I've been on a Poke binger lately. Like, its all I can think about. Eat. Sleep. Poke. Recently discovered this place and now they've triggered my addiction in the best way - thank God for Seattle safe injection sites because I need a safe place to make animal noises while I inject myself with this poke gloriousness! I get the large bowl each time with spicy tuna and 2 scoops of salmon. Add the wasabi aoili and spicy sriracha and it puts me into these epileptic fits of bliss! I really love their green tea noodles rather than the rice, added with their super fresh greens. The edamame has the perfect amount of crunch to it as well. We love this place and are probably here weekly. We are in West Seattle and make the drive to satisfy our cravings for their poke, rice bowls, and boba tea. I was hesitant to try this place.. but the food choices in sodo are so few and far between so I decided to take the chance. Its a pretty straight forward concept. You can skip the line and order a pre-defined poke bowl or build your own bowl. You have a choice between white and brown rice or noodles as your base. As your choice of meat, you have grilled chicken (which people surprisingly order) / salmon / ahi / spicy tuna / albacore. There are a variety of sauces like creamy sriracha, avocado aioli, soy sauce, ponzu, etc. The toppings are probably what makes it the most worthwhile. It appears that you can add as many toppings as you want and this ranges from different kinds of veggies, ginger, edamame, masago, imitation crab meat, lettuce, etc. They are still doing a grand opening deal of 15% off I believe. The normal price of a regular is $11 (two meats) and the large is $13 (three meats). I'm going back tomorrow.. I'm hoping I found my regular spot! read more

I like the decor. Although I may sound sarcastic, the sparseness reminds me of growing up in the late 80s. Stood there for a few minutes, before realizing the lady was engrossed in tv. Said, "hello" but tv was pretty good. Went near the tv. Employee was very nice, but i ordered a build your own bowl with 2 scoops for $12.50. I got charged, after tax, around $16.50, so think I got charged for a large bowl. My bowl was definitely not large, and for this price would have preferred to eat elsewhere, as I am still hungry. read more

Went ahead and decided to try this spot out while I was in the industrial area. At first glance, from the reviews it seemed like this place was a hole in the wall, to our surprise this place was very underwhelming.. The spicy salmon poke had a rubbery/non-fresh feel to it and the bulgogi was decent. Customer service was very friendly, I must give them that! I would hope in the future that the menu items would be reevaluated for quality control and presentation. read more

SoDo Poke is definitely in my top 3 places for poke. It's super clean, quick, and flavorful! I come here quite often for lunch cause it's right next to my work, and although it may be a tiny bit more expensive than an average lunch dish, it is so worth it. They do not hold back with their portions and really make sure that your bowl is FILLED when you finish your order. The bowl components are super well seasoned, spiced, and are super well balanced with everything they offer. I usually get the tofu (as embarrassing as it is in a poke shop) with mixed greens, brown rice, and nearly all the toppings. The best part is that you can choose as many toppings as you'd like because there is no limit or extra charge (except for the avocados)! I do have confirmation though that their raw fish is incredibly fresh and super satisfying, so don't let my tofu choices make you disregard this review!! haha I'm happy to say that I've found one of my regular lunch spots, and so I 100% recommend SoDo Poke to anyone in the search for some great poke! read more

WAS MY FAV PLACE FOR LUNCH, NO MORE LATELY!!! -I come here mostly EVERYDAY for lunches, loved it. My order was the same everyday, only ask for extra 2 specific topping items (I only get 4 topping items). Lately once in awhile I will get that right, usually not, also the amount of my food got cut off too (when you order same thing everyday, you will notice the weight of the package when you pick it up). -Especially, today is my 1st time ever changing my order, I always get large bowl with 3 choices of protein, today instead of 3rd choice differently, I requested for same as 2nd, just a scoop more, and also spetified that in my order that wasn't tye mistake, turned out they put same amount, so basically I got cut off on my 3rd protein choice. -So technically I pay same price, same amout of tips, but LESS food. Staff members are new I guess, but friendly still thats why I didnt rate 1 or 2 stars. But hopefully the restaurant will improve the service! read more

This really was the worst poke I've ever had.Let me start off by the atmosphere when you walk in, not greeted by an employee, not even a smile. Everybody seems like they really don't want to be there nor do they really want to serve anyone. I ordered the small custom bowl with salmon and ahi tuna. The tuna was fine, however the salmon tasted so fishy, It reminded me of the way my cats food smells. Very offputting, fresh salmon should not taste fishy. This is indicative that they do not store they fish correctly. I will update the post later on to let you know if I have diarrhea or not read more

Fresh Fresh Fresh! I can't get enough of this place! It's like subway for poke (only way better and fresher than subway). You can pick your rice, pick your meat and then a buffet of toppings. My favorites are the pickled ginger, seaweed salad and fresh mango. There are about 8 sauces to choose from too. This is a welcome addition to the bleak lunch choices in the Sodo area. My only complaint is they need to be open for dinner! read more

Not sure where to start. Been trying to try SODO poke for months. Sucks they're only opened on the weekdays. I did enjoy the poke. I had the Ahi tuna and spicy Ahi. I was disappointed when they didn't have the cucumber kimchi but the daikon radish kimchi was okay. All the other toppings were alright. Given it was my first time here, it's too bad they don't offer us to try the sauces. It would have been easier to enjoy if I knew what sauces I was getting. Final note. I was disappointed with was the loud KPop music that didn't represent the Hawaiian culture. I may try other places that are more authentic and that is not a wannabe poke establishment. read more

Ordered a signature poke off of their menu. Starts at $13.50. It was delicious!! It came with rice, spicy salmon, seaweed salad, & macaroni. They have different signature bowls depending on your preference. I'd recommend building your own regular bowl if you're looking to spend less. The "only poke bowls" start at $10. I ordered the açaí smoothie as well. It's great if you don't like smoothies too sweet but probably won't be for you if you have a sweet tooth. They were nice enough to give me a sample of their mango mint tea when I couldn't decide what drink to order. Overall good customer service. My only critique is I did have to ask about drinks because the cashier didn't offer as he was ringing me up I'm not holding that against him though. He was very helpful. The place was a bit empty on a Friday afternoon which was surprising because the food was great. I liked them having pictures of their menu items around the restaurant. It's is clean and spacious despite its appearance on the outside too. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and craving poke but be prepared to spend a bit if you opt for a larger poke bowl. read more

It was my first time having poke, and now I'm hooked. Salmon bowl was full of flavor, plenty of avocado and the macaroni and seaweed salads were sooo good too. Today was my first time eating at SoDo Poke. My first impression as I walked through the doors is that it is clean and very well lit. I want to be able to see how fresh my fish is. The large signage behind the counter listing your options was very helpful. I could stand back at a distance and put my order together without holding up anyone else from ordering. I had the two scooper with tea noodles and a split of salmon and tuna. The fish was cold, fresh and cut properly so it melted like butter. There were plenty of toppings to chose from which were equally as fresh. The toppings were bright and flavorful, I felt healthy just looking at them. I chose to dress my own poke instead of having the pre-dressed poke. I had a soy sauce based sauce for the salt and the wasbi aioli for the heat, delicious! The staff preparing my bowl were friendly and polite which was very refreshing. I give SoDo Poke five stars for cleanliness, good service, the quality of the fish/added options were fresh, colorful and delicious. You receive a good portion and they are affordably priced.
