I recently had very bad experiences with other HVAC installation and repair companies. Between…read moregetting charged $3,000 every few months for, "topping off freon" (note: my system was installed new in 2018, so I'm not even sure if freon was the refrigerant the system needed), to proposing a $20k install of a new unit while mind was under warranty (twice), to claiming that my warranty was invalid until I set up an email thread with my HVAC company and my repair team to prove that my system was under warranty, to finally claiming that the local supply shop was "out of parts" for 6 months straight (I eventually called the shop, and they confirmed that they haven't been able to get a response from the repair team.). LONG STORY SHORT, I've been through HVAC hell, and finally decided to go with a new, local company with stellar reviews that recognized my system's warranty. Mario came to inspect the system, identified the repairs that needed to be made, was in and out within 2 hours only a day after I requested service, and not even $500 later I'm enjoying a cool, air-conditioned home. Extra points for not trying to upsell me on an entirely new system (lol - happened to me twice since buying my home, neighbors actually warned me about non-local HVAC companies), AND I can safely say that when I DO eventually need a new HVAC system, I'll be going with Manny's. To the team: You are doing things right. Between your expedient responses (even when my only free time is in the evenings), your honest, transparent communication, the fact that your repair man noticed my slippers and threw on booties before coming into the house, and your prices all denote S-Tier service. In this regard, Jesus came out to look at our AC system yesterday, which has been working only intermittently. Following a very thorough diagnostic assessment of the overall unit, Jesus suggested that we hold off installing any new parts at this time, as the system is somewhat old and doesn't provide any specifics concerning what needs to be replaced. Indeed, I appreciated Jesus's honest and straightforward assessment, as opposed to relying on guesswork to resolve the problem. At this point, I expect that we will likely be replacing our aging unit sometime this year....and, without a doubt, Manny's will be the company I call to do the job. Along with providing prompt and excellent service, the three technicians I've met from his company have all been very professional, courteous, and personable. Thus, for anyone in need of AC service, Manny's should definitely be the first business to call.

I hired Lions and they did some work to try to mitigate, but said that it would be a problem down the line. Down the line arrived and I called Lions back when my AC was dripping excessive water. Turns out it was toast and needed replacement. I got a quote for replacement from them quickly. I shopped around and theirs was a little higher than others (5-10%ish) but I felt they had a very thorough quote that explained every step they would do, so I went with them. For the install, it was easy/quick to schedule. They told me it would take 3 days. Lions sent their subcontractors who did a really good job. It took the full 3 days to do the full install, and they were quiet, efficient, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. They did not damage my paint or walls at all. During the work, they determined there would be incremental work needed to make the system work more efficiently. They ran everything by me and asked permission before, and quoted me the incremental costs. In the end, I felt like it was the right thing to do. They spent time making new vents and ductwork for me for what seems like a very small incremental price for the amount of work. At the end, I asked them to walk me through all the work on video to explain the system which they obliged happily. One note is that my building HOA is very strict about going on the roof and doing installs to avoid damage to void the roof warranty. The roofers said they would charge me an egregious amount to supervise the HVAC guys to make sure it was done right. Instead, I got permission from my HOA not to bring the roofers as long as Lions did not damage or modify the roof. I explained this to them and they did a perfect job reusing the old mounts so no roof modifications were needed, saving me some liability. In the end, the new AC unit works very efficiently quietly and has new features to prevent the same problems my last one had. New AC will burn a hole in your pocket no matter what, but I'm glad I had it done well by Lions.

I paid $11,000 for a job that really is substandard. 1. Danny came to do my quote and was very nice, but when actual installation came he was not onsite. A very young and inexperienced guy installed the units basically in the middle of the wall. I was not consulted asked before the guy tore huge fist size holes in my wall that are in no way standard placement for mini splits. The guy moved the unit, I had to pay for the walls to be repaired and repainted! 2. The condenser was placed on the ground in the driveway. Again--I was never consulted about where it was to be installed. It should have been installed on the side of the house--it limits the function of my driveway forever. I cannot get my recycling/trash out if I am parked in my own driveway. 3. The drains that were placed on the outer wall of my house were installed so poorly that they constantly fall off. They were not adhered at all. When I put them back up, they are fitted so shoddily that they cannot be secured. Every time I pick them up and try to reassemble them--I can see how jankily they were put together. One of them is now cracked and water is spewing all over my wall. For nearly $11K spent, I feel really taken advantage of and bad about the integrity of their work. I contacted them in advance of this review with all of these points--they never responded.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

