If they are doing some repairs, that area would look like an unfinished construction site. Contractor materials are left sitting around for months--wood scraps, buckets, and even open walls that remain exposed for weeks without being repaired. The garages in Buildings 495, 509, and 519 have basically been turned into a storage facility for broken appliances like washing machines, refrigerators, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and even a non-working golf cart. Management uses it as their dumping area. If you park in the back garages, expect plumbing leaks dripping from the ceiling onto cars. One of the worst incidents was a sewage spill in Building 489 that happened over a weekend and the management was slow in fixing it. Security is another major concern. Several cars have been burglarized, yet there are still no security cameras installed in the garages. Overall, the lack of maintenance, poor response to serious issues, and complete disregard for tenant safety make this one of the worst-managed apartment complexes I've experienced.

Having moved several times over the years (including two inter-state moves) and reviewing many properties in my search of places to live, all too often I have read many negative reviews on the management staff. My review is not going to be one of them. The staff--Angel, Kevin and Marisela--have been great! They have made our 16 months here an enjoyable one. They manage the property very well, are professional, and are good about handling the various issues that arise. I have never had a hard time reaching them at the office nor had to with them responding to my emails/phone calls. Alex and Andy handle maintenance do excellent work! They have been quick to respond to maintenance requests we have had and get things fixed in a timely manner. They are a great maintenance team. I will genuinely miss the staff here. One major drawback for me at this time is as tenants move out, vacant units are renovated. New tenants pay a lot less than occupied units. It does not appear occupied units will get renovated. The only way we can get a renovation is to move into a unit that has been renovated. I love my unit for various reasons. I have a great view and privacy. Floor plans are nice here. My carpeting is worn out and all that is offered is new padding. No new carpeting. It's pretty sad when epoxy glue is used to repair your refrigerator cooling strips are worn out and irreparable in your refrigerator. For the most part I enjoy living here. The staff here is nice. No complaints there. I feel safe here and it's close to my job. I understand the staff can only do so much. It's Equity Corporate Offices with the check book. If Equity Corp in Chicago sees this post I can only ask to please consider renovating occupied units since occupied units are paying for the renovations. And rather than using epoxy in refrigerators, replace the whole thing. After speaking to friends of mine outside of our community it appears they have the same issues with respect to high rent increases, old carpeting and outdated appliances that needs repairs should be replaced.

The only problem I have is the insane increase on rent in such a short period of time. We are renting a 2bed 2bath, and although I expected a small rental increase, our rent was increased about 7%. We originally planned to stay at this complex for years to come, but we decided that we will be looking elsewhere in the future and hopefully find a place that does not do such high rental increases. I would recommend as a place to live for just 1 year

DO NOT LEASE AT ANY JONES AND JONES PROPERTY. The AC units cause fires which they front office will just blow off. The plumbing is AWFUL with literal FECES AND RAW SEWAGE coming up through the showers. But they will only put a band-aid fix on that so get used to that raw sewage smell! They also allow illegal parking in front of mailboxes that have been broken into and vandalised. So your mail is not safe. Also, our car port storage unit was broken into and stolen from. They only respond to emails or concerns after several follow ups or if you call them out in a public forum. But they don't like that so they delete reviews and comments and will block you from posting on their community page, a community that you live in! But the biggest issue is the thief in the front office stealing rent checks. The front office will promise you that they are "looking into it" and will follow up later that day. But I'm now over a week waiting on a response to see what happened to our rent check that someone at the front office probably stole. This whole community is a scam and these people should be ashamed for working for this company. They DO NOT care about safety concerns, they only care about getting your rent check and buying good reviews so they can save face. I regret every living here and can't wait to be out of here! Okay- so I want to leave a very honest update about Terra…read more Yes, I have had problems with multiple people that have worked at the on site management office. I have experienced some negative things over the last 3+ years. The property Manager, Chase had left the property and was no longer on site, during the time that she was gone is when I had experienced many negative things. Chase came back! She is so pleasant! She always greets me when she sees me in the office or around the property. She works things out with me, even helps me! Furthermore, Chase has treated me fairly and speaks to me with respect. Chase listens. If I have a leak or an emergency maintenance request, she helps and is on it! Lastly- she has a candy bowl in her office! The maintenance team, as far as I know, consists of Jesus and Sergio. Jesus is a very nice man. He waves hi to me anytime he sees me driving, or walking through the complex. Even if he sees me from across the way, he still waves. When he comes in to fix anything he is kind and respect. Gets the job done fast and well. Sergio is the other maintenance man at the complex. I enjoy Sergio and his always positive attitude. He always says hi when I see him. He will stop to ask how I'm doing and even at times entertains with a good story or conversation. Sergio is a great maintenance man and always does a great job when fixing things in the apartment. Overall, I feel the energy and positivity has increased tremendously Since Chase returned.
