple weeks, stains started rising in the carpet. (Gross!) I vacuumed with my Dyson before we moved in and after just one run over the carpets, the canister was FULL of gray "dust" (I'm sure it was originally white, but it seemed to be dried cleaner + dirt). Really, this is disgusting. I've done a better job myself with a Hoover or Bissell carpet cleaner, so I think it's pretty pathetic that a commercial company who is being paid can't do a better job. read more
