Was looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat after a movie at the Tampa Theater. Lucky for us, my son wasn't hungry. Apparently, he's deathly allergic to healthy food. So, my wife and I ended up here. She was a little lukewarm on the idea at first but I talked her into it. We each created our own bowl. The guy behind the counter was really cool and incredibly patient as we kind of stumbled through the menu. I got some basil sauce thing on my bowl. My wife got avocado goddess or something like that. I don't know what is in that goddess sauce, but I haven't seen that look in her eye since our wedding day. She even convinced the guy to give her one to take home. The food was really fresh. Stopped here to get a quick bite and overall, it was pretty delicious and very healthy. They offer vegetarian and vegan options. The customer service was friendly and helpful! I ordered a bowl and got quinoa, beans, zoodles (super tasty), veggies, and their lemon sauce. The total came to a little over $11. I think that's a bit pricey but I don't blame So Fresh; healthy food is always expensive, unfortunately! Plus, my boyfriend and I shared the bowl AND had leftovers. The portions were pretty good for what you're paying for. I did feel like there was a lot quinoa in the bowl and there wasn't much of a satisfying balance between all the foods. However, it was technically the "base", so it's my fault for getting it. They have sitting indoors and outside. Everything is clean and looks to be up to date. Super duper fresh. Loved menu options and that they don't add anything to the juice. I ordered a Cali bowl with chicken. Replaced the beans and quinoa for two other veggie mix-in options.. which in my opinion was even better! I was worded that my mushroom and broccoli add-in might be too raw but loved that they slightly cooked it just the way I love em. She offered the pesto sauce dressing or the sweet agave mustard one. I picked the kale pesto which reminded me of my favorite one from Trader Joe's. Overall the proportions were generous compared to a lot of other similar type places. My favorite healthy lunch spot downtown Tampa! Always consistently fast and everything is super fresh. You can tell they use quality ingredients as well and the portions are really generous. Worst quesadilla I have had in my life. My 4 year old makes a better one than this. This. Gross. Taste like pure tortilla. Never again.

I never thought i'd be the person to leave a bad review, but I feel like I have to. I went in today on my lunch break and I ordered the Stir Fry bowl with chicken ($10), subbed my mushrooms for broccoli, added avocado ($1), and got the Surfer smoothie ($5). I ordered the food to go. I'm a 25 year old dude in a band, so i'm not one to spend $17 (after tax) on a meal, but everything sounded so good, and the cashier had great recommendations. What I received was not a $17 meal, nor even a $7 meal. The portion was so small, the food didn't even take up a quarter of the to go container. The rice and veggies were soggy, and everything tasted as if it were a frozen meal they had just microwaved. The additional avocado I ordered was old and soggy as well. The smoothie, while it had a good flavor, was largely separated between liquid and solid chunks, and had more of the texture of "some green stuff in water" than a smoothie. Anyways. I don't recommend. Won't spend another penny here again. I bounced into SoFresh on a whim as I was trying to find a new spot downtown to share lunch with a friend. I was in a salad kind of mood so I gave it a shot as this place made me feel like they would have fresh food. In fact they did, but you definitely have to pay the price for what I found to be underwhelming. Most of their bowls and salads started in the $10 range, and any meats were at least $4 extra. I had the rise and shine, which was predominantly rice and the egg was overcooked. Portion sizes were average, and by the end of the experience I was left wanting more. It's not that I was dissatisfied with the food, it was just nothing special or particularly memorable and I felt like this place has the potential to be great. Service was okay as my friend was being notably indecisive as she was not prepared for their menu board and the girl at the register was also notable annoyed by this. All in all, this place could certainly do well for people that value veggies over meats and paying top dollar for grab and go salads, but it was just not my cup of tea. read more

Went into this location for lunch at about 11:30 and was able to walk right up and order. Another 10 minutes and the line was almost out the door. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and substituted the brown rice for Rutherford zucchini zoodles. The food was very fresh and came out quickly. I also enjoyed the 3 flavors of iced tea. The space filled up quickly with the mid week lunch crowd and became quite noisy as it is very open and sparsely furnished. Some noise dampening material or soft surfaces might help. Great spot in downtown Tampa. Being in town for work and having less than an hour for lunch with a group of 8 people, this was the perfect spot. There wasn't a huge line and there were multiple registers open to take orders so things went fast. There were so many choices to choose from, I ended up with the Granny salad with chicken. The salad came to our table in matter of seconds that I wasn't sure it was even mine. Everything on it was fresh from the spinach to chicken to the apple. Apple is one thing where it could change colors if its sitting out but this did not have any of that. With all the choices on the menu, I would come back and try them all. SoFresh is a great option if you're trying to eat healthy. You can either choose from one of their pre-made recipes or build your own bowl/salad based on the options they have. I love the pesto dressing, the chicken, tofu, and chickpea ingredients specifically. The chicken is not dry and very flavorful. The tofu is firm and crispy and makes a great alternative for the meat proteins the chickpeas are what truly impress me because they are the PERFECT texture. Not to hard but not to mushy. They are soft for easy chewing. My one caveat to SoFresh is that I wish they would list the ingredients in their dressings just so I make more conscious decisions about what I'm putting into my body. read more

After telling the disoriented girl at the register twice after ordering my aunts quesadilla that mine would not be a quesadilla since she kept saying "quesadilla" and additionally I told her my order would be GF (I don't eat any allergens when flying). I even told her how I'd like the bowl layered, and she still gave me a quesadilla. I did take out, luckily I checked my order before leaving to find that she gave me a quesadilla. I then showed her my meal, she argued with me that it was what I ordered then ultimately brought me back a bowl that was incorrect and without a top to take it with me (my aunt did begin eating hers since we had to wait for mine to be redone) I then asked for a refund to later find she refunded my aunts quesadilla, of lesser value. I called back and let her know that and again, she debated with me that she refunded me the one I ordered not the other. I have receipt proof, but there has still been no resolve and I tipped her on take out to make matters worse. She deserves zero tip. I will likely never return here (and would have if the service had been better because my aunt enjoyed her food). She said I have to wait to speak to a manager but what already urked me is that while I was at the venue, the manager was there at the table next to where my aunt was sitting and said absolutely nothing about this girls rudeness or step in as he should have. The lack of professionalism here is astounding, when I told her that I had wanted my meal refunded her first thought was to say "not the other persons meal just yours!" I said MY meal, apologizing for the inconvenience should have been the first thing to come her mind. I know it's something very small, but it does show that they pay attention to who their customers are. The food is awesome and I would imagine fairly healthy. HaHa.
