I saw the BBLT on TV and was looking forward to trying it. I drove to The Sonic on Sunday afternoon and pulled into the drive through line. The line was so slow that several cars pulled away. I ordered two BBLTs and onion rings with a route 44 vanilla iced coffee. I was told they were out of onion rings so I switched to tots. When I got to the window there was a long wait, then they gave me the wrong bag. When they gave me the coffee it looked a little light but I didn't want to wait anymore so I pulled away. The tots were good. The BBLT are supposed to be on brioche buns but mine were both on soggy Texas toast which no one bothered to mention to me. The bacon was undercooked and the sandwiches overall were a huge disappointment. Then I tried the coffee which turned out to be mostly milk over ice. I have gone here before and the product gets worse. This visit 2 milkshakes were spilled due to somebody not making sure the lids were on correctly. Cup holders were filled with what they call whipped cream and barely cold vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Done with them 1/2 price equals bad product. read more

Eaten here several times because of convenience, it has never been good. The food is always cold, old, and sloppy. The wait time is also ridiculous no matter what time of day it is. I'm not sure what could be taking so long, they're certainly not freshly making the food for you. read more

We had to push the button twice and wait 10 minutes just to order. Then, 30 minutes later we pushed the button again to make sure it was actually being made. 5 minutes after the employee told us there was no order for us, they began making it. After a total of 45 minutes sitting in a car hop, we finally receive our small order of 3 shakes. We will not be returning to this location. read more

Ordered a number 4 bacon cheeseburger toaster and it was made wrong . I've gotten into the habit of checking my food everywhere that I go . So it had no cheese on it and i presses the red button to let them know they forgot the cheese and gave me literal crumbles of bacon and to my surprise they asked me if I just wanted them to bring out a piece of cheese or did I want them to remake it !! Like you. Can't be serious !! Bring me a piece of cheese why would that even be an option ! Clearly I want a new burger . So they bring me the new burger thrown together still with no bacon ! Had to repeat my order multiple times. I ordered a combo #1 which is a cheeseburger. Added bacon. This is the 2nd Vist in a row there was no bacon. Even though it was repeated back to me. Sent it back Now have bacon but no cheese. Sent it back. Now have bacon and cheese but left the tomatoes off that were on the first two. Geeze. Manager had to make it herself. If the order taker is new then they shouldn't be left on their own. They need to be mentored till they are profecient. I did get coupons and a free cheeseburger next visit. I can't resist Sonic. I'm going to be in a lot of trouble if they ever open one in Frederick. Their slushy drinks and anything fried (especially their onion rings) are freaking awesome. Somebody told me they use soft-serve ice cream in the batter. I'm not sure if that's true, but there's some magical ingredient that makes them irresistible. read more

The time to get your food is unreal. I don't understand how it can take 30 min to go through a drive through when nothing about the order is special or modified. More than half the time the order is wrong. read more

I love their food and usually the service is good, but for awhile now their limeades have been flat. No carbonation. I'd steer clear from that menu item. I'd recommend the New York dog and the boneless wings. Very good read more

Ugh worst experience ever! Took a long time for them to take our order. Then once order was placed it took 35 minutes for food to come out and 6 items were completely wrong and 3 items we're missing. Waited more than 4 minutes at the drive-in speaker no one would reply. I then pulled up to the window to give my order. The gentlemen did not have his head phones on. I informed him that I waited five minutes to order and he said sorry. After finally taking my order, he decided to refill all the cups by the drink dispensers even though I had not ordered a drink, then after another five minutes of wait he finally started to make my order. Mean while another customer pulled up behind me at the speaker and waited there over 6 minutes and the sonic employee had still not put on his headphone for the drive through window. There was never a sincere apology or any care for the customers they were serving. This is by far one of the worst fast food experiences and definitely will not be going back to sonic. read more

Where do i begin? After a long day at the orioles game decided to stop for a smoothie. We pulled in theres no where to park. Turned around and finally found a place. Order our food and WAITED 20 MINUTES for two milkshakes! She almost gave us someone else food too! Then, the told us the wrong total and had to come back for more money. After all this i was excited that it was over and i had my milkshake. NOPE! I ordered a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. They were half melted and mine was so sour i had 2 sips and threw it away. We just visited this sonic. They didn't bring my apple slices with my order. Already drove away. Too late. The only healthy thing on menu. And the seasoned popcorn chicken is awful. We got honey BBQ. It's like a cup of powder dumped on a tray of chicken. And the powder doesn't taste like honey or BBQ. read more

worst. experience. ever. Ordered a number 11 and a one and a corn dog and 10 minutes in we pushed the button again and asked if they got the order. They lied and said yes and then another 20 minutes go by and we see everyone else getting their order. We wait a few more minutes and then call and it takes about 10 more minutes for these people to learn how to hear and they said did you order the strawberry milkshake with something else and we said no and they took another 5 mins to get back on so we just said cancel the order. read more

I was at the Hagerstown store waiting on the patio for my order and overheard an employee being verbally abused by a manager for taking care of a customer instead of doing another job the manager wanted. The food is always good but the service is awful and now I know why it's because of the employees are treated very badly and that attitude follows them out to the customers. read more

