I initially came in for a root canal with Dr. Karishma Shah, and from the moment I sat down, the experience felt unprofessional. Before even introducing herself, Dr. Shah immediately began commenting on the size and length of my teeth. The assistant joined in as well. What should have been a simple introduction turned into a discussion about my appearance and dental anatomy, which made me uncomfortable from the start. The procedure lasted approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. During that time, Dr. Shah repeatedly commented on how long my tooth and root canals were, sighed heavily, huffed and puffed, and appeared visibly frustrated throughout the procedure. As a patient lying in a vulnerable position with my mouth numb and open, it was upsetting to repeatedly hear complaints about something I cannot control. Dr. Shah also made negative comments about another dentist's work after asking who had started the procedure and placed the temporary filling. She remarked, "No wonder, I can tell," followed by comments about it looking like his work, while laughing with the assistant. Hearing providers criticize colleagues in front of a patient is highly unprofessional. The conversations throughout the procedure were equally concerning. Dr. Shah and the assistant discussed another patient who had missed an appointment, questioned whether that patient was really in pain if they failed to show up, and complained about how schedule changes affected Dr. Shah's day. None of this had anything to do with my care and should not have been discussed in front of a patient. Because of concerns about the length of my canals, approximately nine additional X-rays were taken throughout the procedure. Dr. Shah repeatedly left the room between these X-rays, which significantly extended the appointment and raised concerns for me about maintaining a sterile environment during treatment. The worst part occurred when Dr. Shah dropped a heavy dental instrument onto my head while I was in the chair. I suffer from migraines, and the impact immediately triggered one. Despite this happening, there was still approximately 25 minutes of work left to complete. I came into the office for a root canal and left with a migraine that lasted four straight days. Unfortunately, my experience did not improve when it came time for the crown placement with Dr. Chan and Briana. The crown felt too small from the beginning. Briana did not introduce herself until I specifically asked for her name. During the fitting process, there were difficulties placing the crown correctly. At one point, the crown became stuck and could not be removed immediately, requiring several minutes of adjustments before Dr. Chan and Briana were able to remove and reposition it. Even after the crown was placed, it did not feel right. The crown protruded enough to rub against the inside of my cheek and caused ongoing discomfort. As a result, I had to return for a third visit to have the issue addressed. Given the amount I was charged for treatment, I expected a properly fitted crown and a smoother experience overall. Instead, I was left dealing with discomfort, additional appointments, and frustration that could have been avoided had the crown fit correctly from the start. EDIT: I just checked my insurance statement I am livid! I spotted 3 Extra charges !!! and the amount to be charged the CORRECT amount to be charged has ballooned!! I will be making a claim against this! DO NOT COME HERE!!! ABORT MISSION!

When I told him he is not honoring his advertised deal, he said we are not good match, he will not even give me a quote. He asked money for the Xray that he said that was free when I first talk to him. He refused to send the Xray over the email, asked me to come next week to pick it up. He is unexperienced, young person with no manners. Stay away from his office.

My husband was mad at Dr. Chang and I was mad at my husband. Fun day. I called the front desk lady and the insurance provider, and each stuck to their guns. I wanted to cry. Well, I think I did cry, but that's neither here nor there. As a last ditch effort, I wrote a letter to Dr. Chang and included our credit card information. I reminded him that he needs to look out for his patients and that not all of them (like, ahem, my husband) are going to check with their provider. Well, I am happy to report that today I received a phone call from Dr. Chang himself. This is the cleanest, cutest, kindest office you will ever find! I really trust doctor Tang, and will come back for a cleaning and whitening service soon. I live almost two hours away, but it is worth the drive! The thing that makes me trust this doctor is that she does not try to make money off of you, but offers you just the services you need, so I can relax and actually take what she says seriously. Even if she is not listed as a cosmetic dentist, she really is one, because she pays attention to the smallest details that other dentists would be bothered about. I feel like she is on my side, like she is treating her family, whereas I am a complete stranger. I am really-realy sensitive to everything, but feel good and safe getting treated by her, so I thought I would leave a review that she deserves! :) read more

After reading all the positive reviews, I said to myself this should be a pretty good office. However, I ended up being very upset with the dentist and this office. Whatever information they told us was not true and was very deceiving. I did not find out the truth until I talked to my previous dentist after I got the treatment done there. I don't know what their intentions are but all I can say is that they were not very honest. I am starting to wonder how true all these good reviews are. read more

Our family of five switched to Dr. Tang in 2013 because we read of some good reviews about Solage Dental. We are very pleased that we found a trusted dentist. Dr. Tang is very personable and professional. Also, she is great with our young daughter (started with Dr. Tang since 6 yrs old). I love how my daughter takes in the importance of brushing, flossing and taking care of her teeth because Dr. Tang says so. :o) read more

The dentist spoke with me and offered two options for an appointment the same day. I arrived for the appointment, and I was greeted by receptionist she was friendly and attentive. There was a minimal weight that allowed me to complete the registration forms, and the dental technician brought me straight to an exam room. The dentist was friendly and immediately examined the bridge. X-rays were taken and the dentist briefed me using the x-rays to show me the problem. She offered 2 solutions as I am from out of state. She was very clear and explained both options. This is Thursday evening 5PM, I have an appointment to get the preparation and temporary bridge with impressions for the finished product on Saturday morning. To say the least I am grateful for the super quick appointment and the kindness the dentist and staff afforded to me. My bridge had to have broken so I could meet the Dr. Vundavalli who is a wonderful and kind person. I would recommend anyone needing emergency work, or just a great dental office for hygiene, maintenance or cosmetics this is a great office.

The dentists and hygenists are pretty good at their jobs, esp in preventive care and being punctual…read more However, be aware that the doctors can be condescending, when you get honest with not following their 'rules' like flossing frequently. Their billiing is certainly a mess. More than once I receive invoice that owning them treatment fees, after the visit. Amounts around $200 each time. It can come in after the quotes show an out-of-pocket amount that I fully paid upon the day of visit. There are visits that I checked and was informed that insurance should cover 100%, but no an invoice follows up with $200 owing to them. NO apologies or anything that says the initial estimate was in error. They just go 'you have to pay this amount' period. I use their service for more than 10 years. They were excellent initially. As their patient base builds up, I guess they think they are comfortable enough to pick and choose their patients, in the way they manage their admin office and bedside manners. Issue happens once too many times. I am thinking of switching.
