They had a great selection and we got a type of salmon I'd never heard of. It came out great. It's a small place but they have a good amount of products. Throughout the week there hasn't been a time we were dissatisfied with the selection. And we are all making different stuff. We pre-ordered an Easter (2026) Ham Meal with sides and a dessert. Our first surprise was that we didn't pay in advance. We set up our delivery day as Friday @ 11am. Pick up went off without a hitch it was all packed in an insulated travel bag that can be reused. We received a 3.8 lb boneless sliced Carando brown sugar ham, cheddar cheese scalloped potatoes, honey sage roasted carrots, 6 dinner rolls, and an 18 oz strawberry bar cake. All I had to do was heat it up in the oven. Everything was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend ordering a meal from the Fresh Market for your next holiday! read more

Really upscale, fresh, organic foods. Shop carefully the prices are way higher than your average grocery store. So is the quality of the items offered. Checkout was pleasant and quick. Reminded me of Trader Joe's, in someways about the same size but better diversity. Baked items looked great we got a whole wheat loaf that was super flavorful. read more

CHICKEN SALAD WAS NOT EDIBLE.. I bought chicken salad around 8/21/2025. I made a sandwich only to find out the salad had hard pieces of chicken that I could not even eat. I had another family member try the salad and the chicken was too hard for them to chew. I am just wondering if you had any other complaints? Where do I start.First the customer service in this store is awful.The employees are unfriendly and go out of their way to avoid helping you.The meat and seafood counter has a weird set up which creates a free for all.Why not use a number system.The deli counter is a mess.They are typically out of a lot of product and are very slow to provide service.The product selection is awful.I wish Whole Foods would come into Rehoboth.The would put Fresh Market out of business. read more

The first time we bought pies in this store was Thanksgiving. Bought Apple, Pumpkin. The Apple pie is a joke, not enough apples in it, not tasty and the crust is dry. Then we gave it another try this New Year's Eve. Lemon Meringue Pie. The meringue is ok, the lemon is so pale, and worst , the crust has no color , no taste. Waste of money. If these are store baked, management should have checked the quality of Pies theyre baking. Or not buy from this seller anymore. read more

A gave a 4 star rather than 5 because the prices are relatively steep and the selection isn't immense. Having said that, if you want groceries which are fresh with a plethora of organic as well as vegan selections, and don't need to buy for a family of 8 for a week, this is your place. I only needed milk ( generally drink almond milk) and figured that Wawa would not have it, thus stopped into Fresh Market. It was crowded, but so is every place else in Rehoboth, and Biden (who has a mansion here) was fortunately out of the country for New Year's weekend, otherwise traffic would have been more atrocious. I ended up getting oat milk (for a change) as well as $50 worth of other food stuffs, all healthy and all fresh. They have a loyalty club which is your phone number, but for some reason my number didn't work. The staff have invariably been friendly every time I've been here which is at least a dozen. The store is clean and there is ample parking despite the army of cars and people in a delightful beach destination. Staff working the aisles are also helpful. Bottom line: great place if you want to pick up a few high quality and fresh groceries. If you have lots of money, you'll enjoy doing all of your shopping here all of the time. I'll be back. Fantastic! I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner package for my family and was thrilled with the quality - everything was delicious. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and buttery. The stuffing tasted homemade, the cranberry sauce had chunks of fruit, and the Turkey breast was cooked perfectly. I added their Butternut Squash Soup that has chunks of apple - it is delicious. Last year we ordered Big Fish and was very disappointed - wish I could give Fresh Market 6 stars! read more

Sunday, Sept 21st. 1:15 in the afternoon. I only came in for a couple of pork chops for the grill. Two, yes two, check out lanes were open. Nine ahead of me. Counted 11 in the other line. Called the store while waiting. 40 rings. No answer. I could hear my phone ringing on the PA system. Nobody bothered to answer. Incredible failure. Pork chops very good. My last few trips here were awful. 3 rd time I went and won't go back. All nuts are stale Chicken salad was awful with choke able size celery and pieces of chicken tendons or bone not sure. The deli looks less than attractive and it always looks stale. I saw the same issues with the one in VA and it closed. There's no expiration on these nuts and they are almost always STALE. read more

