Yard House is one of my favorite sports bar of all time. We live in downtown Tampa so it's just a quick walking distance there & home. Not only the drinks are phenomenal, but the food is absolutely amazing. The hubs really likes the brussels sprouts here. I think they are too wet. I wouldn't order them myself. I normally like them crispy on the outside and moist in the middle and not wet. It was a weird sauce almost like Cajun, which is unusual for brussels sprouts. I still think Yeoman's has the best Brussels sprouts in the area. The onion rings here are the absolute best. The breading is flat and smooth, and the onions are thick. Places that make the crispy bumpy batter usually scratch my throat being so crispy however, the onion rings here are flat and smooth, and that doesn't happen. I like to order it with a side of beer cheese dipping sauce; it is absolutely incredible. I definitely recommend ordering a side of beer cheese dipping sauce. The drinks here are so strong. I was only able to get one since it was so strong. They are just too strong for me but very delicious. The hubs likes all of the drinks here he's tried them all. I ordered the espresso reposado martini, and I explained it to the server that I didn't want it sweet and he had a smarta$$ remark. I never saw him again after that drink hopefully, I never get that server again. He was ridiculous. The remainder of the service is absolutely incredible. Everyone is super sweet that we ordered food & rest of our drinks from. They must really enjoy their job. They're just a lovely bunch there. Know the menu extensively well and can recommend anything that you're craving for. Except for the first guy that we ordered our drinks from I would avoid that person. He was weird. read more

This is my go to place when pre-gaming for anything at Benchmark (formerly Amalie) arena. They have the biggest selection of beer I have ever seen. Even the pickiest beer drinker can find something here. All the food here is solid. This time I decided to get a custom made pizza. Despite being pre-game busy, my server was happy to oblige. Ordered a sausage, mushroom, and onion pizza. It was very good. Not just, "good for any restaurant", but "good as a high end pizzeria" good. Be prepared if you come during a pre-game. Lots of activity, lots of people, longer wait times. So come early, or after the game and enjoy pizza and your favorite beer! On a side note, I've heard a rumor that a Yard House is coming to Wesley Chapel in the future. Can't wait. read more

Went here before the Kid Cudi concert last night. When we first walked in, we asked if we could sit outside and they said it was first come, first serve. So we walked to the outside shaded area to grab a table but the waitress stopped us and said the free seating is outside outside (in the sun). So we went back in and asked for a table in the shaded outside. They brought us back to the table we were originally trying to sit at. So, already a rough start. The shaded area is nice to sit in though. It wasn't too hot, they had fans on and I wasn't cold for the first time ever. We ordered the truffle fries, Kurobuto Pork burger, wings (half lemon pepper, half buffalo) and Brussels sprouts, a medium sized Blue Moon and a medium sized Yuengling. The truffle fries were terrible! Mostly cold, not crispy, not enough salt, just overall bad. No Parmesan cheese on them either. The Kurobuto burger was actually pretty delicious. It had candied bacon, white American cheese, arugula and blueberry ketchup. The Brussels sprouts were nothing to write home about. They had good flavor, but weren't crispy at all. Half of the wings came out cold (the buffalo ones). We asked to have them replaced and then the waitress disappeared for about 15-20 minutes as our beers sat empty. Not sure what happened, but the wings came back out after 15 minutes, right before we were ready to leave. My friend said she didn't want them because we were about to go to a concert and didn't want to leave them in her car. The waitress finally came back about 10 minutes after that and said the wings should be coming. We told her we sent them back because they took too long. She ended up taking them off the bill. The ambiance was nice and it's a convenient place to eat if you're going to an event at Benchmark, but the food didn't live up to the high prices. Would probably not come back. read more

This location is always busy due to it being across from Benchmark Arena but they are veryyyy quick when it comes to getting your food out to you. I love that you can put yourself on the waitlist before you arrive! It is a very loud environment, so if you're looking for some place to have intimate conversation, this is not the place for that. I am not sure if there is an issue on my side or what but I swore I wrote this review already & added my pictures! This review would have received less stars if a manager did not stop by our table and fix some issues. We had planned to dine here previous to this visit to Tampa. I was here for a work event and did not want to travel far from our hotel. Unfortunately, there was a convention taking place at several hotels and the convention center the same time so everywhere was crowded like cockroaches. Upon walking in, this place was also crowded. We put our name on the list and kept watching the bar area for anyone who left. After 25 minutes, we were led to our table. Our server approached us quick enough and took our drink order. Once she put in our drinks, she offered us to order. We were starving so we placed our order. Our table was a couple feet from the bar but our drinks never arrived. I ordered the Kale salad and Gardein wings, which arrived prior to our drinks arriving. The manager was the one who dropped the food off and I informed him we never received our drinks, to which he inquired what they were, retrieved them from the bar, and then offered to remove them from the bill. That was a nice offer. Our server was not to be seen again until a good 30 minutes later. I just wanted to get a box and get the hell out of there. The food was okay but the wings were cold. Hubs enjoyed his food but it was not good as previous visits to other locations. read more

