We decided to do the feed me which is a course meal. We got 7 courses which we got to try everything. I loved all of the courses and I loved the different variety of ingredients and flavors that there was. The beets blew me away and the sauce that it came was, was amazing. I could eat the whole bowl. I really enjoyed the vegan cakes also it was delicious and filling. The gnocchi sauce is a brown gravy sauce with Caramelized onions it tasted so meaty and delicious. The rigatoni sauce was delicious also The tiramisu was a little heavy for me, I didn't really enjoy it so much as I thought I would. For me, this was a like, not a love, but I think that speaks way more to my personal preferences than to quality. Somebody People is teeny tiny but they make good use of the space and infused a lot personality. The design style is what I like to call Aggressively Quirky which isn't necessarily my taste, but it contributed to a playful, light mood. The food was solid but overall not super remarkable for me. Our table ordered the Feed Me option which I'd highly recommend for your first time, plus a couple of extras. Here's what we had: - Arancini - Excellent mix of textures with a crispy fried panko exterior and flavorful creamy rice inside. The salsa that came with it was clutch and added a perfect touch of brightness. If I came back for just one bite, it would probably be this. - Cucumbers - A simple dish but fresh, bright, and yummy. A great plate to progress to after the arancini. - Tomatoes - Yummy but if I'd paid $14 for this dish straight up, I probably would've been disappointed. Tomatoes are at their peak right now so that does a lot of heavy lifting on its own. The sourdough croutons were very good. - Carrots - This one was a let down. Roasted carrots can be so delicious but this just didn't taste like much to me. There was a kick of spice from the salsa verde but otherwise relatively bland. - Polenta - Hard pass on this. The polenta cake was dry and crumbly. The caponata was more bitter than anything else. Skip. - Rigatoni - Spicy, savory tomato sauce perfectly coating toothsome tubes of rigatoni. A satisfying entree. - Cabbage - I probably would've enjoyed this more if it had come earlier in the meal but I was honestly so full by this point that I couldn't appreciate the perfunctory bite I took. - Pineapple Cake - Mmmm. I was way too full to be eating this but that coconut caramel was irresistible. The cake itself was dense and would for sure have blocked your airway if eaten on its own, but combined with the pineapple, whip, and caramel, it made my second stomach come to life. - Banana brownie ice cream - This was alright for me but my table-mates LOVED it. Definitely not for the banana averse. - Complimentary prickly pear sorbet and guava pate de fruit - just a nice touch! Service was generally friendly, very hipster, and a little bit too soft spoken on occasion, but I respect the effort. I believe our complimentary desserts were brought out by a manager who was fun to chat with and who brought energy that matched the vibe of the decor. We added the arancini, polenta, and banana ice cream to the prix fixe menu so without those it came to 6 dishes which, along with the complimentary bread, would be plenty to have you leaving with a full belly, despite my misgivings about the menu having evidently no meaningful sources of vegan or vegetarian protein. There's a new plant-based restaurant in Denver! Somebody People opened just over a month ago on South Broadway, and their food is sensational. Denver now has a restaurant to rival places like Pure Food and Wine in NYC or Vedge in Philadelphia. Restaurateurs Tricia and Samuel Maher have created a gourmet plant based menu from fresh, pure ingredients. No processed food products here - only veggies, seeds, and mushrooms with lots of fresh herbs and lots of olive oil. As befits a Mediterranean themed menu... Besides local produce, the chef has also incorporated authentic Mediterranean ingredients like sumac and za'atar in a tapas style menu. Somebody People serves seasonal small plates ranging from olives to salads to pasta, fabulous desserts, and cocktails made with juice that is pressed to order. If you have the time, go for the "Feed Me" tasting menu. For $35 you get six courses selected by the chef - a much better deal than ordering a la carte, especially if you're feeling indecisive. Better yet, bring a few friends and just order everything on the menu. Tapas are meant for sharing, after all. Make sure you bring an appetite...and a to-go container. The small plates at Somebody People are really not so small, and they are so tasty you won't want to leave even a little bit behind. With your reservation confirmation, Somebody People advises you to bring your own to-go container for any leftovers, as they do not offer to-go containers. So do your part to cut down on single-use packaging and on food waste while enjoying a tasty lunch later in the week. Somebody People cares about all the small details. Water is served in beautiful bubbly pink glasses, and there's no extra charge for sparkling - they have it on tap! Fresh olive bread from a local bakery is presented in reusable "paper" bags. Place settings are all colorful vintage Fiestaware, with lots of flamingo pink and mint green. If you order dessert, you'll get to eat out of an adorable stemmed ice cream dish. That chocolate tahini dessert - OMG! My favorite savory dish was the pickled cabbage with Calabrian chilies, orange, and mint. The grilled mushrooms are divine. Likewise the grilled romaine. I'd never had grilled romaine before, and I was impressed. The sunflower seed hummus and almond skordalia were both delicious, especially with the olive bread. The only dish