This was my second time at the Sobador Wellness Center and both times they did such a great job. I compete in Jiu Jitsu and injuries happen all the time. About a year ago I had a horrible pain in my neck and back. I went for several sessions and my therapist Scarlette was able to relieve my pain. I would have paid any price to relieve the pain, but thankful they charge very reasonable prices. Especially compared to other sobadors in the area. I went back last month because I had a few nagging injuries that I wanted to have looked at before I competed in a Jiu Jitsu tournament. This time around I had Letty who was excellent. I went two weekends in a row and felt so great that I ended up winning the championship match. I give full credit to Letty, Scarlette and the Sobador Wellness Center for keeping me on the mats and pain free. I highly recommend checking them out. Having carpal tunnel syndrome and numbing hand and arm every night. Went once and was able to finally sleep through a whole night. Was amazing. Great price. CASH ONLY. I tipped big because I'm little and flexible and it's really hard to crack my back or joints. But the lady cracked my shoulders, ankles, and neck (AMAZING) after the massages to my arm and shoulder and nerve roots in the neck. She used cupping to get blood flow to the shoulder area again. I feel incredibly satisfied with the service and the price. I went to muscle lab in pasadena and paid like $500 for same thing without the cracking. Will take more than a few times to fix my carpal tunnel, but it's way more affordable than other services. read more

Oh boy, oh boy. I scheduled an appointment at this place to have a one hr session for a back massage. Because of my back conditions, I have received many sessions of back massages in other offices by other individuals so, I'm familiar with several options and techniques used in this type of field. Once, I was taken to the exam/treatment room, a young man was there. He asked me about what my problem was! I explained to him what the concern I was experiencing. Thereafter, he provided no information about what he was going to do or what type of massage technique he was going to provide! He applied some ointment over one side of my back, and he started performing the massage, wish I considered an elementary way of rubbing anyone back?? When he started the massage, I looked at the time on my watch and the gentleman proceeded. I was awake during the entire session. 30 minutes later, he said "ok, we are done" I looked at my watch and saw he massaged my back only for 30 minutes, I asked him what technique of massage he had used and he said" Swedish "! I am very familiar with the Swedish massage techniques, and he was very far from what I know about a Swedish massage! I asked him how long did you massage my back, and he replied, " 45 minutes" and left the room and disappeared! When I went to the receptionist, I mentioned the contradictions of what he claimed to be a Swedish massage and the 45 minutes! I told the receptionist that I had looked at my watch when he started and completed the massage, and he had only worked on my back for 30 minutes. The receptionist went somewhere to the back office to talk to him and a few minutes later came back and said, " ok, we will charge you only 30 minutes"! I said yes because, I made the appointment for the massage for one hour, he said to me he had performed 45 minutes and base on checking my watch, he only worked 30 minutes??? Anyway, be careful going to this or any other similar place like this business. Make sure they charge you for the use by the person assigned to give you a massage and make sure no to paid for the time you use to register yourself at the time of your arrival to the office! My 18 yrs old son has given me better back massages by following my instruction of what type of hand techniques and manipulation he needed to apply during his massages to my back! LOL. read more

Amazing place. Had a second attack of the dreaded sciatic nerve and after a week of not being able to stand easily or sit comfortably I had simply had enough. I had to find some relief so I went on my trusty Yelp app and looked up Sciatica and sure enough this wonderful place popped up. I'll be honest I didn't think any amount of massaging or "adjustments " would work. I was flat wrong. I can happily say that I am feeling so much better now. My therapist Emily was amazing. She was able to expertly remove massive knots I had throughout my back. Seriously. You need to ask for her. She was amazing and knew her stuff. My pain is almost completely gone and will be making another appointment to do a follow up. Anyone who has sciatica knows how painful it is and I don't want a repeat performance. This isn't a spot for someone who wants a relaxing spa experience. This is a spot for people who are in pain and need it to be taken care of - and they are excellent at what they do. Sobador is a no frills place to get therapeutic massage and alignments for a reasonable price. I have had massages with Letty and Anton since giving birth (and being that my son is HUGE, carrying him in pregnancy and after effects my body a lot) and both have been amazing in identifying and alleviating pain via massage. The days after visiting, I'm sore and feel so much better. The staff is bilingual so Spanish speakers can get the help they need without worrying about language as a factor. They accept walk ins but I feel it's worth while to call ahead a few days and make an appointment as the waiting room is tiny. Hidden gem. read more

