Worst experience EVER. The workers were really rude (putting it lightly) they cut my toes 3 times and they even tried telling me my best friend tattoo I got with a friend meant something else. Then they had even given my friend wine the day before and told me they only give water. Never go there. Bad job at the nails too. read more

I received a full set of solar nails from Mai Tran 02/04/2013. She insisted that I have Solar Nail applied. I explained to her that I needed to have everything clean due to a chemo treatment I am on and new and she acknowledged and said she understands. She was very busy and was working on my nails and another customers nails. I had bleeding nail beds as she cut my skin with her drill (she applied a solution that burnt my skin), her black hair was in my nails, bubbles, and yellow tint on my nails after pointing it out to her she tried to fix it and could not. A week later I went into the salon, I still had scabs on my nail beds, my left index finger was yellow, my left pinky and ring finger nails were separating. I explained to her my concern and a man took pictures of my fingers, as the man was taking the pictures Mai grabbed my right wrist, with aggression and I started to cry. I asked for her license number and she got angry, the man and another lady came to rub my back and offered tea. the other lady kept apologizing. I asked for my money back, she refused and said no, I asked for her license number and she declined stating I was not going to get her into trouble it was a mistake. Mai said it was the product that changed my nails colors, she explained the lifting of the nails was a mistake. I searched for the Solar Nails on the licensing website and could not find the exact salon. Mai ended up giving me a refund and taking some of the nails off...she said she could not get the entire nail cleaned because she would rip my enamel. I am putting Tea Tree Oil on my nails to get rid of the fungus. read more

We have used this salon before and were very happy... BUT yesterday was a disaster. Please don't take reservations and then let walk-ins come in and take spots you should have... After 2 hrs I was the only one who had a complete pedicure with one nail technician. Of my three daughters, one whose birthday we were celebrating, one had 2 nail techs and ended up with a miscommunication and got the wrong color gel. The next never had the tech for more than 4 minutes at a time as she was running the salon, but she did get the correct color. Then the final didn't even get any polish at all... because when someone threatened to walk out they pulled her tech to do a manicure... and yet they continued to take walk-ins... so unprofessional. And when we came we told them we had a movie to get to... after 2 hours we had to leave to make the movie. And my daughter that they never finished was expected to pay full price for a deluxe pedicure! It was insane! They did offer to let the 2 who were not completed come back and get color/color correction but we will not be going back. read more

again i can't stress enough how great the staff is. i went in to have my nails redone yesterday and nhy (sorry if it's spelled wrong!) did a beautiful job shaping my nails, made sure the acrylic wasn't too thick, and was willing to help me get creative with the design. a few hours later i broke off a good chunk of the acrylic on my thumb:( i went back in today and explained the situation and he and mai were a great help in getting it fixed. he even fixed a chip in the gel on another finger for me! each visit just confirms for me that this will definitely be my home salon:) read more

There are several nail salons closer to my house but I choose to go to Solar Nails. The pedicures are so relaxing. I have had acrylic nails and shellac. My nails always look beautiful! I had shellac put on at other salons and it peels after a few days but not at Solar Nails! Mai does the BEST eye brow waxing in town! I am very disappointed with my last visit. A gentleman attempted to apply a full set but obviously did not know what he was doing. He literally just glopped the powder on, didn't shape them, they were very crooked and uneven. I said something to him and he barely attempted to fix them. I finally had one of the ladies there (I believe Mai) fix them for me. I've had this set on for a very short time and they are already pealing up, almost like they are barely glued and it didn't seem that he prepped the nail very well. I've been there a few times and have had decent results, nothing spectacular but don't think I'll be going back after this as having full set put on is pricey when they don't last. read more

They did a great job for me. I had a broken nail that had broken below the quick & was painful. They cut it carefully without pain & now it can grow back nicely. Also, they did a great job with a toe that tends to get ingrown. That, too, can be painful & they did an expert job with no pain. I will be back. read more

