I was excited to try SoDo Poké after reading its 4 star reviews and both Google and Yelp. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed by the quality of the food. My friend and I came here at 1pm on a Saturday after a long climbing session at Momentum SoDo just 7 minutes down the street. Note that they only have limited street parking, and so we decided to walk over from the gym. SoDo Poké shares a venue with a fried chicken place. They have separate ordering kiosks, but the seating and counter area are shared. SoDo Poké offers several types of poke including ahi, salmon, tako (octopus), and more along with several types of sauces and vegetables. They also offer Korean rice bowls. I ordered a regular Build Your Own Poké Bowl (+$18) with salmon, ahi, half salad and half white rice, sesame oil, spicy mayo, carrots, cucumbers, kimchi cucumber pineapple, and crispy onion. I treated my friend and so with for two Build Your Own Poké bowls, my total with tax and tip came to $42. Service was alright. It took about 15-20 minutes for us to get our food after ordering from the kiosk. The workers at the counter call your name and you pick up your food from the counter. There are bussing stations for when you're done, so there's not really much service involved. Portion-wise, the bowls are pretty small for $18, but they are fairly generous with the amount of protein in compared to other poke places. However, I can honestly say that the fish (especially the ahi) was not fresh and was very watery, bland, and mushy. While the vegetables were fairly fresh, the cucumber was not and tasted strangely soapy. I honesty debated whether I should eat it, but I was so hungry that I took the risk, except I pushed the cucumbers to the side. The atmosphere is very casual and fast food like. None of the tables had been wiped when we arrived and so I ended up having to wipe a table down myself. I also will note that the Health Safety Rating at this place is only "Okay", which isn't necessarily great when you're eating raw foods. Overall, I will sadly not be coming back. With high prices, low quality fish, and questionable hygiene practices, I will definitely be getting my poke elsewhere. 2/5 for food, 2.5/5 for service, 2/5 for atmosphere read more

Korean soups are some of my favorite soups but 3 stars in generous for the Korean soft tofu soup here. It's the most bland and flavorless soup I think I have ever had AND it's $20+ yikes. Also, the picture online isn't even close to what you get in person. I also ordered a four dollar side of kimchi cucumber and it was maybe 2 tablespoons of food. I've been going to SoDo Poke for lunch, and it's become one of my favorite spots. I usually build my own bowl with spicy tuna and extra avocado - it always tastes clean and flavorful in the best way. Their signature poke plates are just as good, so you can't go wrong either way. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to enjoy a quick lunch. Great spot across the street from Starbucks. If you're looking for a quick bite that's filling. Make a stop here! There's a few more items like the Udon noodles on the paper menu so ask for that. The portion was good and they all had great flavor. The beef tofu soup was exactly what I needed on a colder day. I got it spicy but it's not to the point where you can't eat it. The udon noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was amazing. Service here is awesome! You walk in and they give you a smile and a welcome in. Employees seem pretty happy here which is a great thing because they usually put in a better effort with your food. Give it a try if you're in the area! I found a nice gem on the way to Starbucks SODO Reserve store which is directly across the street here, and I'm so glad I did. I always make room for Poké, even though I just ate at Starbeezys minutes before ...don't judge me. Since it was my first time there I was torn between this spicy Aji and the spicy salmon and the gentleman who took my order, recommended the spicy, Aji. So that's what I ordered the Spicy Ahi which tasted so good! It has onion, cilantro, sesame seed, and nice touch of avocado. Not to mention the pasta and seaweed salad with two scoops of white rice. I pass by this business through passing and as a poke lover, have always been wanting to try it. Finally did today and I'm so impressed! The service was amazing! They were so friendly and very quick to get my order out. It was also a lot more spacious than I thought it would be! I didn't dine in but I was able to bring my dog in so that is always a plus to me! :') I got the spicy ahi bowl which came with rice, mac salad, pickled ginger, seaweed salad, and the generous scoop of spicy ahi sitting on a bed of greens. I have a pretty high spice tolerance so it wasn't very spicy to me but the fish was so fresh and flavorful! Take your money and go to any other Poke spot in Seattle. What really disappointed me was that you have to pay $1 extra each for crab salad, masago, and seaweed salad when almost any other Poke spot will include it. The price of a bowl itself is already $15 or $18, which is pricey as is. They also forgot the toppings in our bowls that were free, so we basically just got rice, sauce, lettuce, and poke in our bowls. I had some work people from out of town and they wanted poke so sodo poke was the pick of the day. Cute spot in sodo and we showed up just in time before the lunch rush. They have several options and you pretty much order a bowl and tell them what you want on it. I've had poke bowls at many places but this wasn't my favorite for some reason. I'm not sure if I didn't get the right toppings but it was just bluh. It was decent and I would probably ordered it again if I was craving poke. Don't get me wrong my coworkers loved it but it's expensive and if I'm paying that much I want it to knock my socks off for lunch. It was really busy in there so they must be doing something right. Wow This place is a lil gem. It isn't cheap- but the food quality is very high, and it's impeccably spotless inside which I really appreciate. I got a salad roll and the lettuce and carrot were sooo fresh and crispy, more than I would say is average. I also got a milk tea with coffee jelly and it's super yum. I got a Large Bowl via Uber Eats for $18.26 (would've been $14.31 without delivery fees/tip). I went with double ahi and single spicy ground ahi, white rice, shoyu, sesame oil, edamame, ginger, seaweed salad, crab salad, masago, and furikake. Flavor was just okay. Didn't care too much for the sauce but fish was good. Very disappointed with the portion size. The large bowl I received was no bigger than the medium bowl I got at two other places in the past couple weeks. More importantly, despite paying for the large bowl which comes with 3 servings of fish, they only gave me 2 servings. Specifically, my double order of regular ahi was the same size as the single order of spicy ahi. Someone wasn't paying attention when they made the order. Additionally, their selection of sides, although okay, is still limited. For example, FOB Poke Bar offered all the same sides plus tamago, wasabi, spicy crab salad (and regular), regular seaweed, and sesame seeds. Bottom line, choose FOB Poke Bar or Just Poke over this place. The large bowl I got at FOB Poke Bar was only about a $1.00 more than this place and 50% larger. They weren't stingy with the fish and sides. And more importantly, they got my order correct. read more

