I did write that after all, and there's truly no better way to sum SoFresh up in one sentence. The BBQ chicken bowl with Zoodles is everything I could possibly want when eating healthy. Maybe I'm just being deceived, and in reality, that bowl is not as healthy as it appears. But it's mainly just chicken, zoodles, and bbq sauce. When BBQ sauce is the worst thing you're eating, you're probably doing pretty good. PRO TIP: If you're really being healthy, order this bowl, eat half, and then take the rest home. Boom: lunch and dinner for the price of one! Because if you're shrinking your stomach, this is wayyyyy too much food for one meal. It surprises me that this would do so well near USF. Don't college kids just consume unhealthy substances 24/7, guilt-free? When I was in college, I definitely was not eating zoodles! read more

It's name says it all. From bowls, to wraps, to juices and even their baked goods are to die for. Everything is sooo fresh-can definitely taste the quality of their food. If you want healthier options come to this place, you won't be disappointed! I've gotten their power bowl with steak and a bunch of yumminess in it, like Sauteed carrots, kale slaw, brown rice and quinoa mixed with almonds, raisins, goat cheese and homemade kale-basil pesto. They have protein options like chicken, steak, fish, and tofu-very vegan and vegetarian friedly. So come through try this place out! read more

I so wish there was a So Fresh closer to me! My first visit was at their other location in South Tampa. This location, is a wee bit closer but I would be a much more frequent flier if even closer! The premise is pretty simple. You can order a bowl or salad ($10) or wrap ($8). Then you can add on protein or zoodles for additional $3. Most items are Gluten Free and vegetarian or one or the other. Some are vegan and steak or chicken for you carnivores. The bowls are filling and last me 2 meals. My favorite is the Superfood with zoodles and salmon. This comes with quinoa and brown rice, avocado, walnuts, broccoli and diced tomatoes. Since everything is made fresh, customization is always allowed. You can also create your own bowl. This also comes with a side balsamic vinaigrette. Very tasty! While not lo cal, it is real food and nutrient dense so totally worth it. read more

We decided to try this place since we were in the area and it turned out to be a great idea! Kevin (and Ben on a subsequent visit) provided very friendly and professional service. The dining room and bathrooms were spotless which is always a plus. We really enjoyed the food and dare I say it, the so fresh taste. We both ordered custom bowls with varieties of quinoa, veggies, cheese, sauce and steak or tofu. Everything was properly prepared and the combinations were wonderfully tasty and filling. I couldn't even finish mine and got the remainder to go. We ordered a third to go for much later or tomorrow. Interestingly, the sound track was old-school 70's funk which was a great change of pace. How often do you hear Brick House by the Commodores or Let it Whip by the Dazz Band? This was our first time here so I don't know if this was a one time or a regular thing but either way, it made our visit fun! Just to complete the interesting experience, a gentleman came in while I was standing by the door and told me a story about not having a gas can so he could fill up his car. I said, "look, I'll take you to get some gas after we finish our meal." Then, he told me he called his insurance company and they told him he didn't have AAA service. I'm like, what? Finally, he offered to sell me his driver's license for $3. I quickly realized this story was half-baked at best and told him to leave us immediately, which he did. I then watched him accost others on the sidewalk by Winn Dixie. If he'd just asked for a so fresh meal, I might have bought him one. Oh well. read more

I always love it here. The bowls are so good. They have tons of vegan and vegetarian options which I love! It's also right next door to campus which is nice, especially since they have wifi for my iPad or MacBook :) it's pretty quick, my bowl took no longer than 10 minutes. Last time I came I had an ahi tuna bowl with kale slaw and zoodles instead of rice. It was so good and I was full after eating half my bowl! Almost too quickly for me to fully digest the impressive array of offerings that are sure to make So Fresh Salads & Grill grow on many, many more fans and customers, of which I am now one. This is the one and only, for now. With seating indoors and outdoors and the option to eat in or take out, So Fresh can make food to take or food to enjoy right now. It was busy the day I visited but blissfully not noisy which made conversation easy and the meal even more enjoyable. But to get right to it - the food is really what dining out is all about and this food was soooo good. The concept focuses on offering lots of healthy alternatives but providing a convenient and reasonably priced way to eat your vegies, enjoy your soup, sip on a smoothie or create and customize your own satisfying sandwich. The options are many and I love that. The interior decor is not severe, sterile or otherwise off-putting but inviting and really welcoming. I could definitely hang out here and likely will whenever I am in the area. Beer has been added and wine is soon to follow but the juice I selected to accompany my meal was perfect so the option to pair something a bit healthier helps take this food to another level. read more

