Absolutely amazing! Both in customer service and in final quality (and honestly, in price too). This is the sixth nail salon we've tried in a five mile radius, and once we tried Solar Nails, we haven't wanted to leave! The employees are friendly, kind, and want to take the time to know you and understand your preferences. Kathy is an amazing nail technician and overall great person. She has taken the time to get to know me, even surprising me with a birthday balloon! Steven is the most talented acrylic nail technician we've ever seen. He knows just what my girl likes and always makes sure her nails aren't too sharp for me! (ha) Kevin gives a life changing pedicure. I always pray that I'll get a turn with him! He clearly cares about his clients, and doing the job right, rather than quickly. Diana is sweet, kind, and perfect if you like to zone out and enjoy your experience in the massage chair! Timmy is also wonderful. You can tell he is smiling even behind the mask! He always makes us laugh, but always takes his job very seriously. Overall, this family is so kind, generous, and personable. You won't find another salon like Solar Nails! If that didn't convince you, it was also about $10-$15 cheaper per person than every place we went to, and our nails have laster longer. Years ago I went to Steven for my nails and his wife Cathy for my pedicures and my eyebrows waxed. Before I moved out of the area I was going to them for about 10 years. I recently moved back to Ventura county and was looking for a good nail place. They moved their shop so I was at a loss as to who I was going to go to. I was told today where their new shop was. So I drove over to see if they had any openings. I got lucky and was able to get in right away. I haven't been to them in over 5 years and they still remembered me by name. Even asked how my husband and kids were doing. They even asked about my sisters who use to go to them as well. Steven did an AMAZING job on my nails. Cathy was amazing as well with my pedicure and waxing! I was asked several times if I wanted something to drink and if I was comfortable. The owners of this salon are so nice, and the work all of their employees do is phenomenal. I've been a few times just popping in, and went again this past Saturday. My nails were a mess, and my callouses on my heals a nightmare. I walked out a new woman - haha! Last night, I was sitting on my couch marveling at how good of a job Cathy did on my nails, and my toes look amazing still as well. They also have a lot of perks. Have a cough? They offer you water and a cough drop. Is it warm out? They grab a small fan to put on your chair. And they are just really friendly people, which you can tell isn't just a one time put on because so many people in the salon are clearly regular customers. My mom newly moved back the the states and this is her go to whole in Ventura county. STEVEN the owner does her nails , the matriarch of the shop Kathy serves you drinks and snacks to ensure you are content if not even getting a service . Today I was served lychee candy , coffee for the best Joe snob and gourmet cheese doodle curls! Mind you I was joy being serviced only Mom today . Service was great , shop is neat and clean , parking is convenient and nearby shopping to boot. They are customer oriented, if you don't like something , SPEAK UP. There are a few places I would ever think to review and this salon is absolutely one of them. A true Camarillo gem. I was forever going to a place that is super popular in town but after a horrible experience I decided to try this salon and I am so grateful I did. Steven, the shop owner is passionate about his service and it shows. I love that they listen to your requests and never waver. Steven was my nail tech and was the one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. My appointment was at 4:00 but I was going to be a bit late due to my bus being late; I called in advance for a heads up and he kindly and patiently waited for me to get there and did an amazing job with my nails! This was my first time going to this nail salon and it definitely will not be my last. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and even offered water/coffee! Wow this please is amazing, i started coming here about 2 months ago and all i have to say is that they treated me like a queen the second i stepped my foot in there. From offering me water, coffee, snacks and even someone feeding me in my mouth while i was getting my hands done. Maybe you don't like someone feeding you in your mouth but it just shows how far they go to serve you and making you feel great while you are there. Tonight was my first time coming to this salon! My boyfriends mom told me that she loves this place so I decided to try it and I was not let down! I walked in around 6:20 and they were more than happy to take me in even though they were closing soon and they did not rush to get my nails done even after it passed 7pm. I don't do my nails often, but I needed to her a manicure and pedicure to get ready for my wedding. I hadn't made in an appointment so I was glad to be able to walk-in and get great service. Cathy even found a couple of wedding music playlists to set the mood. The staff was awesome. I had gone in not really knowing what I wanted but after letting Cathy and Timmy know my wedding was coming up they gave me great suggestions. The foot massage was awesome. OMGosh! I've been looking for a place like this where I can be comfortable with the staff while getting pampered. Tonight was the very first night going to this place and right away the staff took care of me and I got to know them right away. Jimmy took care of my deluxe pedi, wonderful massage. I go here so much !! I always get my acrylics done or filled here and they're so nice and done so well ! The staff is extremely nice and make you experience so comfortable! I always bring my family or friends and they have rave reviews too ! They always make sure my acrylics will stay on which other salons i've tried to go to i ended up breaking them in hours-a couple days. I am new to Camarillo and I was looking for a place to get my nails done. I was a walk in and I didn't have to wait long. The workers are really friendly and they even offered me something to drink while waiting. I am very happy with my gel manicure. I will definitely be going back. Great prices too.
