Look no further, SSS is the one for you!! They get 5 stars in all the categories you could ask for! First off, they are very safe and clean! That's probably a number one when looking for a storage unit. They have many safety measures in place such as motion detection and a multitude of cameras. You need a personalized code to get up to 99% of the storage units. They're very clean, you could set up a restaurant in there that would pass health inspection! Secondly, they are super friendly and accommodating! Moses is great, my bf calls him the "nicest man he's ever met"! They will make sure that you find a unit that fits your needs, and they're able to set you up super quick!I've never felt more welcome. Last but not least is the immense value you get for the price! I've toured many storage places around LA and the majority of them are charging more for units that are smaller, in areas that aren't as safe. Stop looking and go get your unit! read more

10/10 for SoCal Storage on Hollywood! While the neighborhood directly surrounding it can give you pause for concern, the folks working at and running this location absolutely do NOT give you reason for concern. Moses, Jesse and Dolores were super fantastic every step of the way. Even when there was a weird issue with the monthly auto-pay (a super convenient payment method), they took care of it with speed and detail which shows they care. While it's maybe more expensive than a super basic storage unit in LA, it is worth every penny having it climate controlled, no bugs, no structural damage, great free parking options (with a good thai restaurant in the building), huge elevators, dollies, a nice front office, online paperwork process, and more. I would recommend them to everyone in LA who wants their items safely stored with great folks who care about them! read more

Moving can be stressful, so I was suggested to use SoCal Self Storage since I have an abundance of belongings that would not fit my new studio. I was told their rates were reasonable, so I called them with questions. I wanted to find one that was open 24/7 so that I can come and go after work hours but after talking to one of the managers he assured me that their hours 9-6 on weeknights is for security purposes and to prevent LA rifters from coming through. This made a lot of sense to me, and I did not want to put myself in danger if I were to come to my storage unit. Let me tell you, they have the security thing on lockdown here!! There is an access code for the elevator and I never felt worried or unsafe while coming here. The manager helped me pick the storage size, and I am happy to say that we both made the right choice for the amount of belongings I had. They even provide dollies for you to make everything easy in case you have to transport heavy objects from your car to the unit, and vice versa. Highly recommend! read more

I stored all of my furniture here when I decided to leave LA for 9 months. I was so worried about the whole process - but Ed, Moses, and Doris made it all so easy for me!! Whenever I talked to them in person or on the phone, they were BEYOND helpful. All of them are so sweet and kind. Being gone for 9 months, I knew I was in good hands. And when I came back to LA and got everything out of storage, everything I had stored was in perfect condition!! Unfortunately the moving company I was using lost one part of my bed frame :-/ but Ed and Moses really helped me out yesterday. They tried their best to look all over the property and around the unit to see if the moving company left it behind there. Although it wasn't found, the fact that they went out of their way to look for it for me was incredibly thoughtful and nice. I love them and will definitely be using them again! My decision to store with SSS was first made when I found out because of the pandemic, they won't be raising rent prices bi-annually, as other self-storage companies do. Then it was the offer of the (huge) moving truck that comes along with my rental (no matter the size!) Moved my things into storage a couple weekends ago, and so far so good! Lots of free parking, and right next to Palms Thai which is delicious. Tell the valet parkers you are there for storage and they will let you self park in one of the Socal Self Storage spots. Note: They offer a free move in truck for move-in. I saw some guys moving in in u-hauls so I'm not sure if they knew that. Jesse went above and beyond in every way. When I stopped by a few weeks before I needed my unit to check things out, he was very informative and helpful in answering all my questions and was not pushy at all. Flash forward to move in day, and Jesse knew that I was paying my movers by the hour and was hustling to get me all set up with my unit and even had the valet clear a path in the garage for my moving truck to park. The facility is clean, climate controlled, and feels safe (not creepy at all like some storage facilities). The prices here are slightly more than other places like Public Storage that offer one month free, but in the grand scheme I'd rather pay a little more to sleep well at night that my belongings are safe, and that I'm safe when I go to get them. read more

They couldn't have been more helpful and quick. I got the unit that I wanted, signed everything electronically, and was provided with a renters insurance (only 12$). It's hard to imagine that renting a storage place would be a pleasant experience but this one exceeded my expectations. I needed a place to temporarily store my office furniture. I was surprised to find a 5'x7' unit in Hollywood for $178 since the others I found were all over $200. Another nice surprise was being told in advance to bring proof of any existing insurance to avoid paying for theirs when I arrived. The best part was Jesse, the friendly associate. After offering me a bottle of water, he showed me the unit, helped me figure out how to fit in my furniture, patiently walked me through all the technicals like entering the elevator code, keeping the door open, etc. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. Service: the best. Moses goes above and beyond for his customers, and he's always friendly with his tone and behavior. Safety: the best. There are various security measures that make me feel safe, and despite the inconvenience of the hours because they're not 24/7, I think it's totally worth the inconvenience because it helps to increase security because you don't have people going in and out during odd hours. Cleanliness: fantastic. The office itself is so clean, and I think they offer refreshments (which is amazing). The storage space itself was cleaner than what I expected, and the hallways are always kept clear and clean. It seems modern and new, and I love the decorations of Hollywood stars on the walls. Price: a little more expensive than its competitors, but I think it's totally worth it considering the benefits you get with SoCal. I docked a star off because their website isn't as up-to-date and error-free. I've been unable to pay online a few times, and I had to call to make payments, which I don't prefer.
