OK what can I say it's Ruth Chris! The steaks were delicious the service was good. It was a celebration of my mother's 80th birthday and we had reservations ahead of time and my brother-in-law had called and talked to them about my mom and they were very accommodating and they took care of my mom really well. There was a smattering of different orders. My sister got the Ahi tuna, which was delicious, the chicken roasted was good as well and of course the steaks filet mignon we ordered were delicious. It was very beautiful inside, and we had a good table. Nice and quiet. We did wait at the bar and everybody got drinks. My mule that I ordered was delicious. read more

Do NOT do NOT have the Crab cakes, they are putrid. They stink and taste fishy and ruin the rest of your meal. I have had crab cakes numerous places down the eastern seaboard, and this hands down is the worst. My grandson ordered the child's grouper which was fabulous, perfect in every way. The decor and the service was excellent, but he had wanted to try crab cakes and (a 10 year old boy) said 'oooh these taste fishy' Mind you this boy is a fisherman and eats fish all the time. I thought they were horrible but didn't want to spoil his experience, so I didn't say anything. He ate I, i ate one and we shared his dinner because the crab was so horrible. (go to Trulucks in Fort Lauderdale for great crab cakes) these spoiled our meal and in truth, I was amazed that we didn't get sick. I even contacted corporate but they didn't care. We decided to eat at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for our business dinner while working in the Destin area. The restaurant is located on Hwy 98 a bit West of the outlet mall. The establishment is everything that you could want in a fine steakhouse. They even have a "wine room" adorned with bottles of wine on walls of glass. Really cool. We started our meal with appetizers of Escargot and Spicy Shrimp. The Spicy Shrimp were a big hit. I ordered a glass of Meomi Pinot Noir, and the only knock was that for $16, I expect a heavier pour. For our main meals, we ordered the Steak Skewer Salad and the Filet and Cold Water Lobster Tail. And for our side an order of Creamed Spinach Au Gratin. My Filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare and my Lobster was fresh and cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. My husband took me here for my 50th Birthday dinner. It was the best food I had ever had in my life, dessert included. I had Surf n Turf and potatoes for side dish. This review is over due. We started out at Fleming's for our thanksgiving lunch, but the bartender/ staff were so rude that we left and came to Ruth's. So glad we did! Beautiful atmosphere but I could barely get the first bite of Chilean sea bass down it was that bad. My husband noticed and swapped me for his rib eye steak which turned out to be mostly fat. $200 plus dinner that left us hungry.. I really can't recommend. read more

Pros: Very nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Hands down the best sweet potato casserole, don't knock it until you try it! I think I also found my favorite Cabernet here, Twenty Rows. Very impressed! Service was on point. Waiter was friendly and humble. Sometimes white linens can accompany an intimidating waitstaff, but this was not the case. Perfect wine recommendations and sharing options/presentation on a beautifully portioned porterhouse, that was perfectly done. We ordered potatoes au gratin and tasted our guest's sweet potatoes- both were incredible. Crabtini and wedge salad were great starters. Creme Brûlée was ok (I prefer a crispier top) but was a gift along with a chocolate cake for our anniversary, so no complaints! It was a really nice experience. read more

By far one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant! Everyone there was so nice. We were greeted and told Happy Anniversary by everyone. Our drinks were kept full, our service was impeccable, but, most of all, the food was outstanding. My filet was the best I have ever had - cooked to perfection. The side were delicious as well. Since it was a special occasion, we splurged and had dessert. I would definitely go back! It is worth the money spent. read more

Last night of our vacation. We were supposed to be on a cruise this week but Hurricane Matthew changed those plans. We decided to bring our 8 year old here to have our "formal night". It was exactly what you expect from Ruth's Chris. Impeccable service, amazing food. We were getting a little antsy waiting for our check to come, but instead our waiter brought us out complimentary chocolate lava cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and a creme brûlée. He wanted to help make up for our missing our cruise desserts. Top notch! Oh! We had the filets, potatoes au-gratin, corn w/ jalapeños (gotta try it - so good) and our daughter had steak and Mac & cheese. read more

I would give it more stars if the valet parking attendant was not such a douche. My encounter with them really put a damper on the evening. I ordered the 16oz ribeye, creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak did not have a lot of seasoning but it was still tasty. The spinach and potatoes left a lot to be desired. The potatoes tasted like they were straight out of the box. If I come again I will only get steak and forgo the sides; however, given that you have to valet park the car (even though there are parking spaces in the establishment next to the restaurant, but you can't park there or the attendants will have you towed, yes, he threatened me with this) and the sides were below average, I would go to Fleming's rather than return to this restaurant. read more

Our table we had to wait 30 min for drinks , 35 min for food 40 min for desert, BUT 10 min for $150.00 bill. Our other table - waitress had her game on . We went for lunch on Thanksgiving day, just the two of us and there were a lot of large parties seated at the same time. I think this was the primary reason why our service was not particularly good. We had to ask for water, it took forever to get a check, nothing really egregious but not nearly what I expected. Points on the food the bread that was served was very mediocre, the Thanksgiving sausage stuffing was not particularly good. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and as good as it gets. Our table rec'd several orders of spinach and broccoli orders because our waiter admitted he couldn't tell them apart. Our "doggie bags" were lumped together in one box! I have never been disappointed with a meal from Ruth's Chris. it has been a long time since I have had an excuse toget there. however last week was my son's birthday. he requested a gift card for Hooters or Ruth's Chris. I couldn't find these pages this weekend so I told him it would be Hooters. I think he will be pleasantly surprised when he sees some from here. It will take a large number of points to pay for two or three meals. I'm pretending they will not order alcohol because that would have to take another large denomination gift card. My only regret is that I can't get to Denver to enjoy it with them. I'm imagining each delicious course as I select the gift card. read more

Let's start with the positives; the restaurant is very upscale, fancy, and the staff were very professional, and what one would expect at an upscale restaurant. Now for the bad: Given the prices of the steaks on the menu, ($40-60), I just can't justify giving the restaurant anything more than a fair to average review. Now this is not to say that the steaks were bad, they were actually fairly good, they just weren't $45 and $55 good. I hate to say this but me and my wife have had just as good steaks at Longhorn, Outback and even Texas Roadhouse, which sell the same cuts of steak for a fraction of the price. If a restaurant is going to charge high dollar prices, then they need to deliver something exceptional. We also both thought that the seasoning on the steaks was severely lacking and I was forced to add considerable salt and pepper to the steak, though the buttery richness was very tasty. The sides, which are ordered as family style plates, were pretty good, and I thought the brussel sprouts were very delicious. When asked about our food by the manager, my wife was honest that she wasn't overwhelmed by it, and to his credit, he did take the cost of my wife's steak off the bill. Overall I would have to say that this restaurant is nothing special. If you have to impress someone like a boss or in-laws, then this would be a nice place to take them due to the high end atmosphere. If however you were thinking about paying top dollar for something above and beyond the usual standards at chain restaurants, then you may be a little disappointed as me and my wife were. read more
