Great place in York! Very cool tap room, really good beers, and friendly and accommodating staff. This place is far better than it should be for a small little southern Maine coastal town. York is my favorite place on the planet, and this place only makes it better.

Great place to sit back and enjoy a beverage. They have some outdoor seating. No food is available to purchase. My family loved the different varieties of beer and have a few favorites now. They also have live music on certain dates inside. Plenty of parking.

We had 8 2 ounce tasters. Erin has the rub of milk stouts known as Whoopie Pie Stout. All our good. The Whoopie AF is down to the last keg so supplies are limited for this rotational. I had a set of IPAs and preferred the flagship Apostrophe IPA. There is a parking lot converted to a nice outdoor tasting room to enjoy the sunset.

Stopped in on a whim to have my first flight of 2021. Staff was friendly and the inside of the tasting room was really cool. SoMe had a broad selection of beers on draft and plenty of to-go and merch options as well. Bathroom was clean and COVID precautions were taken seriously. The prices were reasonable as well. Beers were good but none really blew me away. Great taco place next door to take out and eat a the brewery. Excellent space for outdoor seating with heat lamps as well!

I think this just became my favorite brewery. My friend and I stopped here with our dogs after hiking Mt Agamenticus (about 15 minutes away) and what a great idea it was! This brewery has it all - a good selection of beer (including a sour beer, my personal fav), a really neat/inviting atmosphere, dog friendly (indoor and out), board games, outdoor seating, hot pretzels. I got a flight to try 3 different beers out. They have beer in cans available for purchase and special deals (I think something like grilled burgers and brews for 10$ was going on yesterday) Very reasonable prices here. My favorite thing about this brewery was the culture - everybody was so friendly. We ended up striking up conversations with the employees and other customers. I also liked the little flower arrangements on the tables because I am a sucker for things like that. Highly, Highly recommend!

SoMe has a ton of great options and variety! They are also the parent brewery of York Beach Brewing and you can get their beers here as well. One thing I personally enjoy if they do mixed 4 packs! Plenty of sunny outdoor seating as well

W O W / Coming from Cincinnati, where breweries are on every corner... this place is unbelievable! I was completely blown away by the selection and unique tastes of all the different beers! A quaint little spot, friendly faces and delicious beer! 10/10 ABSOLUTELY would recommend

Great little brewery with a lot of character. They had ten beers on tap and all of them were excellent. The Junction was delicious, I definitely recommend it! The space itself was small but cozy with a lot of tables. They have a seating area outside as well. They have a lot of board games, cards, and a foosball table. Stopped by only to try their flight but ended up staying for two hours! The bartenders were friendly and the service was awesome. Also pet friendly! If you are looking for a place to chill with a couple of friends and drink some really good beer, this place is definitely for you. You wont regret it!

I love finding great craft beer places that are enthusiastic about what they do and in turn, put out great product. SoMe (SouthMaine) is one of those places. A little tough to find since they are around back from the main street but certainly worth making an effort to get here. Our host was very enthusiastic and was happy to tell us and the other couple in there about the brews. She was quite a talker but infectious! We got to sample a couple of the 8 beers on tap before we went to our selections for our tasting flight. Of course we had to sample the Whoopie Pie Stout. Infused with cocoa and vanilla it made an interesting start to our tasting although we opted not to include it in our flight. Not sure I could drink a whole pint of that. We loved the Apostrophe IPA. I could drink a few of those. The Dent Head was a nice Hefeweizen and a great summer beer for sure. With 8 beers on tap, I'm sure you could find something you like here. And they sell steamed hot dogs if you're hungry. Extra points for the baskets of free chips and pretzels. You could spend some serious time here!

They also have an awesome variety of cocktails on tap, including espresso martinis. My sister and I decided to order prosecco with a strawberry kiwi ice cube inside. This was such a good idea and the drink just kept getting yummier as the ice melted. I would definitely return to order this. We also ordered their Sunday sauce beer which we didn't particularly enjoy, but it was fun to try. The ambiance of the brewery was also very nice. It was very clean inside and they really lean into the industrial brewery vibe. They had outdoor seating, which we took advantage of since the weather was so nice. The only thing about the brewery is that it's so close to the ocean but the ocean isn't visible at all. The outdoor patio is situated at a busy crossroads and none of the charming center of town or ocean are visible. You kind of have to remove yourself from your beach vacation when you walk through the doors.

The food was from a food truck, cannot remember the name but tasty lobster rolls and clam chowder. We went for trivia night but missed the piano bar the next night. We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons.

Definitive in Portland is an absolute favorite of my wife and I! We had our first unofficial date there, made many trips to try new beers as well as had our engagement photos taken there as well! Definitive did recently announce their closure of this location recently and my wife and I were free this weekend for their last weekend open. We made time to get down here to visit the spot as we had never checked out this location. If I was rating solely off of beers I would give five stars for the quality and taste. They have some delicious sours and make a good variety of styles. Only knock on their beers would be they have not made as many new beers over the past couple years. The downgrade from five stars into four stars comes down to the location itself. While I am understanding that due to space constraints it is more limited for space here it is overall a more disappointing space when you compare it to Portland. They do still have a patio available but the size is so small compared to Portland. The overall inside vibes are just not as nice either. This was a great spot to get all of those visiting the tourist heavy area of Kittery but I would take the Portland location everyday! Overall though it is a shame to see a brewery location closing in our great state of Maine especially a location of a brewery that is a favorite of my wife and I!

It wasn't my preferred type of beer, but I found it tasty and refreshing. The next morning at breakfast at a restaurant in town, there were small signs on the table for their beers. So that afternoon, I went to Liar's Bench for lunch. I appreciate the messages the universe had sent me. Apart from a challenge getting parking at lunchtime, with several spots in the lot reserved for nearby Murray's Plumbing, there's much to like about Liar's Bench (and that's no lie). The beer selection is varied enough that I was able to get a very satisfying flight. My local friend had suggested I order whatever was the chef's special of the day (which today was a specialty burger), but we instead opted for the BBQ platter for 2, with a large amount of pulled pork, slaw, potato salad, and Texas toast. We sat at the bar and had great service and conversation. I can see why this is a popular lunch destination. Another bonus for me is that Liar's Bench is the closest brewery to a hotel at which I often stay when I'm in Portsmouth, making this a new destination for me when I'm in the area.