Good healthy choice, well located. I'm always looking for healthier options. This is a good alternative. Very clean and good service. Facility has flat screen tvs as well which is pretty cool. Ordered the seared tuna bowl, chicken shawarma, kale smoothly and two kids sandwiches all came up to $35. Nothing to brag home about, but the meals were pretty good and fresh for sure. Felt they could use a better menu. Not sure I was diggin the use of a highlighter to place my order. Maybe that wasn't the purpose... Who knows??? I visited the so fresh near USF in the University Collections yesterday. I had a box's fiesta wrap. It was one of the best wraps I have ever had! I had it with the grilled citrus chicken! It was amazing!i The staff was really friendly and the service was great! I will definitely be back to this location! I found this restaurant by accident and it was a wonderful surprise! There were five other places to eat in the same place, but everyone of them required a mask to enter and I had left my mask in the car! This restaurant is, by far, one of the best in Tampa. The food is such fresh, great quality and it's genuinely delicious! It makes me feel good and excited to eat healthily. When I lived in Florida and I would walk into the Fowler location, I would always be met with familiar happy, smiling faces of the staff members. The difference between this restaurant and others similar to it isn't just that the food is without a doubt better, it's that the staff remember you and make a connection with you. They always ask how everything is, they ask how your day is, they strike up a conversation with you. They genuinely care about their customers. I visit this location often for their fresh, healthy selections. Whether you are going low carb or just looking for a healthy option for lunch or dinner this place serves that purpose. I have two favorites on the menu...the Skinny bowl with zoodles, tomato sauce and brocolli and the Superfood bowl with quinoa, broccoli, walnuts, balsalmic and avocado. I have yet to try their salads but am planning to soon. You can also "build your own" bowl. Plenty of proteins to choose from including chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon and tuna. Be warned this place can get SLAMMED at lunch time. I've been here when the line was at the door and other times when it was slower. If you are in a hurry, you can order ahead and save time. Problem solved! They have a separate line for people picking up their orders. It's a little pricey, but well worth it! By far the best location I've been at is this Fowler location. Friendly staff too! I've been to the South Tampa location which is smaller. I can't speak for the other menu items because I've only been to that location once, but the Superfood bowl just didn't taste the same as at the Fowler location. read more

My wife and I went here for the first time and it was the bomb! My wife ordered a mediterranean salad with Ahi Tuna. She said it was really good. Fresh and lots of food! I asked John, the cashier, what he normally gets. He described a a delicious breakfast Quesadilla filled with a spicy sauce and BBQ sauce for dipping. With its description and hype from his coworker, I decided to get it. The Quesadilla...lived up to its hype. It was an absolute banger! I always enjoy my visits here . I'm grateful for the delicious vegan and vegetarian options they offer. It's always nice to have food energize you instead of making you feel healthy. Most of all I like that this place reminds me that all dreams have the capacity to wake into reality. I remember when my friend (the owner) was showing me drawings of the intended logo and this place only existed in the mind and on paper. Now it exists and it's wonderful. If I try the place again at a different location, where she does not work. The guy before us was served in a nice bowl, we had to go boxes. I'm hoping to have a very different experience. I work down the street at Moffitt Cancer Center and at my offsite clinic the other side of USF and this place is the easiest and healthiest place I can pick up a quick dinner for my husband and me when we are too exhausted to cook. They have vegan and gluten-free options for us plant-based, whole foods eaters from SoCal. Our go-to dish is the Buddha Bowl with tofu, we always add zoodles and extra veggies to get more fiber into our diet :) Warning, this location is right by USF, so depending on the time of day it can get really busy. I recommend calling your order and picking up! Love places like this where you can build your own bowls and salads! read more

I come in at least twice a week for lunch and have never been disappointed. Service is quick, staff is friendly, food portions are generous, awesome music and ambiance . My go to item is the Superfood bowl with rice, quinoa, broccoli, chicken, tomatoes, walnuts, fresh avocado slices and switch it up with the sweet chili sauce (soo yummy). Also recommend the Stirfry bowl, Greek Bowl with the salmon and Surfer smoothie. They have tons of other delicious options. Highly recommend. They recently opened a new location in SoHo right on Howard, now i have a location right by my job :))) One of my favorite go to places, wish they had one in the Citrus Park area. read more

The atmosphere is very nice when you enter, however, just my opinion, I find the menu way too lengthy and it's hard to remember what my options when making a bowl without looking at the menu about 100 times. Absolutely the shittiest experience I've had at a place in a while. Ordered a power bowl and a super food bowl for take out. To start with the power bowl is missing half of the ingredients that it is to be made with. There are no almonds, raisins, or goat cheese to be found on my bowl at all, and this is after paying $11 for a take out box of rice and veggies. Second, the avocado on the super food bowl doesn't look fit to be put on food at all, will he posting photos. For such a high price I expect so much more. read more

SoFresh was a new experience for me, I'm the kind of person that doesn't get food I can "make at home" but I gave it a shot as I was in a rush and I can honestly say I don't regret it. The food was great and well seasoned and the portions were pretty hefty and delicious. I'm typically a big fan of large portions and their to go chicken bowl really filled me up! The service was very quick and friendly. Most importantly the menu was very healthy and fresh. I wouldn't recommend if you're on a budget as two plates were close to $30.
