I called the office and received no BS answers on the performance of my *tankless* under the sink RO system, its cost, maintenance expectations, and just generally what to expect including how the future replacement filters will be dropped off, for a unit that I would like to use for years and years. The actual installation was done with a technician that's courteous and professional, accommodating my back and forth on whether to use the new faucet; and explaining that the new faucet is what receives the warranty (the guy isn't trying to do less work and get out of here ASAP). Great experience from beginning to end. The water here in Willow Glen neighborhood is horrendously hard. Severe deposits on everything, don't even think of hosing off your car and letting it air dry. I purchased the Elite water softener along InterFlo QuadPro SST Tankless reverse osmosis system. Do keep in mind that price usually includes basic install and can be subjected to additional costs depending on the framework (bypasses, additional lines, air gaps, etc.). I needed a couple of bypasses and an airgap installed. I had spoken to quite a few companies (water treatment and plumbing) that also charged additional for these services. Even then, Soft Patagonia prices are more reasonable. Installation: Nelson was the technician who performed the installation of both systems. He showed up on time and got straight to business. Through the process, we encountered one minor issue regarding faucet selection. I was given the option to pick the color of the fixture. We have a black countertop, so my wife wanted a black faucet. However, I didn't know that the tankless RO system only has one default faucet that is brushed nickel. The black faucet that Nelson installed was provided but it wasn't the design that came with the kit as displayed. So we had to ask Nelson to swap out the faucets. It costed him more time but he completed the task. Aside from this, Nelson did a fantastic job. He was respectful of our property, patched up drilled holes and cleaned up after himself. I also interrupted him on multiple occasions to gain insight into the details of his work and he did not hesitate to answer my questions and concerns. I greatly appreciate the information. 12 month review: Eduardo was very informative and educated me on my options before install. I have a tandem garage, and they were able to install it very close to the wall. Very clean and professional looking instal. No leaks one yr later. My water heater should last longer now as well not being subjected to hard water build-up. I flushed it few months ago, and the flush hardly had any deposits (my water heater had already been exposed to hard water for 1+ yr prior to install) I already forgot what south San Jose hard water looks like in my home - it's been working fine ever since. Dishes and shower are water spot free also. Might take some getting used to the slimy feel in the shower, and soaps lather much easily now. Your soaps last longer too. My skin and hair are much happier. There's only two of us using water here, so the initial salt they provided has lasted us to this point, with approx 1 foot of salt left! I only refilled for the first time with a 50lb bag to the brine tank today (half filled now). It's nice to know Eduardo is only one text message away, and remains responsive every few months when I ask questions. Great with customers. read more