I've been going to Solar Nails and Spa for nearly a year now and am very happy with the service I have received. Their prices are reasonable and equal to other nail salons. After being seated, customers are always asked if they would like a drink. This is never charged for and part of their customer service. I get solar nails with the gel polish and have been very happy with the quality of them. They take time to make sure the service you receive is what YOU want. Each and every time I have been there, after the service is complete, I am asked if it is what I wanted, and if I'm happy with it. I have seen the techs fix little things here and there for other customers after their services are done and it is always with a smile and positive attitude. The facials are very relaxing and thorough. I did fall asleep...oops, but that's a good thing. The basic pedicure comes with Hot Stones. Most other places don't do this. I broke a nail once while gardening, went right over and they fixed it with no problems. I also had my gel peel (for what ever reason) and it was re-polished with no questions asked. As a regular customer, I wasn't charged for either of these issues. The staff is very easy to work with and they have very, very good customer relations. I am happy to refer Solar Nails and Spa to anyone who would like to visit a quality nail salon. I am always satisfied with the price, quality of service and willingness to ensure their customers are satisfied, even after they have left the salon. read more

Since I live about a block from this place, this is always my go to. As of recently though, my mother and I came here on a Sunday and and didn't receive very good service. As one of the owners was doing my nails, she got up and started another persons. No big deal- I know sometimes things run behind. 15 minutes go by and still nothing. I started to get frustrated because my mother is waiting on me and we had an appointment.. mind you we were already here for two hours. I'm not sure if I will go back, but if I do I'll make sure I don't have anything going on after. read more

Good place unless you have an issue!!! My French Gel for some reason was porous and taking on every type of stain. I called and Mai told me to come in to fix it. I arrived and had to indure an embarrassing admonishing by the three staff how I must have done something. "But we fix!" When Mai walked away the other two continued to tell me that the staining was my fault. It was very confrontational and embarrassing. I stayed only long enough to have them strip my nails, then I walked out. I'd rather pay to go somewhere else than to be treated so poorly. Solar nails just lost my business and any further recommendations. read more

I rarely write reviews but I felt I needed to write this one. I loved solar the first and third time I went and haven't loved my nails other times. They take way too long and today I was supposed to pick up my sister so I went an hour and ten minutes early, I was done 45 minutes after I was supposed to pick up my sister. It appears they are short staffed as the woman that always does my nails rushes back and fourth between customers the whole time. However my nails do look good. I recommend going at least an hour and a half before you need to be anywhere as that's usually the amount of time it takes to get done. I would rate 4 stars, but it just takes too long and I ended up getting in big trouble today because it took too long. read more

Solar Nails always provides great service. I go there for pedicures and shellac manicures. Usually I have Lana do my manicures, and she does a wonderful, meticulous job every time. My pedicures are always relaxing and well done, no matter who does my service. Mai is always warm and welcoming and makes an effort to make everyone comfortable in the salon. This is my go to place for mani pedis and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

My first 2 or 3 trips here for full mani/pedi were great, until I went in and got shellac on my nails. Within a day, 3 of the shellac finger treatments had fallen off, something I have NEVER experienced after any other salon. I went in and they redid those 3, until the next day when 2 other nails had the same thing, the entire polish just fell off of my nail. After 2 more days, every single one had come off and when I went back in to Solar Nails to have my shellac redone, I was under the impression they were going to fix the problem for free, since shellac is supposed to last about 2 weeks and mine lasted for about 1-4 days. They charged me full price for a new set after they were finished and I was so upset.. After they had messed up they expected me to pay AGAIN for horrible service. I will not be going back here, and I will certainly not be recommending this place to anyone. If you want your shellac to last more than 24 hours, save your money and go somewhere else. read more

My daughter and I found this place when we thought we were going to try something new. I was getting a full set of acrylic nails and my daughter got a fill. When we got in there, a man was in charge of doing my full set. He didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. All but one nail was placed on the wrong finger. I asked him three times to fix them but he just kept saying he'll file them down later which was the exact opposite of what I wanted since he already filed them down too much. Not only that, he made them crooked and uneven. After he was done attempting trying to fix them, a women who seemed like the manager came over to fix my nails the best she could which was still not very much since they were awful from the man's attempt. As soon as she was done she changed me 80 dollars for the whole thing which means they charged me for two full sets instead of one full set and a fill! A day later, my nails started breaking off and my daughter's and my fingers was infected which shows they don't use clean supplies. I would not go back there if you paid me! read more
