Finding the right fit is such a hassle. Every shop makes its own style and makes it different. Several girlfriends recommended I check this place after having zero luck finding a good fit. After brunch we made our way here and were greeted by Dawn who ended up supporting me through my entire shopping experience. I was hoping to just get measured and come back on my own time but my girlfriends insisted I take my time and did it. Dawn brought out several options based on my size and wants. She was able to really help me figure out the right fit for my needs. I did try it on over a shirt they had in store to make sure it was what I wanted. I found what I needed and was on my way. Also took advantage of the sale and picked up a couple options. Will return and add as I need more. Service was personable. Efficient. Store is clean. Tidy. The customer service is very bad and the young Asian girl at the register didn't move and didn't want to help me with finding sizes. The only thing i like about this place was the lady that helped me. She was amazing and did find me bras. I mean the bras was expensive and didnt have much options to choose from like cuteness wise. I did get mine on sale cuz id never pay full price for the bras, And definitely dont order online i got something onsale and the measurements was not even close to accurate and i did get measurements in store and got bras that did fit with that same size and online wasnt the measurements and i didnt get my money bak cuz it was final sale not really fair when theyre measurements arent correct but i noticed there definitely not gunna last long in the first place one already having issues lol But the lady was amazing and customer service was good. read more

The employee I first encountered did not seem enthused when I told her I wanted a bra fitting. She took a sip of her drink, then brought me to a mirror. No, "sure, I can help you with that." I was the one that suggested we do the measurements in the privacy of a dressing room. Then she told me I was 2 cup sizes larger than I am! When I told her I was definitely not the larger size, she said "I could be wrong." What? Aren't you supposed to know what you are doing?!? I later went to the larger department store nearby. I came here and had a great experience. The employee was nice and helpful (not as joyous and on top of things as I would have liked, but helpful and nice enough for sure). I am OBSESSED with the two bralettes I got after wearing them for a while now. I got the English Luxe Adjustable Bralette (fav) and the same bra but in a non adjustable version which is equally as amazing (just not adjustable). LOVE THESE BRALETTES!!!! Would buy in every color. Staple for sure. Also got the "Most Loved Cotton" Pajama top & bottom set in green and am in love. Wish the top was less boxy, but still got it. Pants fit PERFECTLY (waistband not too tight, pants not too long which surprised me). 5'4", 140-145 pounds right now, athletic build. Ladies! This is important. The sales reps that work here will ALWAYS tell you you're wearing the wrong bra size. They'll follow you around the store and try to shame you by saying that your bra doesn't fit. Once they see their wording has worked, they'll persuade you into allowing them to measure you. Then they'll say, "See, I could tell this bra doesn't fit you because of XYZ, but if they don't carry your true correct size, they'll put you in the WRONG size again just to make a sale which defeats the intended purpose. An example of this is, I'm a 36F, but Soma doesn't carry size F or FF so they'll tell you to get a smaller band and bigger cup or vice versa, a larger band and a smaller cup. They will attempt to convince you that it's the "same thing", but it's not. The point is, you're still wearing the incorrect bra size and now you're paying a lot to be in the wrong bra again. How does that make sense?! My advice is to learn to measure yourself correctly by finding a video with instructions online. Measure yourself every 6 months or at least yearly and find a store that carries all sizes like a large department store. Find a brand or two that you like and stick with it. Due to yelp policies, I can't state another business name, but I'm not talking about the store with pink all over it that would have you believe they're the only undergarment specialty in the world. Arm yourself with knowledge ladies, so that businesses with shady practices like these don't take advantage of you. You're welcome! read more

