Saw the rave reviews on Yelp and decided to make a trip to Dixon. I tried the Solano sandwich. It's turkey, jack, avocado, aioli on focaccia bread. I thought it tasted great and the ingredients all work well together. The focaccia bread makes it very easy to bite into. The sandwiches come with a fresh chocolate chip cookie, which was not overwhelmingly sweet which is how I prefer. Also picked up a donut since it was only a dollar something and it was above average. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing by Dixon! read more

They need to improve food and service! Absolutely dreadful of a business. My husband introduced me to this business years ago. We love stopping here on our way to the Bay Area. It was a little mini morning lunch we would do. They have absolutely ruined the food. The donuts don't taste the same anymore. The staff changed and the last 3 times we came in they make our order incorrect. We came 4/26/24 at 11:45 and they were not that busy and they messed up my simple bagel #3 order. We usually get nice sandwiches but the kitchen has been so slow and incorrect in the ingredients that we will be stopping our visits here. It's sad that such a nice business is going downhill because they can't train their staff correctly. read more

Grabbed a half sandwich here on my way home from the discount store. First of all, I love that they had a half sandwich option. I got the cold turkey & jack sandwich, with sourdough instead of wheat bread. It was the biggest half sandwich I've ever seen. Stacked with meat and cheese. It took kind of a while for it to be ready (I think the young lady working wasn't listening when the cook said it was ready) but otherwise the service was lovely. The price was excellent. A half sandwich + bag of chips was the same price as my 16oz matcha latte I bought elsewhere earlier in the day. I'll be back. Seems like a great place to do sit and do some work or just grab a bite & eat a book. The baked goods looked incredible so I'll have to try those next time, too. read more

First time at this place. I ordered the Solano grilled panini with an Iced Carmel Macchiato. The Turkey and melted cheese with avocado in the panini were delicious but the bread and aioli is what really stood out to me as they were mouth watering and fresh. My gf ordered the cream cheese bagel and she ate the whole thing quick. The only thing that we didn't like about the place was that the coffee was prepared like 15 minutes after we got our food. From my guess they just forgot about them because once we mentioned it they brought it within minutes. Still brought only one drink and I had to remind them about the other drink. But the coffee was good so not really a complaint, especially since the staff was very sorry about it and still made the coffees. Would come back again read more

Decided to try this place. Purchased a variety of donuts and cookies. One of the cookies that I ordered never was added. Items came in a small box and 2 different bags. Strange. The fritter was more like a bread than a donut. Couldn't taste the fruit but the glaze was decent. Iced cookies were terrible. Chocolate chip cookie was average. I ordered the Apple Fritter, cinnamon apple filled, raspberry filled, cinnamon roll and maple custard. Oooh yes! Decided to try this place on the way out of town. Been staying in Davis for years around Thanksgiving while visiting family nearby. Couldn't handle another crappy hotel breakfast, so Yelped some local spots and saw this one came highly rated. There was a line outside when we arrived with about 4 people waiting. They only allow a limited number of people inside, so the line can back-up pretty quickly. The woman who helped us said they sometimes have people line up 10-20 deep when they open at 5:30am. Once inside, there is nice decor and art around, and the smell of fresh baked goods. The line moves relatively quickly, but can vary based on how indecisive people get, haha! We had decided on getting a couple savory breakfast items and a couple donuts. FOOD: ~The first item we got was the "breakfast bagel" ($6.50) - Got the #2 (Egg, Bacon and Jack), subbed Cheddar for the Jack cheese and got it on a croissant instead of a bagel -- it was very tasty and fresh. They had packs of Tapatio that I put on some bites for added flavor. The croissant tasted like it was baked that morning and wasn't overly flakey like some can be. ~Also got a "Tot Bowl" ($7.50) - "Bakery fries, bacon, jack cheese, tomato, avocado, sour cream & salsa. Noticed this did not include eggs, so asked to add it on. It was pretty good, definitely good bang for the buck as it was very hearty. They unfortunately forgot the bacon, which makes a big difference in the flavor profile. The tot bowl we saw on the menu had bacon listed, though it was not included on the receipt. The cheese hardened up pretty quickly since it was surrounded by the cold toppings, but still had good flavor. ~Got a Ham & Cheese stuffed croissant ($2.75). Good taste on the ham -- reheated in the toaster over at home to get a nice flakey crunch on it. ~They also have grilled paninis and cold classic sandwiches. DONUTS: Classic - $1.25 each or $13.80 per dozen. Deluxe - $1.45 each or $16.20 per dozen. ~Got 4 total: Chocolate with Oreo, Strawberry with Fruity Pebbles, Maple Old Fashioned, and a Chocolate Bar. They were all REALLY good! They were flavorful, fluffy and doughy. They tasted fresh and the frostings and toppings were all on point! ~They have tons of options, including various cereal and candy bar donuts, apple fritters, and cookies to name a few. DRINKS: ~We did not get drinks from here, as we love Dutch Bros too much and don't have one near home. However, they do have plenty of options such as brewed and iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, teas & more. ~They also have a fountain for sodas, and a drink cooler with canned sodas, juices, water, Gatorade, energy drinks, Jarritos, etc. Overall we really liked this place. I went in there for a doughnut but was surprised to see they have an amazing selection! Their doughnuts were fantastic! They have the best doughnuts I've had in town by a long shot. They seem to be made daily. Their prices are fair considering the quality of the baked goods you're getting. A very cute family owned business cafe I found on my road trip. Planned on going to Safeway but found this in the same shopping center and gave it a try and it did not disappoint. When you walk in you're welcomed with a genuine smile from the staff. They have so many pastries and sweets but I went with the breakfast sandwich and cold brew coffee. Stopped here for a restroom stop and little did I know it would turn into temptation island. Baked goods up the wazoo. Cookies, muffins, donuts, scones, cannolis...just to name a few...best of all Like 8+ flavors of fritters!!! I had only heard of apple fritter and blueberry fritter at one other place, but this place had maple, coconut, banana, lemon, peach, cherry, plus more that I am forgetting at the moment. I got the banana fritter, butterfinger crumble raised donut, and red velvet old fashioned donut. I thought I was done but on my way out the door I spotted a shelf with "day old baked goods" for a buck a bag. I ended up buying a bag of 4 sprinkled old fashioned donuts. OOPs there goes my diet!!! I find my family and I have been going there every weekend for something or another. Been there several times. Today, like Amy other day I ordered 3 maple doughnuts and a muffin. The young lady, blond hair and eye glasses, put the doughnuts in a bag and threw the muffin in ontop. This is a great bakery for my first time here! Although there was a long line, it went by quick so there was barely a wait. The customer service was great; they were really friendly and nice.