Such a fun place to watch a game! They have a large menu with options for any picky eater and one of the biggest beer menus in town. I love their Brussels and chicken lettuce wraps. Also, their "healthy" menu is pretty good if you're watching your calories. My only real complaint with this place is the dessert. We did not get a dessert we enjoyed very much. Online it said it was a 16-25 minute wait but we waited closer to 45 minutes. Outside is first come first serve. I highly recommend the chicken nachos. They are my favorite thing on the menu. We ordered 3 appetizers at once but they came out one by one I suppose when they were done to clear the window. When we got our boneless wings they were cold. We decided just to take the home and put them in our airfryer. All other food and drinks were good. It's quite loud in here when busy. A beautiful restaurant with a great feel. Outside and inside, it felt like quality. Very modern vibe with a low light tone. We quickly got seated and we waited for our waitress. She was beautiful and very polite. She waited no time tending to us and she did an excellent job. We ordered and spent time talking and looking at sports on there large TVs. Finally our food came and in the nick of time, because I was starving. I'm pleased to report the food was incredible. I don't always do steak, but they all recommended it. I have to say, medium was perfect. It was juicy and they included a sauce I didn't skip on. I definitely enjoyed my time. Even though there were quite a few people the service was fairly quick and on top of things. They were bustling around. Within 15 minutes of sitting, ordering, and taking my first sip of beer, my food had arrived. I ordered the pizza which was on late night happy hour price and was clutch. The options aren't that great but I'll take a few dollars off whenever I have the chance. The pizza was okay. Greasy how I like it but the sausage was meh and the cheese wasn't gooey. But again, I didn't have high expectations and so I wasn't terribly disappointed. I just needed something in my tummy. The rest of the menu looked pretty legit. The hostess when I entered weren't terrible. They seemed over the day and ready for closing. There are tables all around bar which is an oval shape and in the middle of the establishment. This was my first time at a Yard House restaurant. The wait time for a table was less than five minutes which was good. The layout of the restaurant is spacious. Enrique was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. It was busy during lunch because I was in Tampa for a convention. This made the servers very busy with longer than normal wait times for ordering food and drinks. It would have helped if you could order your own food from the kiosk on each table. Unfortunately, it only allows you to pay for your meal. The server was only able to place the order via the kiosk. All of the food was very delicious. I really enjoyed the Spicy Jambalaya. It had multiple proteins (chicken, crawfish, and shrimp). Truffle fries were good as an appetizer. My friend who dined with me also enjoyed the steak. Meal portions are large. A while back I went and there was a cheerleading competition happening at the Amelia across the street. Plenty of seating. Someone had their dog (which I HATE at restaurants) -- they were outside and the dog was behaving and chilling, but still very hairy and I just hate it. We have bad to several other locations for yard house, but were extremely happy to hear that tampa bay was going to get one for ourselves. The space the location set on was vacant for years.So it is nice to see that is finally in good news for when you're going to a hockey game or anything that is going down at the arena. When there is an event you'll want to be there early especially if you are with a group of people because it does fill up extremely fast. Ben and I normally sit at the bar it even finding one open seating spot is a very difficult task.So generally , it starts off with me sitting down and him , standing behind me until one of our neighbors decides to leave. Even when that happens, other people are normally watching the open seating areas and try to swoop in.While he's standing right there and we have actually had people kind of give us attitudes about it when we've been standing there the whole time or Ben has been standing there the whole time and he just needs one seat and unfortunately , they have three or four people with feel entitled to all the seats. Generally this ends well at the end of a small conversation, but there are times here or there where people just do not want to give up or stand there themselves and we have to remind them that in such a busy spot directly across the street from the arena that if they come with multiple people that they should probably plan well ahead in advance and get there early. They have tons of beverage options on tap including other drinks of your choice.And they also have a very good menu as we have eaten there several times as a stack before going into the arena itself. Yard House always delivers. Huge portions, huge TVs, and of course the yard of beer. The food is consistently solid, with plenty of options no matter what you're in the mood for. Szechuan beef noodles, Cobb salad and vampire tacos are my favorites. It's a more low-key, casual spot on Water Street, which makes it a great balance among the trendier spots nearby. Unfortunately, the chicken was so tough it could not be cut with my fork and knife. The waiter happened to be coming by and asked how it was. I showed him the chicken, he immediately took it back and had a new one made. I appreciated the willingness to make it right. The second salad came out. The chicken was juicy and was able to be cut with a fork. Unfortunately, the salad comes with southwestern style corn. The corn was like ice - like they took it straight from the freezer and just spooned a scoop onto the plate. I thought maybe I was crazy, so I asked my husband to try the corn - he was like "that taste frozen still". I am thankful that the waiter did not charge me for my salad - but to be honest, I thought by making another salad they would redeem themselves and live up to the standard of other Yard Houses. Unfortunately, not the case. I did speak to the manager on duty as I was leaving to share the experience of the second salad and the ice cold corn. He did admit that the corn comes frozen and they blanch it - clearly they missed a step. No apology or please come back and give us another try, didn't really seem to care.