I have been looking into solar for quite sometime because my electric bill is what some people pay for rent. There's so many companies who say they're the best and have the best panels blah blah blah. After exhausting presentations by slimey sales guys i was honestly about to scratch the whole idea. I finally was referred to Sol Reliable by a friend who installed a ground mount in Canyon country. This was a guy who was in the construction business for over 20yrs so I trusted his judgement. Anyway I met with a project manager name Tal and it was literally as if I was just hanging with an old buddy having a beer. I felt very comfortable like it was more of a conversation than a sales meeting. Hell I think we talked more about sports than solar. With that being said, he was definitely a knowledgeable guy and He didn't just throw big numbers out there. He actually broke down everything so I knew exactly where costs were coming from. The good thing about Sol Reliable is that they don't only do solar, they also do all home improvements so I was able to do my windows and kitchen as well. (Certainly earned some points with the wife there) I got all of this done for a very reasonable price. They're not the cheapest on the block but with the quality of their service you certainly get a lot of bang for your buck. Be careful in dealing with this company. They are unreliable and unprofessional. Two salesmen came out to my home to give me a quote for a new roof. I expressed from the beginning that I was interested in roof removal and replacement. They spent over an hour showing me materials, their licenses, pictures of other roofs that they had completed, etc. The two salesman went on and on about how my home needed upgrades and that I should refinance my home and take money out of my equity for these home improvements. They asked me if they could come back the following day with a Mortgage Broker to go over refinance options. I said I was unsure about the refinance but I was still interested in replacing the roof. We agreed on a price and they drew up a Contract. I signed it and gave them a check for $500. The salesman called me two days later to tell me that he would like to come over with his mortgage broker, I told him I was not interested in a refinance. The salesman came to my home that day with a roofer. When he arrived he was rude and would not make eye contact with me. They looked at my roof and left. I called him the following day and he said that he was not interested in completing the job that he had proposed in our Contract. He said he was under the impression that I was going to be refinancing and having more work done on my home immediately! I've never experienced this kind of business. We were thinking about going green on our energy consumption for w while until SolReliable knocked on our door and I thought of listening to them. After meeting with Nir, it gave me a better idea how this whole ting works. Nir is very knowledgeable and explained everything. He answered almost every question I asked while this was not the case with other companies. I gave SolReliable and myself a chance and started the project. I have to tell that I do not regret it. SolReliable did the whole energy upgrade on my house, solar panels using Cool PV systems, AC, tankless water heaters, and pool pumps as well as pool heater using Cool PV panels. He did an outstanding job. He does care about customers and he takes their concerns seriously. Anytime I had an issue all I had to do was give him a call. Within next few hours to a day, he fixed the problem and I was happy. I have to mention that I have dealt with other contractors and none of them is close to SolReliable and Nir. Two thumbs up for the fantastic job they have done. Just a few days ago LADWP changed my meter and I am officially a member of green family of the planet Earth. Wait for more updates on how my whole system works! The tankless water heaters work beautifully and it is just great! This is not the first time I' m dealing with this company, but this is the first time I'm dealing with their Solar division. I had their general remodeling division remodel my home and that's why I chose to hire them to install solar for my home. I had an energy bill that was coming in every month for over 400.00 and after a while the cost became very Over whelming. They came knocking on my door one afternoon to explain to me how solar water heaters are on demand and being able to get a big rebate. From there it was all great. Michael came to explain everything in detail, how and where the installation was going to be done, how the rebate was going to work along with the financing options. From there Alina took over letting me know when the installation crew would show up. After completion she