I came with a group of friends (some vegan, some omnivore) for the Sunday Supper menu and we all agreed that our meal was out of this world good! The Sunday Supper menu is six chef-curated courses for $38 a person, served family style. Everything was spiced exceptionally well and there was plenty of food for everyone. Our menu was southern inspired featuring: -sourdough bread with strawberry preserves and cinnamon/maple "butter" -Mac salad (similar to a deli counter mayo based macaroni salad but totally vegan) -Roasted potatoes with an apple cider vinegar sauce -Baked beans with lions mane mushrooms -Fried eggplant with mashed potatoes, charred green beans and gravy -S'mores mousse with vegan marshmallow and graham cracker cookies The ambience is adorable, between lots of plants, cool murals, and dim lighting with a few neon signs. I think I may have just found the low key best restaurant in Denver. We've been to a lot of places. Some of the absolute best food in New York, Chicago, and certainly during my many stays in Denver. There's no shortage of excellent places to choose from in this city, ranging from fine dining to incredible bar food. Somebody People is fine dining creativity and quality with your local tavern pricing, especially for the Sunday Supper, just $35 per person. Since everything is sourced fresh, chef prepares a special meal on Sundays based on things the farms they work with have surplus of, or what they think they may have extra to work with. The concept planning begins on Monday, ready for an incredible feast on Sunday. I could talk about everything we had, an absolutely incredible, complex, deeply rich in flavor meal all around. But, let's highlight a few stars: - The sourdough. Yes, the sourdough, essential sourdough focaccia, light and airy with a perfect crust. Insanely delicious with the meyer lemon olive oil it's served with - The chinese eggplant. Perfect. Paired with tomato, basil, and chive, immense flavor in such basic ingredients. And that's the thing, there's nothing to stand behind here, just the freshest of ingredients with perfect execution. - The delicata squash. I am still wracking my brain about how they made a completely plant-based vanilla custard cake that luscious, both corn and asparagus dishes with so many layers of flavor, and a spicy cashew cream pasta that smooth and decadent. I came here just for a drink (best dirty martini) and we ended up craving food! The bartenders are very attentive and listen to what you want your drink to taste like. While this restaurant is all vegan, I'd recommend to anyone (vegan or not!!). You can order a la carte or the "Feed Me" option and I definitely would choose the Feed Me if I were you! Such a funky and trendy spot! I stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday night at around 5:30. The restaurant was fairly empty so I felt silly making a reservation, but by 6:15, there was not an open seat left -- I definitely recommend snagging a reservation. I went with the Feed Me menu to sample a bunch of different things on the menu. The meal started with house-made focaccia, and the first course was beets with a parsnip puree and some sesame. YUM, one of my favorite dishes! The Feed Me menu also consisted of spaghetti squash with Calabrian chili, mint, and capers, farinata with sweet potato and green onion, pesto pasta, and tiramisu. The beets and farinata stole the show for me. I had never heard of farinata, but will be dreaming about that chickpea muffin stuffed with sweet potato over a pool of a whipped almond cream. I am the kind of person who usually has an entire second meal after ordering a tasting menu since I am still hungry, but I left Somebody People full & happy! Service was great! My server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Service did slow down about 1/2 way through the meal, but was still just fine. I have dined twice at Somebody People and they do justice to vegan cuisine. The cocktails are inventive (both alcoholic and non) the dishes are creative and flavorful and staff engaged and helpful. Most of the food is gluten free and server asked both times if we had any allergies or special needs. They did a great job for our anniversary dinner. The radiatori pasta dish is the best with amazing pasta, sauce and some heat from the gremolata. The cabbage is a close second. The beets are awesome. The only dish we didn't love was the spaghetti squash. It sounds good with mint, Calabrian Chile, etc but taste was meh. Our table went with the feed me option which came out with 4 different delicious courses. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is it was a bit pricey, I didn't love the small cocktail menu options (I did love the cocktail I got though) but who has 2 cocktails in such a small list with banana?!, and I felt we were getting pushed out by one of the hostesses. We were told beforehand there would be a party coming but there was plenty of seating options and our dessert hadn't even come yet when she was trying to get us to pay. I've been coming to Somebody People since 2019 and they are always cooking up magic!! I used to get their produce boxes in 2020 as well and, even then, the team was absolutely incredible. This place is, hands down, one of my favorite spots in Denver. I feel like a lot of vegan/vegetarian spots try to recreate meat and meat forward dishes, but not here! They really highlight vegetables and focus on what's in season, so everything is so flavorful and bright. Their starters are always incredible, their pastas are fresh and Al dente, and their desserts are the perfect finish! The Tiramisu is the best! What a gem! Such an amazing meal by any measure. We did not miss animal products at all. We did the Feed Me where you get a variety of shared plates for the table. This was such a hit and honestly a good deal for the $42 price. We started with cocktails which were served quickly along with sparkling water. My favorite was the mezcal drink, but we also enjoyed the whiskey one. The rum drink was strong but good. The plates started flowing quickly after that, although we did not feel rushed. Everything was delicious from the radishes to the spicy braised cabbage. I rarely get dessert at restaurants but this is