I must say that there is a new best burger in Flint. When I was told that I needed to try this because it was better than the burger at the Torch I knew I needed to make a stop. The servers were very attentive, lots of drink options, and the menu had a lot of choices. My boyfriend chose to get the olive burger and I ordered sliders since you can get any of the regular burgers as slider size. I ordered the traditional slider and also the southwest slider. The special sauce on the traditional burger was amazing and the slider was cooked and prepared to perfection. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger but did not think that it was the best olive burger he has had. I did order the side salad with lemon garlic vinaigrette. The salad was good but I didn't care for the dressing. It was very tart. My boyfriend ordered the truffle fries which were crispy and delicious. I love dive bars, especially ones that have great food. This should definitely be on your list for places to stop in Flint! read more

This is easily the best place to drop by for a drink. There are very few places in Flint who can properly make a Side Car, let alone have ever heard of it. The food is short and sweet. The menu gives you a little bit if everything to satisfy just about anybody. Best bar food easily. The scenery is nice, Tuesday night's is Jazz nights, Wednesday Trivia night. This was the first time my wife and I had eaten here. Wanted a nice place for a dinner date and drinks and nice it was! The beers were cold, mixed drinks tasted on point and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the fried pickles for starters, I had the delicious hand breaded chicken strips and my wife had the huge southwest burger. I'm torn. I've been going to Soggy Bottom with my trivia group almost every Wednesday for the last six months. The staff is wonderful, the food is good, and it's always been a wonderful time. Last night, however, I arrived before the rest of my group and sat down at a table to wait for them. Shortly after I'd received my order Ken, the owner, sat down next to me uninvited. He told me that I was going to have to move because he had just turned away a group that had wanted my table and that I was costing him money. I apologized for his inconvenience, and told him that my group and I were regular, loyal customers, and that they would be there within 5 minutes. I explained that if he hadn't turned away the previous group, he'd be turning my group away almost immediately after. He unexpectedly erupted in anger and told me that I didn't understand the point he was trying to make. I was told that I was being condescending, that I needed to pay my bill and that I wasn't welcome back. The rest of my group arrived as I cashed out; at least they got the table. While I'm apparently not allowed at Soggy Bottom anymore, it's a wonderful place to be as long as you aren't forced into a confrontation with an openly hostile Ken. read more

One of my favorite places to grab a drink or seven. They have a great beer selection. Allegedly the restaurant next door serves food to the bar but I've seen no evidence of this. Occasionally it can take a while to get served a drink, but I usually sit at the bar which eliminates that problem. I dig the atmosphere of the place and stop here at least a couple times per week. I can't comment on the actual bar, but the food was great and reasonably priced. I would probably actually give it 4.5 stars if I could. My husband got the southwest burger with the black bean patty. He enjoyed it, but said he would get ground beef next time. I got the black bean nachos which were delicious, but I was a little disappointed that the black beans appeared to be a black bean burger crumbled up. The fries were delicious. We also got the jalapeño popper egg rolls. They were very good, although a little too heavy on the cream cheese to jalapeño ratio for me. All in all very good and we wi be back. read more

Love coming here with friends after art walk every month. Sadly the bartenders only know a handful of drinks and can't be bothered to learn new ones properly. Anyone can mix a drink but a professional knows how to present one or at least make a show of it. That aside it's a very friendly space of you can ever find parking, I generally end up walking from a couple blocks away so it's not my problem but it's why I don't come more often. read more
