Let me tell you all a tale. One of travel. One of forgetfulness. One of absolute joy…read more I received a text yesterday morning (Monday). This text read "I got you a donut from CBus". curiosity peaked. Yet the person who wonderfully got me a donut I will not see until Friday. Oh no. what will become if my Donut offering? No worries they said. They shall leave it at my employers for me to enjoy Tuesday morning. Now this is going to be 48 hours after initial procurement of donut. skeptical of its condition I was. Yet I believed. Like this donut was Santa Claus and my gifts would be there and great. Oh my was it ever. A maple bacon donut. I have never in my numerous trips around the sun. so many I no longer have hair and AJ Hawk was a freshman as I a senior. This donut made it from CBus to Sylvania, Ohio. Right next to the soon to be mural capital of the world...Toledo. Now this donut was left and forgotten at two different households. Before it was delivered to me at noonish today by a dear dear friend. Now to the donut. It was simply marvelous. 48 hours. Hundreds of miles in cars. Yet it tasted fresh. The bacon, whole well cooked pieces, still crispy. The cream inside. A surprise. I was not expecting. It too was like it had just been shoved inside the soft donut canoe. Exquisite. You Buckeye donuts, along with Gabby, Emmie and the third driver of this magnificent pastry art piece. Are absolutely amazing.

It's in hidden in the plaza so you won't necessarily see it off the Main Street. Once you're inside it has a warm friendly vibe. You get to see the donut making first hand since it's an open kitchen. The menu has many created flavors for the chocolate , fruity, or seasonal lover. Not finding something you like, you can make your own. Think of Cold Stone but for donuts. I decided to go with a few of the created flavors, Honey Blue, Raspberry Beret, and the Mitch. They came piping hot out and were glazed and topped right in front of me. It was great but the icing didn't have a chance to set fully because the donut was so hot. I suggest to ask if you can have them wait a minute or two before putting on the glaze I love the story behind explaining who Donna is. I love learning the back story of any business. I will definitely be back to try other flavor combinations.

I really wanted to like Donna's Delicious Dozen given the great ratings and how much I love donuts,…read moreespecially mini donuts. Unfortunately, I have to say my experience was not the best. We came here on father's day as this location is quite far from us as we live on the West side of Columbus. While I had checked the website to ensure they were open before we drove to the store, upon arrival, they had posted a sign that they weren't taking walk-ins due to the online order volume they had. Still, we had driven all this way and they said we could still order online, so I did, expecting a much longer wait than usual. We ordered 6 donuts and a coffee and settled in to wait. The seating area has some basic tables and chairs and booths along the wall. The interior is very light and colorful, but I would still say this is likely more a place designed for pick up as the seating is more of an afterthought. I did appreciate that they noticed us waiting and tried to get us our order quickly - so the service is friendly when they have the help. As you can tell from the pictures people have posted, the donuts are presented quite nicely. They also were a bit bigger than I expected as I was expecting mini donuts and find these are smaller than a full sized donut, but larger than a mini-donut. Unfortunately, I feel the donuts may have been cooked in too hot of oil as they crumbled quite a bit with the outside separating from the interior. It was a bit oily and then the sweet toppings didn't quite adhere to the donut and made the flavor a bit off - so it wasn't quite there for me. I hope that this may be different experience than what others may have had given their high order volume and what I can imagine was a day they were short staffed being father's day, but I don't think I'll be making the trip out to visit this location again.

New location, same great service and taste!…read more I have tried donuts in many states and countries and I have yet to find one better than here. Well, if I'm honest there was this Amish stand at a farmers market in Central PA that had outstanding donuts, but they only sold them a few times a year and I have no idea how to find them! This trip, I got the big boy donut, a white icing cake donut, and a pretzel. The big boy donut is a huge glazed donut as big as your head. That's right, you can hold it up to your head and it will be just as large!!! This time, however, they put a twist on them and added icing to a few. I know, sweet on top of a sweet sugary donut seems like overkill, and it was. But come on, anyone willing to eat a donut as big as his head has no problem with something super duper sweet! The other items were equally good, and I liked their new larger location. They even added a few new items since I was last there like donut holes/bites. This place continues to reign as the donut king in my estimation, and the fact that they FINALLY accept credit cards now is a huge win.

It was a pleasure to see Resch's Bakery open in Gahanna. We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.

We walked…read morein around 10:15am and I was concerned we may be too late to get a good selection bc I've read plenty of reviews saying they sell out daily and to get there early. It's a small shop by a gas station. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they were ready to take our order before we were ready to give it. I asked about a couple of the varieties in the display counter and those answers helped me make my selections. We ended up with 6 different varieties. A maple cream stick, donut stick, apple fritter, raspberry jelly filled, a buckeye donut (for my hubby) and a chocolate espresso donut (for me). The price was quite reasonable and the people working were very friendly. I also ended up getting a bag of coffee beans after talking with our server and getting her recommendations. She even gave me a sample of one of them they had brewed. We paid for our items and headed out. Several people came while we were there. In fact our friends missed getting to try the espresso donut because someone's that jumped in between us bought the last of them. After trying it when we got to our car I can see why! DELICIOUS!! Would go back for it alone. My husband didn't even wait until we got to the car to try his Buckeye donut and he loved it. Their apple fritter was better than one I bought earlier that morning from a bakery. I didn't think the raspberry jelly filled had nearly enough filling. It easily needed tripled. I say that as someone who worked for three years in a bakery and filled donuts. All in all this was a great stop and if we're in the area again we would definitely drop by to see what's being served.

Alas,…read moreI have this odd quirk where the harder something is recommended, the more likely I am to take my time getting there. It makes no sense, trust me. Anyway, my angel of a boyfriend brought me here for treats. We skipped in just before closing - as a bakery, they start early and close by 3. Immediately, the sights and scents take me back to a corner bakery on Long Island or in the city. I practically ran to the black & white cookies - a forever fave! We got cannolis and the B&W but I will definitely be back to try more things. The cookie was out of this world and just like from my favorite Manhattan corner deli. The cannolis are authentically old school, with the filling not super sweet for American tastes but rather attuned to an Italian palate. So fresh and good! If you're looking for an authentic New York Italian bakery in Columbus, Auddino's is it! Mangia.

Very old school bakery with display cases loaded with traditional Italian pastries along with some grocery items like sauce, oils, and pizza making ingredients. We got offered some fresh Italian cookies to taste and of course we got some, so buttery and soft on the middle but crisp outside perfect for coffee. Snagged an extra large house dough and some Italian pepperoni to make pizza for dinner too. The real star of the show was the lobster tail, crisp croissant style pastry loaded with a dense Italian cream and powder sugar. Overall fantastic treats at a great price served by fantastic people.
