So I had to turn off the water main until it could get fixed, because otherwise the water would just run full blast. Because of my hard water, the cartridge in the valve was stuck, and with the shaft sheered, I couldn't get a grip on it to pull it out. Clearly it was time to call in an expert... and fast! I gave Jesus a call, and he came out within a couple of hours. It took him a bit of time, force, and creativity to finally break the old cartridge loose... but he got it, and we were back in business! I had specifically called Tracy Rooter because I've found with other projects that I strongly prefer working with small local businesses instead of big corporations. And, again in this case, I think that was the right choice. With a small business like this, every customer matters... and I felt that in his interactions, in his service, and even in his reasonable pricing. We found out when we purchased our house the previous plumbers had not connected the only shower to…read morethe sewer system. A temporary fix was installed, but all the pipe was rotted cast iron underneath the bathroom area. There was no p trap so the sewer smell was non-stop. We called Simpson out for a quote and they provided an extremely fair price for two days of work to replace all the cast iron with ABS. They managed to fit a p trap underneath in the tight space. They had to cut a concrete slab, and managed to replace the toilet flange without removing any bathroom flooring. A project that should have probably been a full remodel ended up being only a plumbing fix. The lead, Aaron, was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and considerate. I felt like Simpson did everything possible to make the project smooth and reduce the life disruption. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