also took care of the inspection as well as having the rebate documents sent. We are extremely happy with our new solar water heater, we have hot water all the time and the gas heater is just on pilot setting all the time. After my parents purchased a home a few years ago we noticed that it was time for a new roof. We of course delayed till it was too late and it started leaking. I reached out to Sol Reliable and they connected me to one of the managers by the name of allen ladd. He was able to provide me with so much information it put other companies to shame. What a Great company. I would recommend to all my friends and families and neighbors. My 6KW (Panasonic with solar edge inverters) system in Garden Grove is up and running with no issues. Allen Ladd is the best sale person and always there for questions even after the installation. The installation team was very professional. I got over 8 quotes for the same equipment and no companies came close to match their price. Plus with the professionalism and communication from Allen and the rest of the office staff, I'm so glad I decided to go with Sol Reliable. After install was complete there weren't any sneaky upcharges or anything which is a constant occurrence during construction. When I decided that It was time for me to upgrade my home into the 21st Century and have Solar panels installed in my house, I had contacted a few companies for Estimates.... After I Met Idan Edery from Solreliable, not only was I so impressed by the level of professionalism in which he presented himself and his company..... He made it so simple and easy to understand how using solar I could reduce and even eliminate my monthly electric bills.... I am so happy that I met yesterday with JACOB TANENBAUM,, Project Manager at Sol Reliable Green Energy Solutions. He is very knowledgeable, informative, friendly and experienced with not only the solar systems, but all energy-saving items related to our homes. He explained the benefits of getting new heating and air conditioning, water heating (tankles was a great suggestion), new "COOL ROOFING", new energy-saving windows, and many programs to help people obtain financing, tax credits, and credits earned by my extra solar-generated electricity, put back into the grid. After purchasing my rental property in LA my tenants started complaining about how high the electrical bill was. So I decided to go solar! After asking around, my friends recommended Sol reliable and a gentleman by the name of Allen Ladd. Bc I live on the east coast...having an hour sales pitch was not possible so we communicated via email and text message. He was very informative and gave me the pros and cons of leasing my system as opposed to purchasing. Fast forward six month later. Sol Reliable Inc did an excellent job installing our solar power system in North Hollywood . The company is gold standard for solar energy design and installation. The workers they sent over were very nice, pleasant and professional, and they kept the area neat while working. Tal Maimon (owner) was very helpful and always available to answer questions. The job went very well from start to finish. I give 6 start if I can.... I would recommend Sol Reliable to everyone, and would definitely use them again. I found Solreliable from yelp! It was not the cheapest, but it was the one that has all the government licenses and they carry the best panels Sunpower panels with solar edge inverters. In addition, they provide a 25 years warranty on the system! Allen Ladd was my solar consultant. He was always patient answering all of my questions. He responded my emails even at 10pm! I signed a contract remotely via docusign on 2/5 and I received PTO on 3/9! The system is running perfectly right now. I've been shopping around between Solar companies for a few years now. But I finally was able to pull the trigger on getting a new solar system that would save me a ton of money each month with a 4-5 year return on investment. I decided to go with Panasonic panels. With my work schedule I wasn't interested in sitting though another long pressured meeting. My sales reps name was Allen Ladd made this possible at my convenience. After nestling new solar panels on my roof my electricity bill changed drastically. I met with a gentlemen I met with was super professional and knew what we needed. he analyzed our electricity bill and gave me an estimate according to our need. It tool him about 10 days to finish the entire process with the paperwork with Edison and final roof touch ups. My house value has increased since I installed the panels on my roof. This definitely was a great decision. I really believe this company save your money and what makes me happy is that know Im doing something good to save the planet. read more