one where you should! Came here because we heard about it and that it was good...We came on Sunday so maybe that's why but the food isn't worth the price imo. It's really confusing cause they serve you one dish that you're supposed to share but charge you for 2. So when they asked us how many and we said 2 we were expecting separate plates. It's about a 6 course meal. First we got grilled sourdough, it tasted burn. It was ok though. Second we got some kind of carrot salad, it was really good but I feel like I could make it myself. Third we got some kind of bean salad, sorry but it was really nasty, again tasted burnt and not in a good way. Fourth we got roasted radish in some kind of sauce. That was ok. Fifth we got some green pasta which was probably the best tasting. Now dessert was extremely disappointing, they gave 2 of us the smallest little cup of "panna cotta" it was really disgusting coconut yogurt and jelly crap on top. I had a hard time even eating it. My daughter didn't like anything so I would say it's not kid friendly. (We assumed she wouldn't want anything because of what was on the menu so we shared with her, we had to get her something else after). The service was good and I do like that everything was pretty healthy and no mock meats. I'm vegan so I'm not trying to bash this place I just hope they stop trying to be overly boojie when they're basic. Kinda tired of these vegan places over charging for sub par food. I know they can do better because I've had amazing vegan food that had way bigger portions that cost less. I have been here a few times since they have opened but have yet to leave a review. Everything dish have ever eaten here has been excellent. There is not one one thing I have tried I would say is just ok. They change up the menu often and offer tasting menus too. It's fine to just go with it even if you aren't sure exactly what you are ordering, just trust that it will be delicious. We came in for a long awaited dinner to celebrate my birthday. Even though my birthday had past they made it special and offered us a toast and put a candle in my dessert We had bread service and arancini to start. The arancini were served with delicious basil sauce. For entrees I got the gnocchi and my husband got the rigatoni. The gnocchi was made with Japanese yam and had a carrot purée and a pesto and radish on top. It was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had. My husband loved the rigatoni with fried capers. You can tell they make everything from scratch, even the pasta, and use lots of local ingredients. It's amazing what they can do with vegetables and simple ingredients. I offered to share a dessert with my husband but he wanted his own. We both got the pot de crème which was a thick and delicious dark chocolate moose with cream and bits of candy on top. My husband especially enjoyed the sweet and spicy candy bits on top. They also brought out little chocolate chip cookies at the end of the meal, so I am glad we came hungry. I think Somebody People receives so much fan fare because there are not a ton of vegan restaurants in Denver and so a big fish in a small pond will always standout. But, for anyone who has visited a city with lots of vegan options Somebody People is just kind of "meh". It is a small space and even with a reservation you will likely be waiting to be seated and it is a tight squeeze so get ready to be cozy with you neighbors. If I go back to somebody people I will absolutely plop down at the bar and skip the restaurant seating. The service at the bar and the friendliness of the staff was far better than the dining room. Honestly, the stand out items for me came from the bar, the cocktails both alcoholic and non- alcoholic were amazing! It is clear the bar staff spends time on what they are creating and they really care about the quality. The food was a different story for me. Do not get me wrong I didn't hate anything I just only loved one dish out of 5 that we tried and the rest were just fine, or tasted like they were missing something to really make them impress. We started with the potato's with the dill sauce which was the standout dish for me. The sauce was perfect and I wished I had the sauce to put on every other dish we had. Second was the mushrooms which honestly just left a lot to be desired. They were a bit mild and textureless. I am someone who cooks a lot of mushrooms and know they are not difficult to make delicious but these just felt boring. Next up was the cucumber salad which was just kind of boring, it Tasted like every other cucumber salad I have had. Next up was our pasta dishes and we got the gnocchi which I heard people rave about, and honestly I question if those people have ever actually had great gnocchi because this was mushy and gloopy. So incredibly disappointing when you are at a vegan restaurant pasta should be the one thing they can blow your mind with. Should rate a 4.5... I'm rounding up instead of down to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We visited dinner for a week, and checked out a bunch of vegan restaurants. This restaurant was easily the best vegan restaurant we went to in Denver, and is one of the better restaurants we have been to in the United States, particularly outside NY and LA. We went here twice it was so good. The first time we did Sunday supper, and the second time the "Feed Me" fixed set. The "Feed Me" option is basically the same as Sunday supper, but a bit more food. Frankly, Sunday supper was the perfect amount of food; "feed me" was a bit too much, but that's better than a bit too little. The highlight of the show is their pasta, with a close second being their bread which is put under the broiler I think. The first time we went the pasta was 10/10 -- seriously some of the best pasta I've had anywhere, including Italy. Perfectly salted, and it came with a white sauce that was divine. The second time the pasta came with a spicy sauce that was puttanesca or something similar. Unfortunately, either the pasta or the sauce had way too much salt -- think 10x too much salt. I'm giving the restaurant a pass on this because mistakes happen. However, I question whether anyone in the back of house tasted what they were making. Between the bread