Banana bread latte, with cold foam
    Nicole T.

I'm so excited that our neighborhood has a beautiful little coffee shop in it now! Coffee Cove has been open for about a week at the time of making this review, and we've been back twice. The coffee is strong and fresh, with lots of fun flavors to choose from. The first time I went, I tried their banana bread latte, the second, their cookie butter latte! Both were delicious. They also have "cake cookies" which are served warm and are sweet, soft and flavorful. (We got the coffee cake flavor, yum.) They have been busy both times, but are great at getting through their line, and serving quality drinks in good time. We will be back again soon to try out more menu items, and again, are so happy about the new shop!

I loved the ambiance and the friendliness of each employee! I had the cookie butter latte and matcha. Delicious! I also got chocolate cake cookies and they were extremely fresh and hot

I love the coffee here! I've been coming here a bit after they opened and the service here is truly so good and the employees are always kind. The cookie butter latte, banana bread latte, and banana muffins are so good! The layout is super cozy and I love how it can be a place to hang out with friends. Service is quick and they truly care about the quality of drinks and food they serve.

The vibe of the cafe is so welcoming! The layout is great for both getting in and out super quick for your morning pick-me-up before work but also has a lot of really comfortable seating to bunker down and study! The staff is friendly and willing to answer all questions about drinks, even if it was me going "well which is your favorite?" just for me to pick a different drink (sorryyyyy haha). The drinks are yummy and a lil on the decadent side so I will definitely be coming back for my next sweet treat craving!!

Second time here since they opened. First off I am so excited to have a cute local coffee shop close to home. Locally owned, non franchise options are very limited. Happy to say the coffee is good and I'm excited to try their menu once they offer good. A couple suggestions would be to work on their consistency. I got the cookie butter latte both times, one had a biscoff type cookie floating on top, the second time, it did not. I would also like to see a fun seasonal menu to keep it fresh and updated options and lastly, consider offering a coffee flight, none of the coffee places up here do it, I've been to several places in other areas, it's super fun and a unique offering that would make you stand out.

So so so BOMB, I went here for a matcha with my husband and the baristas hooked it uppp

I've always had great experiences with Bad Ass Coffee... especially at the Rancho Cucamonga location, where the staff consistently goes above and beyond. Because of that, I had high expectations for this Hesperia location. Unfortunately, this visit was farrrrr short. I ordered two drinks; one with whipped cream and one specifically without. When the drinks were prepared, the one that was supposed to include whipped cream didn't have it. At no point did any staff member mention they were out of whipped cream. When I asked about it at the counter, I was met with a dismissive response: "Oh, we're out of whipped cream for the day." There was no apology or effort to make it right. What made the situation more frustrating was overhearing staff offer alternative options (like cold foam alternative) to customers right after us due to the same issue. That option was never extended to us, which felt inconsistent and unfair. Additionally, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. The staff's behavior came across as oddly secretive and unwelcoming, especially when my sister and niece arrived. It felt like there were unnecessary comments and attitudes directed toward us, which made the experience even more unpleasant. I believe this location would benefit from additional training in customer services. Particularly around communication, consistency, and treating all customers with equal respect. At a minimum, situations like running out of an ingredient should be clearly communicated, along with an apology and an alternative option offered to every customer. It's extremely disappointing to see this level of service associated with a brand that I've otherwise held in high regard.

We stopped by around 11:00-11:30 a.m., thinking the morning rush would be over, but the place was still packed. After trying it, I can definitely see why. They had already sold out of all their pastries, which says a lot about how busy they are, but the coffee was amazing. I ordered the iced maple salt latte with oat milk, and it was so good. My son got the bourbon caramel latte, and he loved his too. The shop itself is small, but there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. What impressed me most was that there were only two employees working, and they handled the crowd incredibly well. They kept things moving, acknowledged customers as they came in and when it was their turn to order, and were still kind and friendly. The café was also very clean and well kept. For there to be only two people working and the crowd they had at 11 o'clock, I'm sure it had probably been busy all morning. Even so, everything was clean and organized. Great coffee, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Also, I would say this place probably has the best cafe matcha in the High Desert. Compared to everywhere else, the matcha flavor is strong and smooth, but it does taste homemade. The taro latte could use a lot of work. It tastes like melted vanilla ice cream. It can take a minute to get your drinks and order, but I think it's totally worth it to support the local businesses.

The first time, we drove up and took our drinks to a nearby park for my toddler to get the wiggles out, and the second time we came in to order and use the bathroom - heads up, they do not have a changing table. The iced horchata espresso was a good choice, if sweeter than I usually like my drinks. I appreciate that they have a giant XL size for about $7. Second visit, my drink was an iced chocolate cold brew with mint foam, a March special. This one was awful, with chocolate puddled at the bottom instead of mixed in. The foam was okay. My daughter usually steals my drinks but she had no interest in this one. My husband got a chai both times and enjoyed them. Didn't try the food at this joint but did try out the creme brulee latte with oat milk. Was pretty good.

Sometimes on quiet days in town there is a wait because the cashier is also responsible for preparing the food/drinks, but it's always reasonable. The prices are very fair, they do not hit you with the "mountain tax" at all. The drip coffee is tasty and the espresso is good as well! I haven't had the pastries yet but they look good, especially the donuts, and I'm excited to come back and taste them. Today I had the breakfast burrito, the cashier was very helpful and accommodating of some recent dietary restrictions I have developed, and she made me a great burrito! I swapped out the bacon for avocado (not normal for me, but like I said, dietary restrictions) and it was just as good as with bacon! My burrito has avocado, eggs, hash browns and tomatoes, and it was exactly what I needed. Good to note that the only bread option is sourdough, however, it is very tasty homemade and fresh sourdough, which is quite the treat. Unfortunately, not for me today, but I have enjoyed it in the past. I usually get to go and drive up the hill to picnic with a view, but I'm looking forward to eating in one day. That atmosphere is very cozy and calm, both the inside and the patio are nice. Speaking of atmosphere, I was happy to see many pride and pro LGBTQ flags in the restaurant, helping foster a welcoming environment for all. TLDR - 1. Good food , good coffee , very fair prices. Mostly serving sandwiches, pastries, coffee. 2. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and staff. 3. Big wine selection. 4. Cozy interior or nice patio for Al fresco dining.
