We walked into a festive and lively restaurant and bar that was packed. I'm happy we had a reservation. Our server was especially helpful with the menu and substitutions if allowed. I had the NYE special with salad, surf and turf, crème brûlée and a champagne split. I enjoyed the entire meal and would recommend to anyone in the area.

It was pretty good overall but the service was awful. We got sat quick enough, orders drinks then Joey disappeared. I saw the bartender look twice at our drinks sitting there so finally went and got them myself. White pie was tasty especially if you like strong garlic. Son found the Amish Roast Chicken to be moist and well seasoned. Side of fries are over priced at $7. Mac & Cheese was good. The short rib dish looked and tasted like a piece of chuck roast. It was relaxing with a good view.

The Factory South Shore is the place for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite and above member to get breakfast. They got to know me and my routine the 2 days I was there. I eat my breakfast downstairs and I get one breakfast as takeout to take up to my wife in the hotel room. They waitstaff was so good at it that they reserved my spot while I delivered breakfast to my wife every morning without me needing to explain my routine a second time. Their breakfast was fantastic! It was not the normal hotel breakfast that I've had the past couple weeks. I had a French toast and a fried bologna benedict the days I was there. The French toast was very good. It came with cooked to order eggs and sausage. The fried bologna benedict from what I was told is a Pittsburgh favorite. It was okay. I'm not from Pittsburgh, and may never see a fried bolonga benedict again. The South Shore is the place for breakfast when staying at the Sheraton. It's a good place.

I dined at this hotel restaurant because I was staying overnight at the hotel. I'm local to the greater Pittsburgh area and it was not on my list to try. But the convenient location inside the six-story warm indoor atrium was too inviting not to switch our reservation from another restaurant. Our table was situated in the bar area with warm dim lighting which I preferred over the brightly-lit tables by the windows with the views of the city skyline across the river. There were two wedding parties in rooms off the atrium. As it was New Year's Eve, they had a special NYE prix fixe dinner that was quite a deal. And the jumbo shrimp were truly jumbo shrimp. The service was excellent. Our server, Stephanie was welcoming and managed just the right mix of checking on our table. The kitchen while disappointedly not offering any substitutions, did so to be able to bring out our meals in the right amount of time. While my meal was tasty, I likely won't be making a repeat visit for it. It was a solid meal for a hotel restaurant. Note: there is no free parking in Station Square.

For what is basically a hotel restaurant, this place delivered. I mean, it is not a separate space from the rest of the Sheraton and would basically be the bar area in not for the tables that were set up in the area. There is a partition that separates it from the rest of the lobby. And this quite possible spoils the view of downtown from the atrium that is the lobby. Service at first was a miss. We were here for a quick dinner and approached a host stand that was not manned. The lobby front desk had to go find the staff manning the host stand. Once they found them we were guided to a table. The menu isn't long so looking over it didn't take too long. I asked for a sweet tea to drink, but they only had unsweetened tea so I went with water instead. We had to ask what the soup of the day was and wait until they were able to come back with the answer. I ended up going with The Factory Cheeseburger. Which I suppose is the signature sandwich for this place. It is basically a run of the mill cheeseburger. The description states it is topped with white cheddar and garlic aioli. However, what I got was regular cheddar and mayo. You also get the usual toppings, lettuce and tomato. Come with a side of fries and slaw. The slaw was your run of the mill slaw that you find just about anywhere. The fries, being in Pittsburgh, at least appeared to be hand cut and fresh. Overall, not a disappointing meal, but not exactly how it is described. What is amazing about this place, is the view you have while dining.

4.5 stars. The Factory restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Station Square Hotel. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner for dining in, takeout, and room service. Please see my photos for some menus and foods. In the past year, my husband and I have eaten three meals here--two breakfasts and one dinner. We usually have to wait several minutes for the seating hostesses to notice us and seat us, but our waitresses are always timely and friendly. For our two breakfasts, we ate large buttermilk pancakes with little cups of butter, jelly, syrup, and walnuts; an all-you-can-eat buffet with dozens of available foods (e.g., eggs, toast, potatoes, danishes, and cereals); eggs benedict with bacon and potatoes; a waffle with toppings and bacon; and orange juices. For our dinner, we ate a hamburger, cheeseburger, root vegetables, and fries. We enjoyed the flavors of all of these foods. We and other customers wear casual clothes.

Delicious food! Salmon is my favorite dish. Pretty good service and view. Will be back again.

Came for a double date on a Saturday night. We made reservations and got a great table by the window with a great view of Pittsburgh. The food was pretty good, and reasonably priced. I wasn't a big fan of the table which had no legroom in the middle for those of us who are tall.

We came here on a weekend for dinner, and it wasn't super busy. We did make a reservation and they saved us a table by the windows with a great view! The restaurant is inside the Sheraton. It is such a cool space architecturally! The space and the view were mainly what drew us here. I had the soup of the day, which was French onion. It was very tasty. I would get it again. I also tried the hot Italian grinder. It had a bunch of ingredients, and it was huge. It was actually a little hard to bite into. Our server was courteous, but the food did take a while to come. Overall we had a great time here and would come back to try their brunch.

The food was very good and I enjoyed the view. The service was very good as well. The only Downside were the obnoxious out of town group at the bar in town for the Steelers game.

Yum yum yum. I enjoyed the Factory, mainly the ambience of hotel balconies overlooking the restaurant in a repurposed factory / warehouse building with a nice view of the Monongahela River. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu, and the food was terrific. The salad was fresh and filling (bigger than expected) and the salmon was flavorful too. The espresso martini was nice (bit strong but they're better thar way!) I would definitely return to the Factory to try some other dishes.

We decided a last minute place and they had a lot of reservations available. It is located inside the Marriott down Station Square. Parking is paid, and a good walking distance. They had a one pager menu that is on the $$$. Sharable dishes are around $14-$17. Main Entrees are around $17-40. And all sides are $7. I would recommend happy hour to save some money on drinks (house wine $5 or drafts $4) and some shareables are $7. They have window seats, bar seating, and top indoor balcony seating. I would recommend trying this place out once but I don't see myself coming back.

Crab cakes, French fries and celery root slaw.

I had the crab cakes. They were so good. Barely any filler and lumps of crab. Better crab cakes than I've had in Maryland. Matt was our server and he was excellent. The restaurant is located in The Sheraton in Station Square, very classy atmosphere. I definitely will return!

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.