This place is really good! I ordered a "build your own bowl" with two fishes, salmon and tuna, and half green tea noodle and rice as a base. I added almost all the toppings too . I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but it was yummy! The fish was fresh and tasty, and they were generous on their portions. The prices are decent as well. I get food here via delivery and it is one of my gotos. I usually get the bento with the soondubu because it has everything you need for a good meal. The soup is pretty good. It slightly lacks in the flavor I am used to and there isn't much seafood. The bbq meat is tender and flavorful and the marinade is not too sweet. They have rice and a bit of banchan and macaroni salad with each plate. It comes well packaged and they use bento takeout so things don't get all mixed up in the delivery process. They used to sell a container of mac salad separately but that's not on the menu anymore. Sad emoji. I really like their mac salad. I think the cost is good for all you get. I saw the poke and menu and decided to give it a try. Plus, the place is very clean and organized, a plus when handling raw fish! Kim Chee AHI poke with an extra scoop of masago. This is the perfect place for me. The employees working here are very friendly. Also, always have a smile on your face. If you eat here today, you will be surprised three times. First of all, you will be amazed by their smiles, and secondly, by the clean interior. Third and last, you will be surprised by the taste of the food to the extent that its reasonable price is questionable. I love this place. They were playing my favorite K-Pop music videos in the background and I couldn't help but bop. Decor was pretty bare and minimalistic but I really liked the large pictures of the dishes mounted on the wall. Overall, a cute place though. Food wise, there was a lot more variety of food then I initially thought. The Signature poke bowls and food items costs around $13 but they had a lot of Korean staple foods. They also have ramen and bulgogi (Yum) but maybe next time. I ordered the build your own poke bowl (with 2 proteins: salmon and ahi tuna) for $11 (i.e. $13 with tax / tip). Very spacious, clean and friendly. Asked if I could switch my base to brown rice and she was happy to do so. Spicy ahi and salmon was fresh and tasty. After spending the afternoon being a tourist at along Pike Place, I went to meet up with my friend who works at Starbucks' corporate office. We were both hungry after a long day, and he suggested that we eat at this poke spot because he liked the quality. The place looked pretty desolate, but then again, we came in around 430pm when it's too late to be lunch and too early to be dinner. With many options to choose from on the menu, I ordered the large (3 scoops), which I chose the salmon and octopus and a bunch of other toppings that were pretty standard. Surprisingly, the octopus was not super chewy, so I really enjoyed eating that. 1st time in today..... so excited this place opened up. I had to trek to Wallingford to Stop & Shop to get any quality/legit POKÉ....living in Sea Tac that's a trek. I met my friend for lunch and we chose our bowls. Mine was a large with Spicy Ahi, Salmon & regular Ahi and had nearly everything and the kitchen sink in it (I wanted to try it all). I've never had green tea soba noodles so I was already impressed with amount of choices-some may be overwhelmed by the menu initially but I am a person who likes variety and options so I was in poké heaven. The servings were generous (I brought half home) There are all kinds of sauces to turn your bowl spicy, savory, or sweet. I'll be back....they may know me by name sooner than later. Best of both worlds! You can make your own with your choices of fish and different sauces! I call those sushi bowls honestly. BUT! They also have Poké like I had when I went to Hawaii! Oddly though...they have huge chunks of fish. Maybe a bit smaller chunks would be nice. Their scoops are 3 for a large bowl, but the scoops are bigger than what I see in poki bowl joints in CA. Largest poke restaurant in Seattle? From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall, but once you open those doors, there is a huge bright open space filled with rows of 2-person tables. In the very back, there's the poke station with the "line starts here" sign placed in an awkward place.. It starts in the middle, but to order you go to the right, then you pay on the very left side of the station. Anyway, I got the Hawaiian classic (signature) with half greens and half brown rice. I received white and brown rice and some greens at the bottom. The flavor was on point. It was savory and perfectly seasoned. The quality of fish was also great with it larger chunks provided (~1inch cubes) and no fibrous pieces. No fishy smell and served cold. Large quantity of fish (but for $13), it better be. Served with a little avocado mixed into the poke, side of Mac salad, and some seaweed. Worth it? Surprisingly, yes. It's pricey, but the flavor was there. Being my first time, I just stuck with the poke. I ordered a poke bowl with spicy ahi poke and chopped up spicy ahi. I got imitation crab (crab salad), avacado($2 more...), masago, ginger, furikake and the spicy mayo sauce on top. The poke tasted fresh and was good quality, but I was more partaken with the chopped up spicy ahi. The flavor was pretty good, although it never really hit the levels of the the chopped ahi back in Hawaii, maybe I'm small kine biased. My bowl came out to $14~$15, which in my mind, is robbing me blind. I think I'm going to eat home lunch for awhile now, haha. In summary, decent food, on the pricey side, but that's Seattle for you.