that was not to my liking was the funghetto with carrot bolognese - I much preferred the rigatoni with pesto. I have been to Somebody People about 5 times now and have never been disappointed. From the kindness of the staff, to the consistent quality of their food and drinks, this is a place I will always bring my non vegan friends to get a taste of fresh and flavorful veggie forward food! As a tip, the Feed Me pre-fixe is beyond worth it. Their menu rotates seasonally which makes the pre-fixe slightly different year round to mix things up. You pay $40 for the most amazing fresh spread of food. Let me tell you, A STEAL. My highlights have always been their bread service, and cabbage. I can't explain how good the cabbage is, you truly just need to try it. Their current Feed Me was a tomato soup, pickled vegetables, toasted bread, followed by an eggplant and cabbage dish (always a 10/10), the freshest arugula salad and a spicy tomato pasta, finished with a lemon basil sorbet. I cannot say enough nice things about somebody people. Their seasonal rotations make coming here fun and exciting and the food is always unique and outstanding. Last night I took my friend here for the first time and typically I do the "feed me" option but we weren't terribly hungry so we just decided to try a few things. We started off with the cabbage that came with a soy cream and Jalepeno emulsion that was so interesting but so delicious. For our mains we shared the Orchiettie and the mafaldine pasta and I'm so glad we had both. The Orchiettie came with pesto and crispy chick peas that were so good with the pasta. It was my first time trying mafaldine and the pasta is so good with such a unique texture and paired so well with the sunchoke cream sauce they had on it. My only complaint is I wish there was more cauliflower mixed into it as I feel you can never had enough veggies. But in both dishes the taste was 10/10. We ended the night with their tahini chocolate cookie and all I can say is OMG! The tahini makes the cookie so moist and the flavor was so delicious. I wish we had gotten more! Finally, we shared a carafe of the house red which was just fine, a little sour in my opinion but they don't make the wine so can't hold it again them. 4.5 stars. I gotta say that I was pleasantly surprised by this place as I wrote it off as just another trendy spot, which Denver seems full of. A blessing and a curse depending on where you go. Highly recommend getting a reservation, for starters. We reserved a 8:45pm spot to get food after a friend's late arrival into town, and even with closing at 10 the place was packed. Parking is pretty easy; there's space in the back for retail-specific parking. Somebody People will validate your app but it's all via your phone and a QR code. DO NOT pay via the QR code sign by the parking spots! When you go inside the restaurant, there's a sign sitting in the window with the QR code you need. If you can't find it, just ask one of the bar/waitstaff. We started off with some drinks while we waited, which were incredible. I got the La Pomona with genever, pear brandy, and spiced vermouth, followed by the Summer Song with forthave blue gin, hibiscus, orange, and aperol. Be warned: the Summer Song is tiny but mighty. I could easily sip on it like juice all night and regret it the next day. They also serve non-alcoholic drinks that look just as delicious. While you can order a la carte, we all opted for the Feed Me option. Started with a round of delicious focaccia bread followed by the mafaldine and farinata. Next was the asparagus and cucumbers (LOVED the fried rice bits in this!), then the fiorentini, and lastly the manicotti. Dessert was the divine tiramisu. I personally don't focus on a veg/vegan diet, but I was not left hungry nor disappointed. The flavors were delicious, everything was cooked well, with perfect portions for our group of 5. The only reason I knock a half star is that the dishes can be a bit heavy on the oil (we were able to convince the waitstaff to bring another plate of focaccia to sop it up, otherwise you only receive one plate of the bread). A really innovative find in the vegan restaurant space. There aren't a ton of solely vegan food establishments in Denver, but this one is doing such a good job. I appreciate it feels like your normal classy restaurant (with a little flair!), but you end up having an entirely vegan meal. He makes us feel like celebrities every time we visit, but we've had others and they all honestly give the best service we've received in Colorado. Very trendy and fun restaurant with kind staff and delicious vegan and gluten free foods. My party of 4 decided to try this place for brunch on a Sunday morning. We made a reservation for 10:30am and there was plenty of seating. More people actually arrived for tradition lunch service time. Immediately the wait staff were attentive, kind, conversational, and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super interesting. There are a lot of mid century colors, designs, and artwork inside. We appreciated the color scheme penetrating down to the plates and napkins. The menu is well sized, well priced, and had many options. We ordered the matcha, latte, and screw driver as beverages. The matcha had a too overpowering oat milk flavor instead of matcha, and the latte and screwdriver were standard. For food we ordered the potatoes, cinnamon roll, scone, tomato toast, farinata, and rotolini. I'd recommend the tomato toast for quality tomatoes, pesto, arugula, on top of a sourdough bread. The farinata was unique and tasted like a potatoey quiche. The cinnamon roll is a great sweet snack, though the scone did not have much taste in the bread, and was saved by the peaches on top. This was easily the best vegan meal I've ever had. Very twee little restaurant with lovely staff. The "feed me" tasting menu experience was wonderful. Every dish was unique and flavorful. Unapologetically vegetable forward without feeling like I was eating an artificial facsimile of meat. You don't miss the meat or dairy in these dishes. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll go back. The place is so extremely loud that you can't hear the person next to you and you need to speak your orders directly into the server's ear. The louder the music, the louder the the guests got, trying to speak over the music. I looked around the room and noticed everyone was trying to hear each other. We would have loved to discuss how wonderful the food was at our table, but we simply gave up. We might of stayed for dessert, but we really wanted to get out of the place because the place was so unpleasantly loud. Parking was a bit perplexing. Maybe the information is on the Somebody People website, or printed on a sign in the parking lot, but we came in two cars and saw no mention of the parking instructions. Note to future patrons: you can park in the "retail parking" behind the restaurant, but you need to bring your license plate number into the restaurant with you, scan the code at the restaurant door and input the information. It does get a bit loud but I will not hold that against the restaurant. The staff was very attentive, answered all our questions patiently, took good care of us throughout the evening. The main reason we choose this place was that they didn't have fake meat dishes (which isn't necessarily bad) but just good tasting whole food plant based items. This is somewhere you take people you care about, that you want to show a good time and fill their bellies with good food from people that take a lot of time and care in offering up not just a great meal but a great experience. The lighting is hip, the aesthetic is clean but quirky, and the staff really take the time to walk you through the meal, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the time with your friends or loved ones. The food is well-balanced and thoughtful (from a flavor/texture standpoint) and the Sunday Dinner is the ultimate way to sit down and let the wait staff and the kitchen do what they do best. I do think there is a little extra love in the food due to the plant-forward nature of the establishment, eating so good guilt-free just tastes that much better. TL;DR Meat eater or vegan, just go. So this place gets 5 stars, 4 for being good, 5 for being good AND vegan. My gf is trying to go vegan for ethical reasons and the last time we went out she was only able to get $14 avocado toast... I had heard about somebody people and suggested it for our next outing. Let me start with vegan/vegetarian restaurants largely disappoint me because they try to remake stuff you ate when you weren't vegan, vegan. The cheese is never going to happen. Never. We did the tasting courses for the table; kept it easy peasy. We started with a delicious soup and fresh bread. Awesome! Then beets and arancini. All things that translate into vegan/vegetarian perfectly. Then salad and pasta. The pasta had a bit of a balsamic vibe so cheese would have been weird on it and therefor not even missed! There were also ample delic alcohol and non alcohol bevvies. I did the wine pairing, which wasn't so much a pairing as I had multiple glasses at one time... the wines were good but vegan wine isn't hard. My gf had a non alcoholic beer which I couldn't have told you the difference between it and it's fully leaded brother. So dessert. One was a cake and the other, pot de creme. Now, once I saw creme in the name I was dubious to say the least. Welp, as with everything else, it was delicious with a totally pot de creme consistency. Sorcery. They also had cashew whipped "creme" which had the perfect consistency as well with a little flavor that still worked with the dessert. THEN we got chocolate chip cookies, which were soft and super chocolatey, also vegan AND gluten free.... they were amazing and I don't know how they did it, but it gives me hope for the future of vegan/vegatarian/lactose/gluten specialty peeps in Denver. Made reservations for the 2 outdoor tables outside a week before for 6 people and didn't have any problems. Walked in and knew right away it was a trendy hot spot. Let me just say I left stuffed. Everything was full of flavor and fat. Potatoes will dill and a "sour cream" sauce? Give me more. "Pasta" with mushrooms? Yes please. Heads up! I'm a total meat eater and not the highest fan of vegetables. This place was AMAZING!! Every bite of every dish was that unbelievably incredible. We ordered the Feed Me where you get a tasting of several dishes. For $42 per person it was well worth it. Parking is right behind the building and it's free with validation. Highly recommend the Sunday supper it's a staple vegan option in Denver!! We had no expectations but they were for sure exceeded! I don't even like melon but the melon salad appetizer was phenomenal and truly my favorite dish of the night! The cocktails are also magical and recommend anything on the menu! read more

Wow, the food is amazing here with a casual date night ambiance. We went for the "Feed Me" which is a full table experience. The soup was my favorite along with the pasta. This place is special. It has all the homey feels. And maybe a home that sits within a hippie commune. The undeniable passion is what I loved most about my experience here. Our server Jonathan was connected to the food. He truly lit up when there was a chance to discuss the locally sourced seasonal produce, and the mission of the restaurant he so clearly feels a part of.