So I'm not sure about how good is the massage as in my case It hurts but for a good reason as my neck is injured. I assume the treatment/massage is good by this girl Jessica who was the one talking care of me. But on the first time I tracked the time and it was 24 minutes since i layed down until I stood up and got my phone again, instead of the 30 minutes that we agreed. I gave it a second try today and again, once she leaves the room, i look at my phone and 24 minutes again. I complained at the front desk, i first asked if it was supposed to be 30m massaging as might be wrong, but she confirmed. They gave me a discount of $10 and as I mentioned in the beginning, this therapeutic massages are maybe pretty good but I'm a guy who tracks the time when i get massage and i like to have the things right that I'm paying for, in terms of time. read more

I was looking for a spot that want exactly a misuse. In Mexico, the technique used are from sabadoras/res. That spot is called sobador wellness center. Made an appt at 5 pm due to work schedule. I didn't get seen until 15 min later but that was due to checking in and filling out paperwork. So it's your 1st time, I highly recommend you getting there at least 15 min before. The parking lot is small and it can get full but they shopping center has a lower garage you can park in. The wellness center is clean and the ambiance very welcoming. They do ask is you prefer female or make misuse. Once inside you misuse will ask you what brings you in and be honest because that's how they know what technique and what pressure to apply. They do ask what level of pressure you can tolerate and let me tell you be honest with that too because they will get deep in the tissue area and it'll make you want to scream. They want to make sure your relaxed and not in pain so they'll ask quite often is the pressure is ok. Afterwards, they can crack you back & neck. Sort of like an alignment for your body. There's different rates beginning with the lowest at 15 min. 30 min, 45 min, and 1 hours. They offer cupping services to wich feels amazing. The owner and the staff are so nice. I'll definitely be coming back. The massage & the cupping helped my shoulder blade. It was bothering me for a month. So glad I came. read more

I love this place! The therapists here know what they are doing. Please do not expect a frou frou massage when coming here. These therapists will ask where you are having discomfort and then take their time finding the root of the problem so they can work the heck out of the knot to release the pain. I came initially because I was having pain in my low back that radiated through my glute to my hip/hamstring. I met with Emily and she was able to work it out so I could walk/drive with comfort. I first came here because I woke up with such bad neck pain and couldn't even move my head from side to side it was so stiff. I made an appointment for the next day and Scarlett was able to make most of the pain go away in an hour session. She even did cupping on my back at the end to help increase blood flow. I walked out feeling much better and was able to go back to work the next day. For the most up to date pricing, just call them and they'll tell you. They're appointment only so you don't have to sit in the waiting room hoping to get a spot and it's never crowded. The place is really simple, no over the top decorations with waterfalls or anything and all I care about is the treatments. I went in to get some help with upper back pain. I arrived a half hour before closing thinking they may not take me but they did and the receptionist was friendly. I only waited about 15min before being called in. I was massaged by Xóchitl. She asked me what the problem was and explained what she would be doing. She focused on that area and during the massage asked several times how I was feeling. When finished I felt better already and informed me that it was only 15 min and if I wanted to continue for another 15 or end the session there so I wouldn't have to pay more. I decided to end the session there and she explained that the last thing to do was perform the alignment. I had never had an alignment done so before she started she explained exactly what she was going to do. I felt better afterwards. She then gave me some tips and pointer to help avoid the tightness in my back, before i went back to the little massage room to change. All good, the only thing I wasn't thrilled about is that the massage rooms are not actual "rooms." They are spaces separated by walls and a curtain, of course, but the walls are not to the ceiling. So as I was being massaged, I could hear the person next door speaking to their masseuse and groaning during their massage (sounded like it was painful). I understand that most typical massage places are set up like this, even beds layer out in big rooms, but this is not a typical massage place to get a relaxing massage with hot stones and all that. So I would expect a little more privacy. After I was done I left a tip, walked up to the front and paid. It was mainly a positive experience, except for the really close quarters and not as private as I would expect. Therefore, 4 stars from me. read more

