I decided to sit outside the establishment where they have tables, but I was immediately asked not to frequent the restaurant because I used their restroom before ordering. I visited often prior to this incident. The food is descent, but those concerned about social justice might consider going elsewhere. They offer vegan options, but when a company treats humans worse than our non-human friends, one must question true ethics of a company vs marketing. read more

One of the best lunch options in downtown Tampa. You can choose whether you'd like any of the options as a bowl (8.99) or wrap (6.99). There's an option to add a protein for $2-5 each, and I typically add chicken or tofu. I've had their bowls and wraps, and both are delicious. The bowl is especially filling and I have been able to make three meals out of it. :) Rise & Shine - quinoa, spinach, sweet potatoes, jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, bacon, 2 poached eggs, avocado green goddess. - Basically, it's an excuse for breakfast lovers (like me) to eat a second breakfast for lunch. :) They did not skimp on the bacon for this one. Superfood - quinoa, brown rice, broccoli, tomatoes, walnuts, avocado, balsamic vinaigrette. - Their most balanced customer favorite option. I added chicken to my bowl, which I think was necessary. There was a lot of quinoa and brown rice at the bottom of my bowl, but still enough of the other toppings to keep it interesting. The walnuts added to the texture and went well with the chicken. You should come eat here. Here's why: 1) The food is cooked fresh so quickly - even when they were busy our food came out in 5-8 minutes. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine. 2) The service is incredible. I've been here twice in the last two days because I have a lot of food sensitivities and not only were they able to accommodate me, but Erin remembered what I could/couldn't have and made sure my ordering process was a breeze on my second visit. 3) The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE. Usually I'm a fan of the SoFresh chains but I had the most awful and unprofessional experience at this location last night. I work downtown so I come in here occasionally for lunch, but after last night I will never go again. From the minute I walked in I was astonished by the customer service. The girl at the cash register was visibly annoyed we had walked in (she was counting the drawer ten minutes before closing.) I apologized for coming in so late and explained I hadn't eaten all day (due of Ramadan). She made us feel burdensome to the point where my friend who was with me felt uncomfortable ordering something too. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. That is not what I got. We receive the food and started to walk back to our car. Soon after taking a bite out of the quesadilla (I was sharing with my friend), I realize there's no chicken in the wrap. I walked back and let the employee know the order was incorrect and instead of apologizing and handling it the proper way, I heard the cook mock me. He didn't realize I could see him from the door. Instead of being embarrassed by his actions he began to laugh out loud, blatantly in my face. He then proceeded to hand us a cup of chicken instead of remaking my quesadilla. I stumbled upon this great restaurant. I ordered pesto club wrap with grilled citrus chicken and I must say, it is delicious!!!! The pesto compliments the citrus chicken as well as the veggies inside the wrap. The counter lady was friendLy, very efficient and professional. She was taking order while bagging to go orders. It was large and healthy and they adjust to what you want to add or take out of it. I went both days with the Signature salad but day one had chicken (no extra charge) and day two added zoodles, their take on zucchini With Ahi Tuna $3 upcharge. Wow what a great lunch and large portion. If i lived near by this would be a staple for me as i eat out everyday. They had 4 choices of ice tea which was great as i do not like bubbles in my drinks. Unless you've used the machines after several times of use it's rather confusing and you still have to ask an employee for help... And it's not just me, I witnessed this while dinning in to eat. So how does this "save time" for the staff? Maybe it's the integration of their on-line ordering system? I've seen this trend at airports and a few fast food places. No thank you. Plus, only one soup? I LOVED the old soups. Ugh. Guess I'm just disappointed and it was not a very good first impression with the "new" way this company is headed. WORSE... You have to ask for a receipt? AND the receipt does NOT have the total (cost of food plus tip)?!?!?! Seriously? I've never had a business not include a tip (total) on an automated receipt. Never. Yes, most restaurant receipts have a line for you to write in the tip and that's the point... What's my TOTAL? I want to know so that 30 days later, when I get my Credit Card statement, I know the debit I'm being charged is correct. So now I have to ask the employee for a pin so I can write the tip amount down on my receipt and add up the total. Joke. read more

The menu is simply and I liked the choose-your-own options but for a group of 3 with bottles of water and tip a simple lunch came out to $50. I ended up choosing a bowl of Skinny (zucchini noodles, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions parmesan and tomato puree) with tofu. It took about 7-10 minutes and it arrived fresh and ready to eat. It was served in a plastic container, which in my opinion was slightly too hot for that specific container. The dish itself was delicious. I really enjoyed the tomato sauce. This SoFresh is conveniently located downtown for anyone that lives or works there. I've been twice for lunch. The first time I ordered the Power bowl with tofu, and the second time I ordered the same dish as a wrap. Both times I was pleased with the freshness and deliciousness. The bowl costs $9, plus $2 for tofu, so $11 plus tax. I cannot imagine how anyone could be satisfied without adding a protein. My photo is super close-up, so you can see all the goodness packed into it, but you can't tell how small the portion is. It's thoroughly delicious and enjoyable while I'm eating it, but then once I finish, I'm left hungry. Both times. The wrap seemed a tad on the small side, but I wasn't complaining. Until I finished it and I was still hungry. I think, however, that they have a great operation here. I love that you can order and pay online, and then walk in and grab your order from the shelf. So easy and convenient! I haven't done this yet, but I will next time. The restaurant itself is bright with plenty of seating available inside and a few tables available outside. As the title says it is "So Fresh" The custom bowls here as just so so good. The ingredients, seasoning, and sauces were perfect and not heavy at all. I love that they prepare what you want exactly and made to order which makes you able to eat healthy in a timely manner when in a rush in downtown. The portions are absolutely huge and well seasoned. Even with a line out of the door you are in and out with plenty of time to spare in a crunch. The price for 8.95 for something fresh and made to order is great. Omg this is good. I only walked on out of starvation and desperation and boy am I glad i did. Got the stir fry. I added the zucchini noodles and chicken. It was served piping and I mean "gotta blow it first hot." It came with sweet chili sauce but honestly I didn't need it. I added my beloved siracha and all was well. It was very filling and flavorful. Here on business and I think I know where I am having lunch tomorrow. I always had a strawberry smoothie. It was tasty too. They have all the tribes covered. This is a local chain with spots around Tampa. The vegetables are fresh, the service is friendly, the menu is well thought out, and you can sit outside. Fantastic. Had the Power Bowl with Ahi tuna, loved it! In fact, I loved it so much I ordered a Skinny Bowl with chicken to go! The kale pesto that came with the Power Bowl was delicious-- given the chance I would have bought a quart of it. The veggies and grains were flavorful and satisfying, and the Ahi was fresh and perfectly seared. Was looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat after a movie at the Tampa Theater. Lucky for us, my son wasn't hungry. Apparently, he's deathly allergic to healthy food. So, my wife and I ended up here. She was a little lukewarm on the idea at first but I talked her into it. We each created our own bowl. The guy behind the counter was really cool and incredibly patient as we kind of stumbled through the menu. I got some basil sauce thing on my bowl. My wife got avocado goddess or something like that. I don't know what is in that goddess sauce, but I haven't seen that look in her eye since our wedding day. She even convinced the guy to give her one to take home. The food was really fresh.