dish and the pasta you get a bunch of different vegetable dishes, as well as a soup. All were just solid choices and quite good. Between the Sunday we did Sunday supper and the Friday we did the "Feed Me" fixed set, all these options were changed up, so we got a totally different experience each night. The desserts after dinner also were different each time. Service was a 4 the first time we went and a 5 the second time. The first time it took a while to get our drink order, and while the food came out it good order, the server didn't really come around to check in on things nor take an after-dinner coffee order. The second time service was excellent. The vibe is on the loud side -- hard flooring and ceiling contribute to this. If I were the restaurant I'd add some noise-dampening panels on the walls and/or ceilings to try to tamp that down a bit. The place is popular -- basically packed both nights we went -- so it gets loud. To that end, definitely would make reservations and not plan on just showing up and expect to get in without a wait. And props to the restaurant for accepting reservations! Parking is weird. Here's the deal. You can park in the lot behind the restaurant. Then you scan the QR code that's on a poster **inside** the restaurant to get validated parking for free. The second time we went this wasn't made clear to us, but it was the first time so I knew what to do. (Make sure to take a picture of your license plate before leaving the car so you don't have to go back outside to get it...) We had reservations at 6:00 pm for "Sunday Supper". The host seated us immediately after we sorted registering for free parking through a scan. We were greeted shortly after sitting down by this great and very personable waiter, Wes. He started us with a complimentary belated Mothers Day (we were there as a present from our son) sparkling nonalcoholic white wine, which paired unbelievably well with our dinner. Our first course was toasted sour dough with babaganoush, and an incredible salad. Each subsequent course was marvelous ending our dinner with a devine chocolate torte. In short, the service was impeccable, like a formal dance as the staff worked together. The food was delicious, and made for a wonderful date, as we shared eveything. Went here recently on a Sunday for a dinner. Looked at the menu prior to going. Seemed like there were decent options. Nowhere does it mention on Sunday that the ONLY option is something called ~Sunday Supper~ which is a 5 course meal of whatever they have on that menu and whatever they serve you *minus you have allergies*. Was not made aware of the "you get what we serve you or you can go elsewhere memo" aka ~Sunday Supper~ by the restaurant prior to the reservation. I found out this ~Sunday Supper~ information after I was already seated with a party that had reservations. Prior to arriving though there was mention of guests being encouraged to bring their own container for "leftovers" or there will be a $1 fee for a container - which is very eco- friendly, so that was understandable. Onto the next thing about this restaurant- Waited for an absurd amount of time to be seated. The reservation was for 8:15pm...didn't get seated until 9pm..slightly after 9pm. Really? Why? A mystery that will go unsolved lol Now onto the food....The soup of the day was...not anything I finished. The beets with raisins...pass. Best dish was some sort of picked peppers and potatoes with cranberry sauce mixture...was probably oddly enough the only thing that was good. The "chickpea mac&cheese" that evening had the texture of biting into uncooked pasta. The dessert was a "banana pudding"...was excited because it was supposed to be plantains. Sadly, the pudding had the taste and texture of banana baby food, which wasn't all that appealing. The plantains seemed dehydrated so they taste and texture weren't appealing. The lime zest was minimal at best and paired oddly with the "banana pudding". So now the actual restaurant setup- The seating is very, very close to other tables. Servers elbow's definitely bump you while they're serving nearby tables. Dimly lit...guess it adds to the appeal and also not being able to clearly see the dishes. Had only water to drink so the meal was about 50$, not horrible at all for a dinner, but for that price, you could go elsewhere in Denver. Could certainly have a better meal experience that is more palatable for the price and time it took to be seated. Wow. I have never been to a restaurant with such perfect silverware. The weight, shape, and literally everything was so perfect. My vegan son has been here many times and brought me on a recent trip. Real honest vegan style food too (not the kind with imitation meats and stuff) we did the Sunday tasting dinner which was delish. Their mint pesto on the carrots was quite remarkable. They also made a carrot and black garlic spread for the grilled bread that was extremely good. Perfectly cooked pasta and a fudgy browny to finish things off. Happy and attentive servers in a cute bistro style atmosphere. Judging from the crowds they do it right all the time. A nice selection of wines as well. Hope I'm back out that way soon! read more

A very unique vegan place with interesting menu options. We went for the Sunday meal which is a set course meal with starters, main course and dessert. The bread with carrot spread was beyond delicious, the bread was warm and soft and the spicy carrot were a perfect match. The zucchini salad was refreshing and the egg plant was great with the sauce. The pasta and the broccoli were slightly underwhelming. The dessert was perfect finish to the meal. We enjoyed the meal and the experience. We came here for dinner while visiting friends in the Denver area. While none of us our vegan or even vegetarian, my friends swore by this place. We decided to order the Feed Me entree for the table and that was totally the right call. Every single thing that came out was better than the last and for 5 people, it was such an awesome experience to try different things. At first we were worried it wouldn't be enough food but we were totally stuffed afterwards. I would 100% come back next time we are in Denver and would recommend it to anyone in the area! read more
