We stopped by The Soggy Dollar Bar during a recent cruise through the BVIs. It was better than imagined!!! Our whole yacht had fun! Super cool place/vibe, great and friendly staff, good drinks at decent prices, great beach... fun for young and old. We all had a blast! Highly recommend stopping by the Soggy Dollar anytime!

Best painkillers ever and what a bargain! Craveworthy food. Amazing coffee at Jolly Rodgers. Perfection.

Bartenders were great -- cheerful, fun, and made great drinks! Get the Painkiller drink -- sold all over St John, but created here! The Cherry Therapy was also yummy! It is similar to the Painkiller, but with a taste of dark cherry. Both were $8 -- a great deal these days! You place both food and drink orders at the bar. You will receive drinks right away, but you will receive a number for the food that you will display at your table for delivery when ready. We enjoyed the salmon burger, veggie burger, and lump crab cake BLT. (Maybe skip the lobster po bo -- those that tasted it were not impressed.) Sandwiches came with yummy fries sprinkled with a little spicy seasoning. The ambiance could not be better -- on pristine white sand, with tables and chairs under umbrellas very close to the water, with clean bathrooms. If you are on the hunt for a relaxed tropical beach vibe in Jost Van Dyke BVI, look no further.

This place is a staple go-to place in Jost. Food is excellent. You have to get at least one painkiller while you are there!! Great gift/souvenir shop! Beach BBQ is worth the price! Location is amazing and the views are beautiful. Definitely make this a stop while in the BVI and Jost!!

Have to tell you the food is outstanding the service was amazing and when you talk about looking at the water and having your ability to enjoy yourself, this is it. This is the ultimate experience for those that want to get away and have a different experience. The water is amazing so like I said, this is a very outstanding place to go beautiful it looks beautiful.

Fun place to have an adult beverage while visiting the Virgin Islands. It's called the Soggy Dollar Bar because the only access to the island is by boat... and because there are no docks available to tie the boats up, you need to climb out of your boat and swim to shore! Consequently, the dollars in your wallet get wet! (I suggest that you put your wallet or money in a plastic ziplock bag before you venture off the boat.). When you arrive at the Soggy Dollar Bar, try the special drink of the house: a Painkiller. Delicious, but deceptively strong, so watch how many you drink, because you will have to swim back to your boat! The bar is outdoors with ready access to the beach. Nice place to have a drink and relax. While you are there, check out their T-shirt and souvenir shop. There are lots of neat things to buy.

As a bar, it's quick service. Only ordered the Pain Killers so I have no experience on the other things they could serve. This place is certainly the destination place to go for drinks and beach hanging out. They have a T-shirt/souvenir place has a good stock of their latest digs. This is a fun, must go to place to say you have been to Jost Van Dyke.

We trekked over the hill from the other bay just to get our Painkiller fix, at the place where it all started. Very impressed that the PK's were half of what we had been paying at other establishments. in the BVI. Had a few apps too. Lots of happy happy boaters drinking enjoying the sand. Definitely worth a visit, at least to say you've been there!

This was our third time back to the Soggy Dollar, and the first time in seven years. Our family has always loved the vibe there, and this time, just about everyone was old enough to enjoy their classic cocktails, including their amazing Painkillers. We got there via a private charter service that provides access to the BVI's from St. Thomas. The experience of jumping off the back of the boat and swimming to the beach is definitely one of the best parts of the experience. We also had a few in our party that preferred to dock at the Great Harbour after checking in with customs and taking a taxi over to Soggy Dollar. We didn't do any snorkeling here, as White Bay is a sandy area without as much aquatic life as other snorkeling spots like the Indians, the Caves, or the Baths. But it's a great spot to lounge around on the beach or in the water. The drinks are amazing, service was very nice, and their gift shop is one of the best around. They had a nice lunch menu, but we were just there for drinks and the atmosphere. If you plan to swim up to the bar, bringing a waterproof bag (for your wallets, phones, etc.) is always a good idea! We loved every minute of it. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

The White Bay beach did not disappoint (gorgeous white sand and turquoise water). We came for the day by ferry / taxi. All of the staff at Soggy Dollar Bar & Restauranr were super friendly, and the food was delicious (breakfast and lunch). The beach chairs were no cost (1st come / 1st serve for those eating or drinking at Soggy Dollar). Cannot wait to be back for a longer stay.

The bar's eponymous name references all your money getting wet on the swim to shore. Casual laid back BVI VIBE. Home of the painkiller. Bright blue water, white sand beach- what's not to love??

Best beach and water clarity in BVI after seven days of island hopping. A treasure, must "sea", pun intended.

It's Soggy! I mean, it is the number one bar in the entire Caribbean. Lovely service and the party mood starts early and ends late.

We came in for dinner and had the whole snapper. It was delicious. It does have a lot of bones to pick out, which our server warned us about, but worth it for me. And we brought home a Caesar salad with chicken back for our daughter, who loved it. It was a Thursday night, and Myett's had a really great steel drum band musician who also sang, and had a beautiful voice. kind of modern classic songs. . Very cool. Great location and view. We were taken out on the shuttle and told we'd need to swim the final 10 yards or so. As someone who didn't exactly grow up in the water, that was easier said than done. I even had a floatie for assistance, but it didn't inspire much confidence. It was the longest two minutes of my life. To make matters even more exciting, the water was pretty choppy that day. To be clear, this is completely a "me" problem and not a reflection of the establishment at all. I just hope that one day there's an easier option for land-loving odd ducks like myself to enjoy the experience without convincing ourselves we're about to become part of a maritime rescue operation. Once we made it, though, it was absolutely worth it. We ordered a couple of margaritas that were fresh, strong, and delicious. I had the Spiced Tuna Taco and my wife ordered the Shrimp Taco. We absolutely inhaled them. I would've happily ordered several more rounds if I hadn't been mentally preparing for the swim back to the shuttle. The vibe was fun, energetic, and laid-back. Being from St. Louis, it was a happy coincidence that they were playing Nelly and Chingy all afternoon, which made me feel oddly at home. All in all, this was a stellar experience, and I would absolutely go back. I may just want to log a few more hours of swimming practice first.
