I have been going there with my Turn Down What for What NYC group. The service is great too with bartenders too.

I gave this bar a try after already having a great night elsewhere with a friend. When we showed our ID's to the bouncer/security I said to him " Hey how is it going"? I was just being polite. In which he replied " I just need to see your ID." Now I am not one to jump to conclusions but that response was uncalled for. I wasn't going to let that ruin my night so I simply walked in when he returned my ID to me. We ordered a drink each which was mediocre at best. The bartender was a really nice man so we left him a good tip. We stood for about 40 mins tops but I did notice that every time the bouncer came in to scan the bar he would stop and just give me the death stare. I will not be returning and it is very unfortunate that the first point of contact to the establish has a bad attitude and can really deter people from ever coming back. I miss when this was "EAST END BAR " way back when. Staff was nicer and the crowd wasn't as overwhelming. read more

Upper East's relaxed and full of energy bar ideal for group gatherings as they have lots of booths and big tables but also cozy enough for a date night. They host live music performances, markets, trivia nights, and so much more (check their Instagram). Plus, kudos for creating a safe space in the bar (bathroom sign). I went for the Oscars Viewing Party but ended up early so I got to enjoy Kacie Sky's performance. P.S their Happy Hour runs from 4-7pm during weekdays! Also you can bring your own food!!! read more

Stopped by for a Margarita Moday special. Bartender was somewhere in the back so I waited 3-4 minutes. A lady came in 3 minutes after me and when the Bartender came out quess who he approached first. Then they talk, no drinks served for 2 minutes or more. I was never acknowledged even "standing" at the bar. Since he didn't need my business I left. Suggest he learns how to multi-task or he will lose more customers. read more

Wandered in here with my wife on a Friday night. They had a wide array of cocktails, beers, and seltzers at a fair price. The vibes were immaculate. The TVs really had something for everyone: sports, Rick and Morty, and full house. The music was special, tons of 90s throwbacks. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. Super fun bar with great music and decoration! The bartenders are very nice, their drinks are delicious, strong and not too expensive. Local bar on the UES with a lot of character! I love all of the memorabilia that is on the wall, it will take you back in time and you could spend a long time enjoying everything in there! I love how you are able to bring in your own food, I think it's an awesome business model! The drinks were aight but I have so much fun here! I love that it didn't get too wild and I could come and just enjoy the company and people around us in the bar. The servers are all so extremely nice! Very homey 80s themed dive bar in UES. The walls are covered with old school toys and plastered with pictures from old movies, albums, characters/famous people. The music is great too! The venue does not serve food but does provide free popcorn. You are welcomed to bring in food from other places! Not super noisy that you can actually hear each other or enjoy a date. There are also arcade games and board games available in the back (battleship, connect 4, cards, uno, cards against humanity). Staff was friendly and seem to remember their guests! read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, and was glad I did! Clad in 90s Era memorabilia, this surprisingly spacious bar was a lot of fun to be in and the staff were very pleasant. They even played lizzie Mcguire on the TV the whole time I was there! Cocktails were delicious, I tried their adult caprisun which tastes just like orange Hi-C and their peanut butter cup martini, which was dangerously good. Complimentary popcorn is also a very nice added touch. Would gladly come back to this place in a heart beat. read more

If you want your night ruined come here!!!!! Themes itself as a woman friendly bar but has a man working who is literally a troll from under a bridge. They hosted a dance party night and he would turn off the music and when people asked about it -- he decided it'd be cute to flip everyone off. At first we had a lovely experience coming for trivia where the man running the bar went out of his way to make room for us and make us feel welcomed. However, the waitress came to take our drink order and we all ordered sodas as we are all sober. She rudely yelled "it's a 2 drink minimum" to which my friend said, "okay is that only for alcoholic drinks or do our sodas count" to which she YELLED rudely "I mean no but because we're not busy I guess that's okay,". We would've kindly left if we were not following their drink rules. She then asked for a card and my friend while grabbing her card asked why it was needed to which she YELLED AGAIN "YOURE SODAS ARENT FREE" and we were like yes we are aware we have to pay for the sodas? and she yelled at us again some other nonsense. We revoked our order and left because we were all like damn this girl just ruined our day and made us so uncomfortable. We were sad to leave the KIND man who helped us but the waitress was genuinely so mean we were so uncomfortable. Sad because we live across the street and were looking forward to coming here. I get it on slower nights like Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday but on Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays I find myself not going here because of things going on. Horrible service. I must have been wearing an invisibility cloak. Was at the bar for 10 minutes before walking out as the two bartenders ignored everyone. One fluttered around and one activated electronics calendars all the while not taking drink orders. Too many other bars in the area to waste time on this mediocre bar. read more

Came here for trivia twice and the first time they charged us an extra $12 for a drink we never ordered. We brought it up and they told us no and told us we ordered the drinks. Second time there the same thing happened. Drinks appeared on our receipt that we never ordered. Brought it up to them and they said " I don't know what you ordered it looked like 6 drinks" and they refused to change the bill. Will not be returning here for trivia or any other time, both bartenders are extremely rude and don't care about their customers. read more

I come here a lot because I live in the area and it's always a fun time- good drinks, popcorn, and board games. Last night however, I came in with my friends about an hour before closing and the bartender was very rude. My friend asked for a water-- keep in mind we also ordered drinks and the bartender said "no, I'm not serving water right now", and basically scoffed at us, and proceeded to have an attitude the whole time we were there (only like 30 minutes). Felt pretty bad because my friends were visiting and I wanted to show them some local places, only to be treated poorly. Will think twice before I come here again read more

Been here a couple of times since I live near but will no longer go back. Came for the live music and wanted to sit/chat with a friend while we enjoy the music. Was ordering drinks as the time went by and on my second. Was going to order a third and tip on my last. The bartender Came to get the receipt on the second drink and said she was going to "call me out" for not tipping . Then she said you ordered two drinks and left no tip? I'm just saying tip if you want to be friends with the bartender. I could not help but just stare at her like she was dumb as I was so appalled as to what just came out of her mouth. I'm there to enjoy the music and unwind, not sit there and be your friend. Mind you she was so busy talking to the guys at the bar all she did was open my beer and put it on the counter. I tip very kindly but after that remark I couldn't even finish my second drink. Me and my friend decided it was time to go and never return. If you feel that you have to beg or call people out for not tipping then find a better paying job. Tips aren't guaranteed and should never be expected. I have always worked a job where tipping was allowed but never once have I felt entitled to react that way. read more