Great service by SolReliable from start to finish. I had the Cool Life Paint done. The job the painters did was great. I LOVE the results!! They arrived 9-7 I thought just for me to tell them the colors I chose. They told me the steps and next thing I knew they were getting to work taking down all the decorative items. The job was completed 9-14. Danny the Project Mgr kept me informed along the way and came by on 9-20 to have me sign the final paperwork and took some after pics. SolReliable is the first contractor that I have used that fully satisfied the contracted project on schedule, without complications, and delivered a clean and great installation. They replaced my furnace, air conditioner, air ducts, and cleaned up my attic isolation. They arrived on the scheduled day and time. They completed the installation of the furnace and air conditioner in one day and finished the attic isolation the next day as planned. I Spoke to Robert Bauer over the phone and even though I probably will not be using their service for fiscal reasons "Bobby" was an absolute pro! He was funny, engaging, and just an overall honest guy,. Even once you find a handful of companies with good ratings, if you have a smaller job/project, others can become unresponsive after initial requests and waste your time. But Sun Craftsmen were great. Their tech Luis came out almost same day, figured out a good solution and had a reasonable quote soon after. He was able to come out within days and complete the work efficiently without issue. Would definitely look to them again with any bigger projects in the future.

Trusted Path Roofing was working on a house nearby so I want and talked with one of the workers and got the manager to come take a look the next day. He immediately saw the cause and said it'd be a very quick and simple fix. He put me on their schedule a few days later. Victor came at the agreed time -- on time -- didn't have to nag! Woot! The fix was done very quickly, less than 30 minutes and for less than $100. When we got the leak a few weeks ago during the rains, I was so worried about getting it fixed, getting estimates the whole thinkg, you know what I mean right? Welp, this was as easy as it could have been. All the people I dealt with (Victor and Jose) we are professional as could be. I'm very glad to have met this company and will not hesitate to give them a call in the future as need may arise. Five stars. ALL. THE. WAY!

In late January 2022 I had a company "Stay Dry Roofing" come out to my Pasadena house to give me an…read moreestimate to replace roof shingles that had been damaged by the latest Santa Ana winds. I was under the impression that the company was a small family owned business but they were not. They were a large corporate with offices in cities all over SoCal. The rep from the company gave me an estimate of about $900.00 and stated that the earliest he could schedule me was a week away, and that the repairs would take 5 hours. He stated that he could schedule me in if I left a 40% deposit. I was not comfortable with the estimate, the scheduling, the request for a deposit for a minor roof repair, and I fact that I felt that they were trying to take advantage of me. I told them that I would think about it but I never called them back. I surfed the net and found Trusted Path Roofing which is a small family owned business from the Pasadena area. The reviews that they had were all very positive. I called Trusted Path Roofing and spoke to Hector who was nearby at another house giving an estimate. Hector told me that he could be at my house within an hour and he certainly was. Hector showed up with his brother and inspected the roof. Hector gave me an estimate of $150.00 and stated that he could do the repair the following day. Hector's brother showed up the next day and made the repairs in about 30 minutes. I went up on the roof with him and he pointed out all the repairs that he made. He also fixed a metal flashing that was bent and at the bottom of chimney stack. He also added a sealant to some exposed nails that had protruded out from the shingles. If not sealed, water could get under the nails and under the shingles, and cause damage. I advised the bother that prior to any major rain or storms, that I check my roof to see if any areas need to be sealed. The brother gave me two tubes of the sealant before he left in case I needed it in the future. I was so happy with the service that I gave the brother a tip before he left. I plan on replacing my roof within the next year and Trusted Path Roofing will be the 1st company that I will be calling when I want estimates. I was impressed by Hector and his company and would recommend them. They all seemed like very hard working and honest people.

We tried contacting a handful of other solar companies and either no one answered, returned our messages, or called us back. After a couple frustrating weeks we received a glowing recommendation for "Solar Tim" with Solarverse. He was easy to get a hold of, he promptly requested access to our app virtually and was able to get a technician out to our house within 2 days. Our tech, Noah, was great! He quickly found the problem, worked his magic, and replaced a micro inverter. Our system was back up and running perfectly within a couple of hours for a reasonable price! Enter Peter from Cervus Solar who had plenty of years of solar experience but no reviews to cross reference since he just started up his business. My initial thoughts was he was a bit over priced on his initial quote. When I pulled out quotes from other companies he looked at my information and told me he would call me back. An hour or two later I received a call from him with not only a better price than the competitor but also a bigger system. At this point my only concern was credibility and reviews. To ease my concerns Peter invited me to his new office. I took him up on that offer and could tell that he was very excited for his new business venture. Upon arrival to his new office I was very impressed with his operation. Peter is also a very personable guy so he's very easy to talk to. Once I was sold on his character, I took a leap of faith and booked his service for solar panel installation. During the permit process Peter stood on top of my city government to expedite the permits to the best of his abilities. I even contacted our cities permit group multiple times. Once permits and plans were approved, Peter swiftly scheduled solar installation within a week. The installation went smoothly and the quality of work is top notch. My best advice is to do your homework when it comes to solar. Meet with a few vendors and then give Peter from Cervus Solar a call. You'll be glad you did.

Turns out the marketing company jobs out to various subcontractors and it was the sub that was non responsive. I waited over six months from the time I signed the contract and provided a deposit and all they had to show was a guy coming out to work on a layout plan. Nothing ever submitted for permits. Long story short I had to contact their bond company to get them to respond and give me my deposit back. Peter and Cervus, on the other hand, were prompt, professional, and did everything they said they would, when they said they would do it. Peter was ahead of the game with permits and a pleasure to work with, as were all the installation staff. They were slightly higher in price than the first company but absolutely worth the stress-free job. I would certainly recommend Cervus.