I came here a couple of weeks ago with my mom and the employees in here are super helpful, they asked if I wanted to get measured and I said sure and it turns out I'm a completely different size than what VS was telling me, and a good tip one of the employee gave me was the breasts are suppose to fall into the cups and it should not be popping out of the bra or being squished out of it. After trying on the bra she had me try on it felt so much better and it held onto the breasts more comfortable and not squishing it against me. Their bras are super comfortable and they last!! I am very disappointed that my entire order was sent wrong. I went to the store to make the claim and I wanted to get what I ordered, and it was not like that. They returned my money and told me to reorder them. The problem is that there is no longer what I wanted, and some prices have changed. And the time I wasted doing my order was useless. I thought about one star but decided to give two only because when I did have the bra it was amazing and comfortable but only a few months after buying it the wire snapped and upon asking what they could do about it they informed me there is nothing that can be done. If your product can't last longer than a few months before breaking you are not a company that I have faith in. For the amount of money I spent on a bra I would expect it to hold up better or at the bare minimum for them to offer some kind of a return or exchange or discount when something does malfunction. The manager at this place SUCKS!!!! Didn't at all feel welcomed. Her customer service was terrible. If you're unhappy at what you're doing and where you're working but NEED THE JOB, work in the back of the store not the front. This is a review for their online store and apparel. I just ordered more pieces of the Cool Nights sleepwear. After wearing the knit crop PJs (with pockets, yay!) Their customer service could use some help. Walked in Thursday afternoon because I was in the mall and could use a properly fitted bra. Figured what I had didn't work perhaps they had some sales or at least an educated associate to size properly. The two women working seemed less than thrilled to help. One didn't stop leaning on the counter. They both just stared. Then the one woman says. " go In fitting room take off your shirt" not a smile. Not a question regarding my needs. Nothing. Walks in measures me and says I'm a 36D. Now I to rely understand each store measures differently. But I have oddly small ribs and I'm definitely a 32. I tell her it seems too big but she brings back the 36. As soon as she walks out I hear the one woman say oh ya could have guessed that Ok... whys that ? What's that based on? I'm wearing an oversized top and you quite literally have no idea what size I am by staring at me. Try it on and what a shocker the 36 is way too big. On a girls night out for food and shopping, me and the girlies made a stop at Soma Intimates. It was awesome!!! The customer service members were very nice. There was one girl whom seemed to be annoyed cause they were asking her to take her break. Its important to take them so you or the company won't get in trouble. I understand she might have had a lot to do, but when you super express that you should take your break...don't argue. LOL back to the service!! The lady who helped us i believe was Jennifer! She was awesome in helping my friends pick out the right size and comfort fitting undergarments. So the customer service could use improvement for sure. If you're not young, blonde, OR super wealthy looking you probably won't be greeted. I was ready to purchase 2 bras and the manager's left me standing in front of the register (nobody else was in the store) for a good 3 minutes as they tried to figure out the next fixture or whatever. I have good experiences at this Soma. I am a woman who is very endowed. This means that finding a useful, well-fitted, comfortable, and cute bra is a nightmare. Soma is my new regular place to fill my needs.They carry a large spectrum of sizes and all of their lingerie is attractive at the least. The staff is helpful. I always need to be sized and asked for help choosing something for my lifestyle. Although the sizing is usually measured incorrectly (something that happens to me just about everywhere), the staff always chooses something that I like in a short amount of time. I work the sales because it can be pretty pricey in there. When a good sale is happening, I feel that I get a relatively good deal . I love this bra! This is my third Enhancing Shape bra. I look great in T-shirts, any shirt or sweater actually with this fantastic bra. I really like the feature that helps keep this bra smooth with no bunching or gaps right by the arm straps. It is comfortable as well, as um, uplifting. ;) I caught myself in a store mirror while wearing this bra and I loved the way it made me look. Today I had put another bra on, saw myself in the mirror and changed to one of my Enhancing Shape bras! Order Online or Shop at one of their stores, in Monterrey or in San Jose at Valley fair. I responded no, following with I usually wear a size 40C or 40D. She measured me at...drum roll... A 36C? I had her remeasure...36C. I chose a few bras, she pulled the 36Cs. I heard good things about Soma and how fittings were professional and so on, so I visited the location at Valley Fair. I feel a cross between outraged and disappointed. I asked for a fitting. The salesperson loosely measured me over my shirt and declared that I was a 36A or B. I told her that was wrong and she insisted and left to bring me several bras that size. When she got back, I told her they were way too small. I showed her the bras I got at Nordstrom but the size was unusual: 34H (which might be specific to that brand?) She said the store didn't carry that size, so I explained that I should probably be a 34DDD. I shouldn't have to tell a bra fitter what size I am. She asked what size I usually wear, so I said 36DD...but those were not working for me, and even though I just got fitted at Nordstrom, it didn't translate into other brands' sizing, which is why I chose to get fitted again just in case. So she brought me a bunch of DD and I left because those don't fit. If they didn't have my size, I would have appreciated being told that. Did she assume that because I'm Asian, that I must be a small cup size?!?! That is the only reason I can think of because anyone who can see will notice I am not an A or B cup. For the sake of future customers, please train your salespeople not to profile customers' sizes based on their race. That's bad for business. read more