Fresh market is a very well equipped place to buy things that you can't find in regular grocery stores. Was there on Sunday and had to get lunch meat and a few cold salads. There was only one person working and she was overwhelmed with demanding customers. I felt guilty asking her to cut me lunch meat but she said it was her job. She asked for help and was ignored. I do not blame this sweet woman I blame the owners. At the high prices they charge they need to have enough staff to cover all areas. The other employees mentioned to me this is an on going problem. Really bad. I don't know where to start, but here's my best try. Cashiers complaining about management openly in front of customers. Employees who direct shoppers to the wrong aisle after being asked where a certain product is. Instead of saying "right this way!", and showing me the tortillas, just stand there and say "that isn't my department, I think aisle three". Nice customer service. We love the Fresh Market! I normally enjoy my trips there. Today, not so much. It's 3 days before Christmas. How can you be crabby?? Well, ask that of the tall, old fart with glasses in the prepared deli counter! The gentleman before me points to the chicken salad and requests a pound. He bites off his head instructing him to go around the counter for prepackaged goods! Why is it in the fresh counter then? My turn, I stupidly asked for 1/4 lb of a salad. Realizing it wasn't very much I tried to question it but too late, sticker on, done, my mistake, done! That's a 1/4 lb., that's what you asked for, I'm told, rather gruffly! Well.... Merry Christmas to you too!! So no one's noticed the way this guy speaks to customers before? Some people really should not deal with the public. The meat department is far better than the typical fare in the other local grocery stores. The selection of canned goods also offers brands not otherwise available locally. The bakery when fully stocked is also quite nice. Checkout cashiers are courteous and efficient. Be careful of pre packaged vegetables and breads. I'm on a mission. Some try to find the perfect cupcake (we appreciate your scholarship) I am in search of the BEST Grocery Store Sushi.... at the beach. I found it back home in Columbia, Md - it's Wegman's. THE BEST. But the beach has been a harder nut to crack. Or sushi to roll. This place was also close, but not 5 star. G & E & Giant is OK, Harris Teeter in Selbyville is my next stop. But this week i had to try The Fresh Market. The Fresh Market is a super cute, boutique grocery store next to the Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Rehoboth beach. It has a nice selection of upscale veggies and gourmet items. But be warned, this place is spendy. Even the sushi made fresh every day is more than Wegman's. The product was fresh, but the rice didn't have enough vinegar. Close, so close! My search goes on. I also couldn't find the other thing I was looking for, Fat Free Half & Half. Maybe because it was a Monday? I did get some lovely Strawberries, Blackberries, and Raspberries. We were driving down the coastal highway, looking for a place to buy fresh fish and my niece pointed out The Fresh Market. Initially we turned our noses up on this little market place, thinking we would be better off at a little fish shack. My niece prevailed and we stopped in The Fresh Market. Oh. My. God! I love this store! It is like a small Whole Foods but better! The fruit and vegetables were amazing. The Dover Sole was delicious and not overpriced. The coffee was delicious - especially the cafe l'orange. If you want snacks, this is your place! Everything from bourbon pecans, to Jordan almonds, to nut clusters. We didn't get to sample the prepared food but they looked delicious. The store is very clean and well organized. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Next time we are in MD/DE we will be shopping at The Fresh Market! read more

Ordered a $49.00 beef lasagna and large salad for pick up on New Years Day. Placed the order on December 17 and received email confirmation. We went to pick up at 11 am as confirmed in email. They handed us a $49.00 vegetable lasagna. We asked where was our beef lasagna. Told did not have any, too busy day before. Our guests do not eat vegetable lasagna. Now we have nothing but a salad to serve them. Yes, I did call the store everyday for 4 days prior to pick up to confirm order would be ready. No one ever answers the phone, no one! It just rings and rings no matter what extension you select. Shopped many times in Media, Pa store, never had a poor experience. Not sure how this store stays in business other than no competition. read more

Horrible, rude customer service by Mikey at the deli counter. I wanted to order fresh cut deli and he told me I was on the wrong end of the counter and told me to just get the precut deli in bags , none of what I wanted. He yelled at me that they were short- staffed. He finally agreed to cut some deli, and complained when I asked for an additional meat to be cut, ridiculous! He then complained about me to the next customer! That customer was also told to pick the precut deli. She responded, "You must not feel like cutting any deli today." Mikey's behavior was inexcusable for a high-end, high proced, supermarket! read more

This is probably the weakest fresh market I've ever been to. I love fresh market but I was so disappointed in the store. We drove all the way up from Ocean City. We were thrilled about the organic products since other stores around don't carry that but they were out of a lot and it was hard to get someone's attention to ask if they had any more. The place was pretty picked over I guess I should know next time not to come after a holiday. Some of my go to items the only fresh market has like peanut butter power chews, were a little stale. This is still very nice market especially for specialty products which is why you come here. I might give it another shot next time and hope that things have improved. read more

When we're in Rehoboth, it's hard to find the same quality and variety of organic foods as are abundantly available in the DC area. (Giant Foods in Rehoboth is one of the best around for those of us who are forced to be gluten-free and dairy-free. Giant is also where we go for paper goods like paper towels and TP. Good earth in Dewey is another good place for organic products.) For the highest quality in the Rehoboth area, The Fresh Market is the best. They have an interesting selection of fresh organics, not immense but not bad for this area. And the quality of their conventional and organic produce is most consistently excellent. The meat cases, with attendants, are extensive and high quality. They carry some organic chicken and some grassfed beef, but most of their cases are filled with good quality, conventional meats. A little pricey, but when something is on sale, that price is excellent. (On a low note for those of us who stick with organic meats, they have been cutting back on some of these.) They have the best store-sushi in the area and can stand up to most other grocery stores anywhere. It is also arguably comparable to, or even better than, some of the local restaurant sushi. In general, the products are great quality, the selection is pretty good for the size of the store and the prices are what you'd expect in this type of store. I do personally wish they would offer a larger variety of fresh and shelf organics throughout. And more dairy free selections. But I am spoiled by the abundant choices at home and that doesn't take away from the comparative excellence of the choices you can find here. This is our grocer of choice in the Rehoboth / Lewes area. read more

Every single one of my worst market experiences have been here. Congrats! I come here weekly because it's the only source of organic food I can get in this whole town, but I have never managed to get anything but rude attitudes and dirty looks from the cashiers. Whatever about that, but can you please not shove every single fruit and vegetable in my bag underneath far heavier stuff? Come on! Use your common sense! In my 80 plus trips here since I moved to Lewes, I have never had a cashier at this location be able to put groceries in a bag without messing up all of my bruise-able items.