So I walk in and they said they attend the appointment people first before the walk ins. My wait time was 3 hours- on my day off? When this place started, like all businesses start from scratch, the place was a bit rudiment but with a great service at a reasonable price, now the place has been lightly but lightly remodeled, maybe for that reason the are been greety, because their prices have sky rocketed, There are out there great places that can fix up that muscle pain, just look for them. I walked into this place with a lot of pain on my ankle and my neck. After 30 minutes of Amy massaging my leg and ankle I felt so much better. After the massage a lady adjusted my body and neck. Went in for sciatica pain and tingling down my left leg. The place is ok appearance wise but don't let that fool you. I was a walk-in so i knew i would have to wait... So i waited about 15 minutes. I came in with extreme back pain. A co-worker recommended that I try Antoine. I am so glad I did. He really listens to you and constantly makes sure that you feel comfortable. He will explain to you why may be causing the pain and what you can do to help cope with it. I've gone with him twice and with his mom, I believe once. His mom is great too but I feel like I gain a lot more from Antoine's therapeutic massage. I also suffered from a Lateral Pelvic Tilt ( when your hip is higher than the other). I sleep on my right side, the majority of the time. I believe this may have caused it. I need to return for another follow-up, will be doing that soon. You won't regret it! read more

If I could give this place less than one star I would. I saw all the good reviews on yelp and went for it. I want to tell you the truth of this place. First off I am hispanic and I know and understand what a real Sobador/sobadora can do for you. My life and hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spared with doctors and hospitals thanks to a sobador/sobadora in my life. Funny enough no matter how bad my ailment or level of pain I would be in and out in 20 minutes and they help me. I don't even tell them where the pain is they find it by touch and fix it by touch. The sobador at wellness center who helped me said they had 10+ years of experience. They did nothing more than a massage even with 10+ years experience, they even said they were one of the most experienced. I went home with pains and woke up with pains. The next day I sought out a real SOBADOR. He literally found all the points making me hurt and helped me remove them and now I am complete. He followed the pains from my back to my feet, I had no idea it went that deep neither did the sobador at the wellness center. I would perhaps had to go to the hospital or spend an exorbitant amount of money to keep going to another sobador wellness center session. Its more of a deep tissue massage place baiting you into an hour of time, which shouldn't cost more than $40-50 hr yet they advertise as sobador to charge $80+ dollars for an hour. If they can't fix you in 20 minutes why are you there sitting and paying for an hour you don't need. Real sobadores are not in a wellness center and they do not charge almost a $100 for an hour session designed to keep you coming back. They fix you right then and there with no time limit. If you want a deep tissue massage go somewhere else for cheaper or find yourself a real sobador, someone who can really help you without breaking the bank. The real sobador I found was half the price and thrice as good, literally. I do not recommend this for anyone trying to find relief of pain. Find a real sobador and not the sign that says SOBADOR. I called about this and they said they can not do anything so stay away in my opinoin. This place does not provide what they advertise. $80 Massage was not what I wanted. I already knew what to do and who to call.I did have to make an appointment which they take your credit card to hold your spot. They do take walkins but know that you might have to wait. I had to go three times in a row. But after the first time I went with Letty I was able to walk better. As for me I also did the sauna and hot Jacuzzi from my own gym. They are seriously miracle workers. From the deep tissue massage down to the alignment, which is the icing on the cake -- their alignment method is the best ever. Walked in crooked with mild lumbar scoliosis and I feel it's been cured. It was that amazing. You leave with your back feeling as light as a feather. Really straightened out my severely tilted back after one session. Going back for additional sessions to be safe and just for better overall posture and wellness. I was referred to this location by a friend. I had been in a bad car accident and it was over a year and I was still in pain. I had seen a chiropractor for over 6 months and was still not getting better. I finally decided to try this place out. I did t know what to expect. Went in had an hour deep tissue massage. It was so painful but so needed. I could feel all the knots from my waist all the way to my neck. I didn't realize I had that many. After the massage they had me go lay face up on another table. That's when the magic began. Another person came in who was blind and adjusted me in ways I have never been adjusted. Today a day later I feel better. My shoulders and neck are not in pain. I have never been to a sobador but have been told if I can find a good one then its definitely worth it. I found about this little hidden gem by a friend who had just came a few days before. I had surgery in October on my right foot and I have been in pain since the surgery. I have had a cortisone shot because I started to develop pain going up my leg and my Dr. was worried about nerve damage. So I made an appointment and gave it a try. Antoine asked me what was going on, he tapped on my shoulders, down my spine and my hips which I knew were really off from limping. He talked me through the process and just told me to breath and relax, I also mentioned that I suffer from migraines. Its no joke he used his elbows and dug deep into my knots, my shoulders were very tensed. He measured my legs and my right leg was shorter then my left made sense after my massage my feet were at the same length. He then adjusted me and the final adjustment was he pulled on my neck and we heard every bone in my spine pop and I felt instant relief. He explained to me that I would be sore for the next few days and to drink plenty of water.