I was here today and received exceptional service from Jennifer. I had randomly ordered two bras online and they ended up not really fitting correctly so I came to return or exchange them. I asked Jennifer to pretty much bring me the whole-nine yards which she happily did. She was super sweet the entire time (even though I asked her to bring like 3 sizes of about 5 bras I liked). She was not pushy at all nor did I ever feel like she was being fake nice/helpful. I was able to speak to her the same way I would speak with a friend. She really knew the different styles and how they would fit my body. I ended up buying 3 different styles and 2 nightgowns. I'm really hoping this will be a good replacement to Victoria's Secret - their stuff has turned to sh1t the past few years. read more

Despite the bad reviews, I have to give this place at least 3 1/2 stars. I walked in here looking for some bras and the service was great. The ladies were attentive and made sure to pull several bras for me in my size. The sales associate that was helping me gave me her honest opinions on the bras that I tried on. While none of them worked out (that wasn't her fault), she still made a huge effort trying to find one that would. I told the sales associate that I was going to Nordstrom's to try out some bras over there instead and she was totally okay with it. You know how sometimes sales associates make you feel guilty for not buying? Well that was not the case here. She was pleasant and made the whole in store experience great. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're a 40" band or above. All of the larger bras are kept in the back, so you can't even see what they have. Could be the larger sizes of the bras on the sales floor are kept back there to make room? But I really don't know since the associate didn't explain anything to me. I was sized, and then she just gave me a bunch of bras from the back room to try on that I didn't even see on the sales floor. When I tried to go back out front to see if there was a style I liked out of what was on display, she just told me that wasn't my size and gave me more bras I didn't like from the back. It was then I realized that they don't even keep larger than 38" on the sales floor to look at, which again, wasn't explained to me. I was pretty much emotionally done after that and just left. I mean, I feel bad because she was the only person working there from the looks of it and there were other customers, and she was sort of trying to help. But it would have been nice if she explained to me how it all worked, especially since this was my first time there, and this kind of shopping makes me feel self conscious already. I left feeling really disheartened as I was really hoping to find a few nice pieces for myself and not have to go to Victoria's Secret. Overall, I might be willing to try this brand again maybe at a different location, and maybe if they will actually put larger sizes on the sales floor, and not in some back room. If I could, I would give them negative stars! Today my friend and I went into the Soma at Westfield Valley Fair. Upon walking in we observed 3 employees all sitting behind the counter. They barely acknowledged our presence. As we wandered around the store they continued their discussion of another employees constant no show, no call and were discussing when the employee might be fired. I began assisting my friend since obviously the employees couldn't be bothered. Eventually asked for assistance in checking to see what colors they might have in the specific style and size my friend needed. The associate begrudgingly left her gossip session and asked what color we wanted. I again asked if they could simply bring out whatever colors they had in the needed size of the specific style. Again she asked but what color? I said it's not a difficult request, any color in the size and style we wanted. She became quite rude and which point we walked out. I imagine there are others who have experienced the poor customer service we received. It's disappointing when paying customers are treated so poorly. Hopefully management realizes that such poor staff are losing them sales and makes the needed changes. Unfortunately I will NEVER return to this store. read more

