Dog friendly. Gluten friendly. Amazing outdoor seating arrangement. Delicious food. Generous portions. Kind people. Not lazy at all.

This was an accidental find after a failed attempt to checkout a new spot in West LA/The Grove area and pivoted to find a brunch spot. Honestly I had no idea where we even were but can now say we've been to Mar Vista! This place is on a busy street with a cute outdoor seating and on a nice day, it's the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. As with every brunch places we've been to, I always have to try the pancakes! He ordered a sandwich and we shared everything. Yum! Service was great even on a busy day. Parking was a bit challenging but we found a spot up the street which was a nice walk back to our car. Overall, cute little place that I think is popular with the locals. Happy eating!

Lazy Daisy Café Mar Vista Lazy Daisy is one of those neighborhood gems that just gets breakfast. Their huevos rancheros come out hearty and full of flavor, the breakfast quesadillas are perfectly crisp with a melty center, and the pancake breakfast special hits that classic, comforting sweet spot. Fresh squeezed orange juice tastes like sunshine in a glass, and their lattes are smooth, rich, and way too easy to sip. Add in the relaxed Mar Vista vibe and friendly service, and you've got a go to spot that never disappoints.

Very cute brunch spot but the overall food and service was just okay. The waffles were cooked well with a good amount of fruit but it wasn't very memorable and came with packaged butter. The eggs Benedict had a lot of liquid from the poached egg and the slice of ham felt very flavorless. The hashbrown was crispy but it definitely came from frozen. It felt pretty pricey for the kind of food quality I could get at iHop.

I was excited to try this place but darn, it fell short. The french toast bread was not fresh and it was lacking flavor, dry too. The omelette was ok. Staff are friendly but I'd rather go to IHOP ‍

French toast and chilaquiles were fire!

The chilaquiles had a nice crunch and I loved that because usually they are soggy at places. The French toast had a good flavor and it wasn't dry.

Breakfast burrito (chorizo) with roasted potatoes

Lazy Daisy is a breakfast/brunch spot that serves no-frills, but hearty and generous portions of food. From chilaquiles to omelettes to breakfast burritos, the restaurant has an extensive menu with plenty to choose from. Service was nice and friendly: although it took us a while to flag someone down to order, the food and service afterwards was prompt and efficient. I ordered a breakfast burrito (chorizo as protein of choice). The chorizo was flavorful, with a slight kick to perk your tastebuds. Portions were huge, and I opted for roasted potatoes, which were cooked well and fragrant with onions. Burrito was stuffed full of ingredients (eggs, avocado, cheese) as well. While it wasn't the best breakfast burrito I've had, it certainly did the trick to satisfy my brunch outing. Overall, decent establishment at decent prices for breakfast or brunch!

Lazy Daisy was such a welcoming atmosphere. After attending my son's Saturday morning soccer game at a local soccer field , my family and I had worked up an appetite and looked for a local eatery that could accommodate our needs. Enter Lazy Daisy. This eatery was the perfect place for myself , my wife and my 2 boys age 17 and age 12 to satisfy our appetites. The menu was full of delicious options and we opted on breakfast foods . I ordered the waffle breakfast and my sons and wife ordered the pancake breakfast topped with fresh strawberries, eggs and also a nice serving of your choice of your favorite protein option on the side. All came out hot , savory and ready to be devoured which we did. This establishment did not disappoint. The service was exceptional. In addition to being checked throughout our dining experience on multiple occasions by the staff to ensure we were not in need of anything additional , the waiter even advised my wife on how to sign up for their rewards program which initially offers you a discount on your first meal. We were happy to have chosen this fine establishment to satisfy our cravings and it definitely met our expectations. Should we ever be in the area we will definitely stop by again and try another item from their menu. Hey, maybe me and the wife will just cruise down the highway one morning and enjoy this experience without the kids one day lol. You never know. Thanks for the awesome experience.

Recently, I stopped by @eatlazydaisy 's newest location in Mar Vista with my little sister. @eatlazydaisy has always been my choice for best value brunch in LA with their large and aesthetically prepared portions which are all super reasonably priced and carefully crafted from fresh and high quality ingredients. Their menu features basically every brunch/breakfast dish you can think of, with a healthy and delicious spin on traditional American breakfast. This location is definitely my new favorite as well, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well prepared each dish and drink we tried was (especially for such a new business)! If you're in the Mar Vista area, definitely make sure to check out this hidden gem! Featuring: French toast special with berries, choice of protein, and 2 eggs salmon eggs Benedict Santa Fe chicken salad vanilla chai mocha

Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. Out front, two girlfriends were hanging out with their matchas deep in gossip and clearly enjoying the morning. The matcha seemed popular, but I needed something hot. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. The bonsai garden is insane.

The drinks were very good and exactly what you'd expect from a quality café. But the food presentation--wow! It completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito, and the egg on brioche. Every dish was beautifully plated, garnished with edible flowers, and served with a fresh, delicious salad. I honestly wasn't expecting this level of presentation from a café. The portions were generous as well, leaving us completely satisfied. I also tried one of their pastries that reminded me of a cinnamon roll. It was enjoyable, though as a professional baker and pastry chef, I felt the pastries were the one area with room for improvement. In my opinion, they seemed to prioritize elegance and originality over achieving the best texture and flavor. Even so, they were still good, and I appreciated the creativity. I found a table pretty easily, and ordered from there via QR code. Ngl, the tables can be a little uncomfortable because of the angular metal nature of them. You can nestle in there pretty easily, but one wrong move, and ouch! I really enjoyed the Breakfast Burrito. Definitely original and inspired: Scrambled Egg, Avocado, Pinto Beans, Sour Cream, Pico De Gallo, Cheddar Cheese, Tater Tots & Jalapeno Paste on a Flour Tortilla. A handful of Tater Tots arrive with as well as Cilantro sauce on the side. This burrito is pretty peppy -- and even intense in flavor. I liked it a lot, but actually had to take a break between halves as a result. My companion had the Golden Morning Brioche (Scrambled Egg, Avocado, Caramelized Onion, Arugula, Cheddar Cheese & Chipotle Sauce on a Brioche Bun) and enjoyed that. She also really enjoyed her drink, the Okinawa Cold Foam. I liked my coffee, and later, an espresso over ice. Fun vibe, and lots of other choices, including their bakery goods. Definitely recommend. Street parking, but be careful -- it's pretty tight on Barrington.
