Just a heads up, they do add a 3.99% charge (not sure of any credit card merchant that charges that much for processing credit cards but....) for paying with a credit card so keep that in mind when calculating your tip as the bill can be a bit misleading and you might end up tipping not on the food portion, but also on the added surcharge as well. Went the other night with a friend. The wives were back up north. We both ordered the Chicken parmesan with penne. It came with spaghetti. The waiter owner said the cook made a mistake & would make a plate of penne if we didn't want the spaghetti. We didn't want to let our meal get cold so we said the spaghetti was ok. The sauce was ok but at $24.95 would have expected more. Have ordered chicken parm from just about every Italian restaurant in Myrtle & no one charges that much. Also the menus on yelp state it's $19.95 . The owner waiter could be a used car salesman he certainly had a gift to sell! He talked us into a gnocchi appetizer which I will say was delicious. But without a drink ( only water ) the 2 meals a the appetizer $72 was in my opinion a little pricey for chicken parmigiana! read more

My wife and I had dinner at Sole on Saturday 4/29. The restaurant was semi-full and everyone looked happy. This was our second time and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was the same girl we had the first time and she was on point. We started with the Calamari and it was excellent. We had Veal Piccata and Fiocchi they were five star meals. The piccata was thin pieces of veal covered in a lemons and caper sauce. It was very tasty and served with a side of pasta. The fiocchi is a wonderful pasta filled with pear and parmesan cream. It was rich, but wow absolutely wonderful. The white sauce of the fiocchi was a perfect creamy goodness. Oh yes the house salad was divine. Overall disappointing. At best mediocre. Bruschetta was disappointing. Just some bread with a few tomatoes, olive oil and balsamic. Not much effort here and it tasted that way. Sauce was raw. Not cooked enough for the flavors to come together. No it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Eggplant parm received poor review. The pasta dishes were all given a Meh! Or Not Bad. The only dish that was good was the Pork Osso Bucco. Service was okay. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. If the food was good I'd have been happy. read more

Frank the owner is amazing and so friend and accommodating!!! The cream sauce in his food is to die for! I have never had veal before and I figured why not give it a try! And I am now afraid to order it ever again because I don't think it will ever compare! We were a big party of 8 adults and 3 kids. We had the back room to ourselves and ever got a large paper table covering for the kids to draw on plus a variety of coloring books and full on crayon packets!! The food here is stupendous, like truly very tasty. Phenomenal. But the negative reviews that complain about the wait time are dead right. It's fine if you're not in any rush and I'll say it again the food is fantastic, but it definitely took 20 min to get served, 20 min to get a bread basket followed by 20 min to get a mixed salad that came with a single cherry tomato and slice of cucumber. The main courses took forever to come out. Really good bread though. If you don't flag them down for the check you'd definitely be looking at another 15-20 minutes until you got another chance so just to be aware of. Loved the linguini vongole and the lasagna was really good too. One of the best tiramisu I've ever had. The cannoli was pretty good. My husband liked it more than I did. Drinkable wines. This place feels like a locals only kind of spot like, a hidden treasure. It's got a nice cozy feel. Would give 4 stars for the slow ass service but whatever. Also the owner seems very introverted. I had very high expectations of this restaurant from the reviews. It was very easy to make reservations last minute and we were seated right away when we arrived. We were greeted by the owners daughter and told the specials. We placed an order for the fiocchi since everyone recommended it and it was very tasty! They had a special for lobster ravioli and the sauce was top notch. We were told that we would get salads so we got the Caesar salad and wow, every piece of lettuce had cheese and dressing on it. The problem came to the bill, we shared one plate so we were charged for spitting the plate which we never told them to spilt the plate nor did they ask us and then we were charged for an extra salad and again they never came to ask us if we would like an extra salad. I don't mind paying but I like to be informed before hand. When we were greeted by the daughter she said she was helping out and didn't know much, so I would have appreciated if she asked us how we wanted everything! We went to Sole when it first opened about ten years ago. It inspired my best friend and I to take our girls to Italy which we did four years ago. Tonight, we were back in Myrtle Beach and it was the only place we would consider going to. It did not disappoint! It's run by the family and they truly love what they do and it shows in the food. The finocci is an absolute must!! My daughter remembered it from 10 years ago and it was the winner at the table tonight. The oso bucco...whether pork or veal was incredible. Both girls got lobster ravioli and the flounder was superb. You have to finish with the house made lemoncello and the lemoncello cake is amazing. I've left a review last year but this place is so good it deserves a yearly review with my Myrtle beach trips. I LOVE Sole. The bread is fresh and the owner is so charismatic and greets you like an old friend. If you haven't tried the Fiocchi, get it. It is technically an appetizer but it could easily be a meal. I got the lobster ravioli and was convinced to add the lobster tail on top. It was delicious as was everything else. SO happy Yelp led us here, what a fantastic place! As with far too much of the area, COVID hit this family restaurant hard. We found out this and so much else from the owner, Frankie, and his mother, who are the sweetest, most entertaining souls. Upon walking in, shortly after they opened for the evening, we were seated in the only currently open dining room. This place used to regularly have an hour wait and live jazz, along with three dining rooms packed. After a history lesson and Frankie going over the most popular dishes, we ordered an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms and our entrees, which came with house salads. One member of my party got an orange martini, made with 95% proof homemade