I must be at a different Soma because these reviews are WAY off. First of all, I was greeted immediately at the door. I didn't get measured because I stay really consistent with my sizes. To be honest Soma is for a different kind of crowd. My friend and I went there and she's a 34A and nothing fit her, nothing worked out for her. Whereas I, a 34D/36C found what I was looking for :) and everything fit perfectly! Prices are a lot cheaper than Victoria's Secret but they hardly have any cute designs for bras. Again, I could care less but if this bothers you then try somewhere else. Service was so good it was almost creepy how the woman waited on me hand and foot so to speak. Wow I wish I had the same thing to say about Soma that the last review said. I was in the mall today and couldn't find the store so I called, the phone must've rang 30 times I finally hung up. When I found the store a few minutes later both girls were on their cell phones interesting why they couldn't pick up the business phone. Neither one of them was helpful and the Supply of inventory Was horrible. I use to buy all my pajama tops and bottoms there but there were none to be found. I am reviewing the Soma Intimates store in Novi MICHIGAN. This is a beautiful store with nice, higher priced merchandise. So I expected the service to match. Not even close. Very poor service. The sales staff on 2 occasions failed to be friendly and helpful. I am not sure how they make sales at this location. I returned 4 bras due to fit issues and did not receive an apology, offers of help or any interest in the reasons for fit problems. Poor eye contact and zero help. So strange! I visited Soma for the first time today and received excellent service from Lorena. I was promptly greeted when I walked in and Lorena fit me for a bra. What was awesome is that she brought in several styles for me to try and checked out the fit for me. When the first size didn't work, she brought in a different size that fit perfectly. I ended up finding a style I really liked. Even better, they had a 2 for $60 deal plus 15% off! Pretty good deal for bras. The only reason I'm not giving Soma 5 stars is because I didn't like the majority of styles they offered. However, I think a lot of those style would be a good pick for bustier or more mature ladies. read more

One person asked me if I needed help and after I was there for 10 mins, she showed me where the dressing room was. No one checked on me while I was trying on bra's and I ended up walking out. I've purchased bras here twice but never again. The selection is poor and the bras are ill fitting. The prices are above average and customer service is awful. Here's my experience The first time the sales lady recommended I buy a band size larger than I wear. I listened to her and now the bras (2) are way too big. The second time I finally got the size I should've gotten but since the first two stretched out so much I decided to bring back for exchange. Since it was over 30 days they wouldn't take the return. -not even for exchange even though my return was for an item that is currently full price at the store. I asked about the bras that stretched too much and she basically said they have no warranty and they've been worn (duh!). Even though it was their salesperson who suggested that size. So there. They lost a customer and earned a well deserved bad review. Anyway since I'm forced to keep the bad bra, and I will not shop there again I guess we will never know if their bras had better quality than the ones I have read more

The staff were nice and the store was clean however the bra that I spent $60 on only 6 months ago is already falling apart. I wash it in a mesh bag and let it air dry but the seams in the middle are breaking. I tried contacting Soma to let them know because I expected such an expensive bra to last longer than 6 months, however all they had to say was they have a 60 day guarantee and can only exchange it within that time frame. I went in to buy a gift card and the girl at the counter couldn't find one and tried to give me a "merchant credit" one. I finally pointed out where the real gift cards were, then it took over 15 minutes and she still didn't know how to put money on it. I finally left and just got a gift card at Victoria's Secret. I was not happy with their service. It seemed like they weren't helpful at all when I needed their help. I bought a lot of stuffs for my mom not for myself. They chose wrong ones, then later on I found out so I wanted to return them and they blamed me that "oh I want it like that". I thought in my head that "what the hell??!!!". I was in Valley Fair the other night and had to walk passed the store. I noticed that the manger I was told was let go after my last and final shopping trip was not only not let go was still employed! I agree with Vanessa and Rennea, They have NO customer service skills. I am very sad to see that what I was told by the headquaters seems to be just fluff. I have asked them 3 times to remove me from the mailing list. Oh and the best part was when i called the have myself removed I was told they already had.