For whatever stupid reason I went back... Their $.99 drink special got me in the morning. There was one lady in front of me also taking advantage of the drink special with 4 drinks. This Sonic was very average. I came during happy hour for an iced tea and sat in the drive thru for probably 10 minutes before being served even though there was only one car in front of me. Otherwise, the drink was good and the employee at the window was friendly enough! read more

A few of us are travelling from DC to Erie, PA and this is our first time at a Sonic Drive-in. The food was great, the service was quick, prices were reasonable, and our server, Liam, was fantastic. I really hate to right a mostly negative review, but it's been so consistent I feel like I have to say something. We typically order with the app. Our order is correct, but they never give you the condiments you're supposed to get (cheese sauce with pretzel twists for example). Often if we go at night, all of the outside lights are out. It's like the employees are hiding. And I mean really often, like 9 of 10 times when we go, no lights and it's pitch dark out. There will be no other cars in the lot, and we've waited 20-30 minutes when all we ordered was 4 drinks...paid for in the app, before we left home - 10 minutes from the location. So basically it usually takes 30-40 minutes to get drinks. It's crazy. The car hops are nice, but I get the impression that the owners are letting like 2 employees man the entire restaurant on a daily basis. I feel bad for the employees. Also annoying is that not every item they carry shows up in the app (the red white and blue shake for example). Overall I think what they really need is more employees. read more

Place truly sucks. Food is mediocre, a horrible wait on drive thru orders. The hot dog buns are basically mushy liquid when you finally get to them. Not even worth one star in my opinion, if you're going to serve food, make sure it's hot and at least appetizing. read more

I'm not sure what is wrong with this Sonic, but I went here twice this past weekend for a trip out to Western Maryland. The first visit, they forgot an order of tots. OK...no biggie. They brought them and all was right with the world. The next day, stopped there again. This time, it took FOREVER to bring the food until the point where I had to check on it. Of course they said, "Oh, it's just coming up now. We had to wait on the wings." However, when the food was brought, you would have thought the wings would have been piping hot since they were "waiting" for them. But, they were just warm, leading me to believe that my order was forgotten. Then, the soda I had ordered (Diet Coke) was a Dr. Pepper. I asked for a replacement, which I received, but 2 mistakes in 2 days? I normally go to the Sonic in Winchester, VA and I never have issues like this. They need to pay more attention to what they're doing or hire more help. And the line backing out of the drive thru into the street is not safe, either. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would... I have a severe allergy to milk and eggs. I've read their menu previously and I was able to have the chicken Ciabatta sandwich. So after ordering that meal and another one... And then asking for change on my $20 bill from a $15 charge, I ended up leaving paying $20 because the girl that brought out my food awkwardly thought that I offered the five dollars as a tip when really I asked for the change. I pulled away and opened my sandwich to notice that they substituted the roll without ever mentioning it and of course it is one that contained dairy. So I went back and asked for a refund for the sandwich portion and they just looked at me. I ended up leaving without a sandwich and wasting $20 on crap food. The employees need to be better educated and understand that allergies are important and should be taken seriously. If I was capable of giving a 0/5 star rating, I would. My boyfriend, brother and I came to sonic with high hopes, but we were all appallingly let down. To begin the experience, the price total was $19.06, so we payed a 20$ bill and 6 cents, expecting a dollar in change. Surprisingly we received 92 cents in change. Then we noticed that the drinks we ordered, were NOT what we got. I ordered a lemonade, and got a frozen lime-aid, my brother ordered a sweet tea and got a diet soda, and my boyfriend ordered dr. pepper and got a flat diet dr. pepper (which they forgot the first time and STILL brought out the wrong order). We ordered them as 3 larges, and were given 2 larges and 1 medium. The main reason we went there were for the corndogs, which I will admit were tasty, however the chili cheese dogs we received were cold with the cheese unmelted. As we leave unsatisfied and let down, we have decided that we will never again grant this sonic on the dual w/ our service. read more

I came here with a few friends back when they were first opening. We waited well over an hour after ordering, NO exaggeration, until we pressed the button to see what on earth was up. It turns out they had lost our order after confirming it with us and we had been waiting all this time for nothing. They offered to re-take the order and said NOTHING of it being complimentary as amends for our wasted time, and I promptly declined. I thought this was ridiculous and contacted Sonic only to be told "thank you for your feedback" and nothing else. I have never returned and they have lost countless orders and business from me in addition to my admonishing others to AVOID this place. If they had simply apologized and offered something such as a free meal for future visit as recompense they would have made back the loss that was precipitated by THEIR mistake 10x over. The drive thru line always takes forever even if you are the only one in line. 90% of time something is wrong with the order or something is missing. The only reason I come to this one is because Frederick is too far away. The staff needs to be retrained. read more

I have experienced better service at this location, Today however the wait was almost 40 minutes and the order was wrong! The person taking the order couldn't even tell me how many nuggets were in a small vs large order. I asked her was it 10 vs 20 or something like that she stated she had no idea.
