It's taking me five years to write a second review of this place even though I've been back several times (for food for my grandchildren). My review this time is not much higher than the last. Perhaps a full star - 3. On the "plus" side, ordering from the app is great! Convenient, easy to navigate and easy to customize specifics of your sandwiches, etc. order ahead, and your food and drinks could very well be ready when you arrive. (Ours was today.) On the negative side, even if you order ahead and double check your order on your phone app, they still don't necessarily get it right. We didn't find out until we got home that the wrong sauce was included in our "Chicken Hickory barbecue wrap ". Instead, we got a plain chicken wrap with two packets of "sonic salsa" on the side. Yuck. Onion rings today were crispy. Tots were not. Advice for the day... Stick to the basics. Hotdog, hamburger, chicken sandwich, all fair - good. I have to admit, I was surprised at how good the food was. We had the SuperSONIC® Breakfast Burrito with Tater Tots, and it was great. I had only been to one other Sonic before, and the burritos were really small. Here they were big and delicious and stuffed with tasty ingredients. Our order was delivered quickly, and the person who brought it out was friendly. The ordering process was easy, with a big menu display where you push a button when you're ready to order, and someone comes on the line and takes your order. There's no indoor seating here, so you either park there and eat in your car or drive away and enjoy the food elsewhere. We had a very good experience overall, and I'll definitely go back for a breakfast burrito and need to get back for the lunch menu one of these days as well. read more

We have been back 2 more times in the past couple weeks, and we aren't even really an ice cream fam. VISIT ONE: Sonic Blast with Peanut Butter Cup (for me) & Sonic Blast with Heath (for the hubs), plus a "PUP CUP" for our sweet boston terrier we brought with us. OVERALL -- yummmmmmm **NOTE - I finished ALL of my small one, and man I was so bloated. I didn't realize it was SO much goodness. VISIT TWO: Real Ice cream sundae with strawberries (for both husband and I). ONE SIZE, decent size $1.99 each. and a PUP CUP! Never, ever, ever bother with this place on a Friday or Saturday night - which is, of course, when you're most likely to crave ice cream. I always attempt to get a cookie dough blast, when ends up being a cup of vanilla ice cream with practically NOTHING in it. To solve the problem, I asked for extra - of course, am charged extra, and I swear they put in even less. It's freaking ridiculous. If I wanted vanilla ice cream, I'd stay home. Also, on warm summer nights (or any Friday or Saturday after sunset), the parking lot is over-run by spoiled teens harassing customers with a megaphone, or shouting at them, or being generally unpleasant to anyone but themselves. If management is even present, they sure don't intervene. Super frustrating. How hard can it be, really, to use a full cup of the topping? 9 times out of 10 this happens. Never EVER again. read more

When you pay for a meal, do you like getting your change? If you do, then you'll hate this Sonic. We've experimented with this a few times. No matter what denomination you pay with and no matter what percentage of a difference there is between your transaction and the amount of legal tender that I have handed over, they will try to keep your change. I'm sorry, but if I give you a $20 for my $1.08 Diet Cherry Limeade, I'm not offering you a 2000% tip for walking it ten feet to my car...which leads me to another thought... A few weeks ago, I ordered a Diet Cherry Limeade - something that I've been ordering multiple times per week for the past few years since they decided to start putting diet cherry on the menu...the person taking my order over the speaker informed me that there was no such thing, but they could "put the diet cherry in the diet Sprite". Um...what the hell? Throw in a lime or two and Isn't that exactly what a diet cherry limeade is? Thank you for going above and beyond to make this "secret" concoction. I hope you don't get fired. The old sonic is back and newly renovated after the May '10 flooding. It's bright and clean looking. The menu is classic Sonic. My husband ordered coffee at 5pm, and it was old and gross. But that beckons the question, why order coffee at Sonic at 5pm? If you want coffee, go down the street to Starbucks, but if you want Sonic, get one of their awesome drinks w/ flavors. Former customers should note that there is only one entrance now. There were two before the flood so that might throw you off a bit. Despite the icky coffee, I'm so happy to have Sonic open again! read more

I love sonic, don't get me wrong, but this sonic skimps SO MUCH on toppings. We asked for extra oreo on an oreo blast, but what we received looked like it had been de-oreoed. It was like I asked for extra ice cream. It so was tragic, I had to sign up for a yelp account to write this. All I ask is that the Franklin Sonic will match the Grassland sonic, in regards to ice cream to toppings ratio. I don't often review fast food places, but this Sonic is so consistent, that I wanted to put it up here. I only really eat breakfast from 2 fast food places and Sonic is one of them. I always get a Jr. Breakfast Burrito with egg and cheese. The tortilla is always very soft and they have never messed up my order. read more

This sonic does a good job overall. The service is friendly and efficient. I pretty much just get hamburgers which are consistent. Only complaint is the music is played so loud that it makes it difficult to order via the intercom. It would really help if they would turn down the music a couple of notches. read more
