So I used to live across the street when it was Atlantic Social and after a very bad experience on NYEve I never went back. I have tried SoHo multiple times and the food is good. This trip I am writing about for the bartender (if I could only remember her name :). I went specifically for this Chicken Pesto sandwich they had but it was removed on the new menu. FYI - Online is the old menu you better change it :):) She quickly got me menu's and a water. Kept my water filled throughout. I ordered the 3 Waygu meatball...were good, came close to being excellent only because they were a tad warm but very good and sauce was excellent. I order another chicken sandwich and she offered to get me a side of sauce and pesto to make it like the old sandwich. Unfortunately to my dismay they had no pesto. Not sure how a Italian place does not have pesto, sandwich was excellent, fries were excellent. Alot of TVs, big bar, glad to see its hanging in. Here is the thing, you want NY Pizza, go to New York and be sure to go to a "hole in the wall" run by Italian New Yorkers. Being a New Yorker born and raised I know better than to expect anything outside of New York or north eastern New Jersey to taste authentic. As for SoHo Slice I thought the pizza was good, the arugula salad was tasty, a tad over dressed but tasty, as was the pizza. The service was also good. Not sure I have to go back given there are other pizzerias in the area that are just as good. I also agree with someone who wrote about not being able to get a slice yet the word slice is in the name. I really do wish pizza restaurants would stop saying NY pizza. Try drumming up business some other way other than you have NY pizza. It's artisanal at best. read more

This review is in direct contrast with the popularity of this restaurant. It is a new attraction here at the beach. It is moderately priced and basically an enhanced pizzeria with a modern decor flare. We ordered a minestrone soup and fried zucchini as a starter. The soup was fair tasting but nothing that hinted as homemade. Fried zucchini was deeply fried and dusted with Parmesan cheese, which was unexpected. Service was good and waiters were attentive. Ordered a chicken parm on homemade bread and was able to substitute salad for fries. Sadly, their bread was not a good match for a classic Italian handheld. I was very disappointed in the small portion double breaded chicken cutlet that was overly fried (see photos) . The Mediterranean pita was sparsely filled however, had good taste. All in all this was a one and done experience for us. The place draws a large crowd for a week day evening, so they must be doing something right... maybe it's their pizza which we didn't taste. There are too many Italian restaurants in the area that serve premium Italian food for SoHo pizza to outshine. read more

We had lunch at Soho Slice and it was absolutely delicious. It is truly hard to find good pizza in Delaware and this restaurant knocks it out of the park. We checked in the staff and we were seated right away. The choices were truly delightfully described on the menu and since it was our first visit Liz, our server was helpful in providing the perfect salad and pizza. Oh my gosh we were not disappointed and Liz was so attentive and friendly. We will definately return to Soho over and over again! Of course we will ask for Liz, we cannot go wrong with her suggestions which were on point. I must say that the pricing is more than fair considering the size of portions and the preparation by the chef was great. read more

Thought we would give this place a try as we do with all new restaurants. (2nd time) since they've been open. Being a server myself, I have to say I was not impressed. Walked in, was seated right away, but sat for 10 minutes before we were waited on. Server took our drink order, had someone else deliver them almost 15 minutes later! I ordered Pizza, NOT NY style at all! Hardly any flavor. My husband ordered meatball sub, which was better but still lacked flavor! Server only and to table once to check on us and offer refills! I hope for their sake things improve. While the bartenders are great (and from the old Atlantic Social), there are so many things that need to be improved. The food came out quickly, but things were lukewarm at best. The pizza had good flavor, but it quickly went cold. The meatball sandwich was on a huge roll that make it difficult to eat as a "handheld," and the french fries were cold, bland, and doughy. We were still talking with friends, but decided not to have another drink, and a bar man proceeded to take our glasses away. We got the impression they wanted us to leave! The pizza had good flavor (and I'm sure it will be great reheated for lunch today), but as someone else mentioned, NY style pizza traditionally has shredded cheese, not mozzarella rounds. Drink prices were $$$ ($10 for a glass of pinot grigio), and there currently is no Happy Hour. The new decor is very dark - a far cry from the beach inspired look that was Atlantic Social. Maybe it's just new growing pains. Let's hope that's the case. read more

Pizza was great they have real sausage slices on it. Dough was good can be a little smaller crust . But had an awesome cook on it. Fried zucchini was amazing not greasy fried perfectly. Asked for a crown sour was delicious. Service was very friendly even though they were packed. We had an excellent experience at SoHo pizza slice Friday night! Great service, delicious Hot Italian pizza and the limoncello martini was so good! One of the owners, Zach, even checked on us several times. We had a few servers check on us. Did not have to wait long for service or food. This place is definitely worth checking out. I ordered a pizza to pick up last month, this restaurant uses Ai for orders. When I got home, the pizza didn't have any cheese. I let it go because I just wasn't in the mood for an argument. Today, I ordered a pizza and Ai again took my order, this time it was a very small pizza for fourteen dollars, I ordered a large pizza. When I called to complain,... after great difficulty, I was able to reach the manager zach, incredibly abusive and rude and would not listen. He hung up on me before I can say this is why I will never eat there again. Judging by all the empty seats in the restaurant, the few times that I have walked in,I would think losing a customer would be a bad thing. also just a small note, on the receipt, it has how much they would like to be tipped, i only talked to a machine.Why would I tip? read more

Terrible service. Took over 5 minutes to be seated because no host and many open tables. Then it took our waitress about 10 minutes to greet us and being waters. The water tasted awful. Food was okay but nothing great. Sisters never checked in on us after the food arrived so everyone had to eat dinner with no beverage refills. Very loud with the music playing. Stopped for lunch today. Had a great experience. The New York oven fired pizza was excellent. Super thin crust done to perfection. Cornmeal on the bottom of the crust is one of my favorites. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We sat at the bar. A big plus in my book is comfy bar stools, padded and a foot rail. Will definitely go back and try their other dishes. read more

Ambience was ok though it looked as though they opened with remodeling work still needing to be completed. Service was friendly but slow and inattentive. It's not a good idea to open a restaurant if you don't have enough help. Food: Pizza is awful and not something you'd ever look for in NYC. We had the Roasted Vegetable (with roasted pepper "sauce"). There was no sauce and little if any flavor of peppers. The crust was chewy and uninteresting. There was an orange product on top that when melted, resembled and tasted like something from a jar or can. The entire concoction was bland. There are frozen pizzas that are much better. There is something wrong with the beer taps. Two different beers were ordered. They tasted the same and like there was ash in the glass. I can get on board with giving a break to a new place. There's usually going to be a few kinks. Still, it's my money that paid for this meal. Quite the disappointment. I purchased I also requested extra aïoli sauce. The person that took my order did not tell me it was going to be three dollars extra. The food wasn't even the greatest and you hardly got any for how much money you I got the penne vodka, and I got the rigatoni. And I got the cheesesteak.
