Overall excellent. Really fresh and well seasoned. Super clean inside. Take a few menus and order at the front. They bring your meal as it's ready. The best was the stone bowl chicken. Dumpling were very flavorful and perfectly fried. The honey garlic wings were sticky and had a lot of garlic.. lol but was good and hot. Nice and plump and good coating . Lunch overall was around $50 ./ we got two soft drinks as well .

Great place for quick take out on dine in. Order at the register and if you eat in they wheel the food right out to you. Chicken Dumplings were outstanding, great noodles and 6 stars for the amazing chicken wings. Can't believe I walked by this place countless times and never stopped in, check them out.

I've eaten at Soban many times before. It's my go-to when I'm in the mood for simple Korean dishes. My usual is their spicy pork bibimbap, but this time I decided to try their Beef Bulgogi Box. I was in the mood to change things up and in the end I liked my choice. The bulgogi beef came in a savory sauce with sauteed onions and some small dumplings. The sides were unique but very flavorful, especially the stir fried bok choy and side salad. The salad dressing was different than anything I've had before before but I think it went well. Service can be super slow here, even when it's empty, but overall I have never had a bad experience with food quality and I've been coming here for close to a decade.

Soban has undergone renovations! The space is much bigger now, and the prices haven't been impacted. I can't speak to any of the food here except the bibimbap (all of which are great!). What makes this place hit or miss is the service. Sometimes it can take more than half an hour to receive your food, and the workers aren't always the friendliest. That said, if you're craving good food, and don't have anywhere to be, drop on by!

Soban has renovated it's interiors and it so much more spacious and decorated. Although the prices increased, the meal sizes are still large and filling. Ordering a Bibimbap and Chicken Bento Box was about $30.

Comfort Korean food. Cafeteria-like dining. Very casual and cozy. Nothing fancy, but the food is delicious. I love the scallion pancakes. A friend loves the bibimbap. My daughter likes the dukbokki rice cake dish, which I thought was too watery, bland, and lacking vegetables and proteins. However, the day I ordered the dukbokki they were offering complimentary spicy fish cakes (that look like thick, flat tofu noodles) at the salad bar, which was a perfect addition! Prices are reasonable, considering they offer free self-serve miso soup, and different kinds of Korean salads/condiments like kimchi, pickled daikon radish, spicy fish cakes, etc. Selection changes daily. Popular among the students from the nearby universities (Brown & RISD).

Got a new favourite dish in Korean cuisine. Japchae!! Had never had sweet potato noodles and I definitely enjoyed the change of taste. Don't assume it to be like a sweet dish. It's just like any other entree. Mushrooms they use Taste great. When you're bored eating the same ramen, white rice , fried rice all the time. .a new taste is a must try. Also, they have a variety of complimentary sides. My fav was Radish + Carrot marinated in sugar. Kimchi is good too. Do try them dear foodies!! :)

We ordered here for the first time. I had a craving for Black Bean Noodles (JajangMyeom). We ordered the noodles, sticky pork bibimbap, and beef spicy soup. We enjoyed everything. The noodle is one of the best I had ever! I travel a lot and have tried many and this is one of the best.

My friends and I really want fried chicken at Soban, but she is allergic to seafood, and their fried chicken all contain shellfish. So we only ordered soft tofu stew, and got fried chicken from Yas Chicken upstairs. And the server was really mean to us and said," You cannot bring food from the outside." So I was like, "ok, sorry." And I was gonna put the chicken back into the bag. But he was like,"it's ok, just don't do it next time." So I thought it's fine. But he is actually mad at us, and when we asked him for extra bowl, he just said," sorry!" And never gave us the bowl. He keeps staring at us behind the counter and even comes to us to just tell us," please clean up." Will never come back to this place again. Kinda petty.

Soft tofu soup was excellent. Great flavor and tender meat, dumplings were not good. Over fried and dry and definitely not worth the price.

I walked into a space that is small and moody, the kind of room that feels lived in rather than designed for a particular aesthetic, and it suited the casual neighborhood feel of the surrounding area. The hot stone bibimbap is the dish that comes up most consistently and with the most enthusiasm. I ordered it and the stone bowl arrived sizzling. The rice along the bottom edges got crispy against the heat in a way that changed the texture and flavor of the whole dish as I ate through it. The beef and mushroom tofu versions are both well executed, and the egg on top finished the bowl correctly. The katsu is a solid option for anyone coming in looking for something more straightforward. I tried it and the breading was crispy while the cutlet inside stayed tender, and the sauce ratio was handled well rather than drowning what was underneath. The gyoza, japchae, seafood pancakes, and yaki soba fill out a menu that covers enough ground to satisfy a table with different preferences. Side dishes are served in modest portions, which was the main point of friction for me since I am used to more generous banchan. Food came out at a good pace and arrived hot. For Korean and Japanese comfort food in Providence, Den Den is a reliable and genuinely satisfying stop.

First of all, Sun & Moon feels like a home-y Korean restaurant. The owners are Korean and I'd come here when I crave Korean food. I will caveat that it's not necessarily the best Korean food I've ever had, but it's probably the most authentic you'd be able to get in Providence. The vegetable pancake was surprisingly really good - crispy around the edges, right amount of veggie to it. This one I would recommend - it's legit. I've also had the knife cut noodles which is pretty good, but different than the kind I normally get at other Korean restaurants -this one is more seafood forward which is usually not the case at other Korean restaurants. The spicy rice cakes were a bit mid - I would skip out on them next time. The rice cakes didn't have a good chewy texture and they were quite pricy too. The tonkatsu was actually pretty good, so when I got the tonkatsu udon, I was expecting that too be good as well, but the udon was way too salty and had too much MSG flavor, so I couldn't finish it. Overall, cute little place to come when craving Korean food. Menu is huge and not everything is a hit on the menu, but if you know what to order, you'll hit your craving. Parking is street only!

The meal starts with miso soup & salad with ginger dressing. The soup always comes out piping hot & has great flavor. I love a good ginger dressing & this one has some zing. Since we ordered two of the combos, we went with one of both rolls. If you like California rolls, this is the one you want. I personally judge a sushi restaurant on the quality of the salmon avocado roll. Is the salmon bright in color, buttery mouthfeel & firm? Is the avocado soft & perfectly "avocado green" in color? YAAASSSSS to both! We also ordered a negihama maki - yellowtail & scallions roll. It is a guilty pleasure & one of my favorite rolls in all sushi-land! The server said there was really only one option on the menu for vegetarians which is what I ordered. The food is served luke warm and for $15 I'm pretty sure I could have made this same dish at home for much cheaper and probably better. It has a spicy chili oil on the side that you mix in along with the pickled radish which was more salty than pickled tasting. One bunch of noodles wasn't properly cooked and clumped at a section. I consider myself pretty good eating with chopsticks and the slippery noodles proved to be quite difficult to eat. Not a good option if you're on a date and maybe concerned with how you will look eating this dish. Probably the saving grace of the dish was the mushrooms which allowed me to give this place 3 stars. I will not be back to this restaurant. I only ordered a hot water with a lemon for a drink. No lemon was given, only a chipped little cup (pictured), and the restaurant was freezing.