alcohol. They said it was delicious, like a dreamsicle. The mushrooms came and were to die for, especially the light sauce on them. Best mushrooms we have ever had by far. The salads were great, very fresh with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. The warm bread with dipping oil/herbs and parm cheese was a delight. I got the seafood medley, it was pretty good. You have a choice of three sauces, I went with the garlic but I think the spicy sauce would have been a better pair. I tried a member of my party's fiocchi - I can see why it's so popular. I would come back just for that! At the end of the meal, Frankie offered everyone in the restaurant a shot of his homemade limoncello, if you were of age and interested. Picked this restaurant based on the reviews. Walked in without a reservation and were seated within minutes. The dining room is intimate and softly illuminated. Our server, Ava, greeted us warmly and offered cocktails and recommendations for starters. Everything on the menu sounded great so we had a difficult time choosing. Went with the Fiocchi off the specials menu. Pillowy pasta purses filled with cheeses and pear; served in a sherry cream sauce with prosciutto and peas. This was a phenomenal beginning to the culinary journey. Ava also recommended the Vitello della Rosa and the Farfalle. One bite into each dish and we were in love! Mid-service we met Patty, Ava's grandmother, who has a knack for making you feel right at home! After entrees we were absolutely stuffed but could not say no to the dessert special that Patty had made; a fresh lemon mascarpone with mango gel to share and a single espresso each. We left with such fond affection for not only the meal but also the family that we could not stop talking about the experience! Day dreaming of the mascarpone dessert, We returned the following night hoping to get another piece. Even though they had already locked the doors for the night they graciously opened the doors, welcomed us with open arms and were prepared to seat us for a full meal!!! This is THE BEST Italian restaurant you will eat at in the area - hands down. I'm putting that on record. My parents and I came in for dinner on a Monday around 6:45pm. We were greeted when we came in and were taken to a table within a minute. There was a party of 6-7 in one of the rooms off to the side, and another table occupied in one of the corners. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves. Our server came over shortly after we were seated to tell us about the specials and get our drink order. The owner, Frankie, came over to chat for a bit. He told us if we wanted a dish but a different pasta, or wanted to add chicken, shrimp, etc. to a dish, to let the server know and he'd do that. If they have the ingredients, they'll accommodate. I think that's great! We started with a small Fiocchi appetizer (pasta purses stuffed with 3 cheeses and pear, in a Michelangelo sauce, heavy ream base, green peas and prosciutto) for the table. It's delicious. We get this every time we come here. They also offer a larger portion. The dish is rich. We were also given complimentary bread, an olive oil and pesto mixture, and a bowl of cheese. The bread was fresh and crispy. The pesto and cheese paired well. All entrees came with a side salad with house vinaigrette. The dressing was delicious. The salad greens and toppings were fresh. We ordered: - Shrimp Scampi (jumbo shrimp with EVOO and garlic white wine sauce over linguini). My dad loved it, but it had way too much garlic for him. To be fair, the menu did indeed say there was garlic in the dish. It had cut chunks of garlic throughout. He would order the dish again, but ask for light or no garlic. - Spaghetti Marinara with sausage. My mom loved this. There was quite a bit of sausage and it had a great flavor. The red sauce was good as well. - Linguini Carbonara (onions, prosciutto, egg white creamy sauce) with chicken. This dish was so good. I was afraid it would be too heavy but it wasn't. I asked to add chicken for this dish and they added a ton. It had great seasoning and flavor. The onions were cooked soft and there was lots of pancetta throughout. We ordered two desserts to go, Italian Ricotta Cheesecake and a Chocolate Mousse cake. Both were delicious. My dad said the chocolate mousse was one of the best he's ever had. The service was pretty good. They don't rush you. Some may see that as service being slow but I like not being rushed during dinner. We had time to relax and chat for a while. Our server was attentive and checked on us throughout. The restaurant is on the darker side in terms of lighting. I understand it's to create a certain atmosphere and mood, but it may be too dark for some. Don't let the mini strip mall appearance fool you! This is definitely a hidden gem. Such good conversation that you feel like family lowkey. You can tell the people here also really love the food and know the menu. It's that good; every single one of us went "mmmm" immediately after taking a first bite. For my entree, I got the rack of lamb. It's served with Parmesan risotto and some veggies. Cleaned my plate, it was so good. Lamb was cooked perfectly medium like I asked, and it was so flavorful. The risotto was literally perfect too. Other things my table got were the penne alla vodka, spaghetti, traditional lasagna, and veal saltinbocca. Everything was so so good. Standouts for sure were the fiocchi, the lamb, and the veal saltinbocca. My friend who got the saltinbocca literally took a bite and had to pause a minute to reevaluate his entire life because it was so good. Like legit, he stopped eating and just stared for a moment so that tells you everything you need to know. Definitely coming back here every time we're in Myrtle and trying the rest of the menu. Also the portions weren't tiny like some places. Like you'll be full and satisfied. Wish I'd taken more pics too cause everything visually was beautiful too. So fucking good honestly. Last night we had an amazing experience with our friends at Sole Italian Restaurant. We have been there several times and it is absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in Myrtle Beach! As always the food was delicious, for appetizers our table enjoyed the Fiocchi and Bruschetta. Some of our favorite entrees are the Veal or Pork Osso Bucco and the Vitello Della Rossa ( Veal Rose) with risotto. I love that they easily cater to customers' requests because I always ask for Chicken Della Rosa instead of the veal. The service is impeccable and ambiance lends itself for a perfect place where friends can gather and converse while enjoying a night of fine dining.
