I seriously don't know why I keep giving this place chances. Every time I think it's going to be better, always turns out crap and u feel completely ripped off. Today I bought there new triple chocolate master blaster???? Way way way over priced. Almost 6$ for a medium?? C'mon. And they give you a straw, which is always funny to me because there shakes are so thick a straw is useless. Didn't even give me a spoon. And I also ordered there 5 piece mozzarella sticks for 2.99 not a bad price, but they were awful. As soon as bit into one water came out like they had been frozen forever than microwaved. This place is a solid burger join that differs from others. The burgers are flavorful and juicy. The chicken tenders are very tasty as well as the fries and tater tots. I really enjoy the ice in my soda, soft and comfortable to chew on. The shakes are really good and many different choices to add in. Ordering in the drive thru or in the parking lot was fairly fast despite how busy it was. I will be back again to enduldge in some classic American food. read more

Went there for a milkshake run. The drive thru line was extremely long. Had to wait about half an hour to an hour. Then when ordering I ordered three milkshakes large and a large French fries. A buddy of mine wanted to order another shake however we were passed the com. So we thought we can order it at the window. As we pulled up to the window, I asked politely if we could add on another item. But the lady looked at me and said we couldn't and would have to go back in line. I felt that was unnecessary but we just didn't order it because the line was too long to do so. Then when our order came out one milkshake was a medium. But the receipt did say a medium when I clearly said large on all. The milkshakes too also looked to be not fully filled. It was as if someone ate half of it or it's just half missing. The workers seem to not care and care more on getting everyone out of the line. Will not go back any time soon again. read more

Drive thru line was long so we decided to pull into a stall. Bad idea! I ordered 3 shakes and waited and watched the status update on the screen. It wasn't too long before it said my carhop was on the way with my order. Ten minutes later still no order even though it said it was on it's way. The guy next to me got out of his truck and complained that he was given the wrong order and it just so happened that another carhop was bringing him his order. As I watched I noticed it looked like our order was given to him. They proceeded to take the wrong order (most likely my order) back inside. After waiting another minute or so, I pushed the order button and told the lady that I have been waiting for over 10 minutes now even though it said it was on the way, she said they would get it right out to me. Another 5 minutes passed and at this point I was really mad, since I decided to pay with cash I wasn't out anything so we ended up leaving. Don't get me wrong, I like Sonic, but this location has gone downhill and isn't as good as it once was. The last time I had a complaint I went online and submitted it to their corporate customer service with no response. I work in the industry so understand how critical the customers experience is and it seems to me Sonic doesn't care. I was dissapointed w. this Sonic! But I believe it's because they were sooooooo busy, so I will give it another chance after the "newness" wears off! I lived in the South for a couple of years and Sonic is a big deal out there, so I was sooo excited to eat it again.....it was just so/so. Amazing customer service! I'm 8 months pregnant and hubs asked me if I wanted Sonic, um of course I do! We have our two kids in the backseat, and of course we ordered the whole place! Two starving boys and a pregnant mama. I felt bad for holding up the line at the drive thru...but Sonic handled it like a champ and got the small orders out to the people behind us while we patently waited for our order. Good job guys!!! Sonic coming to Hayward is like that girl you've been lusting after for years who finally decides to move here and then turns out to to be a tranny , meth addict, i mean , sure you'll end up drunk in bed ,but ultimately it's just another disappointment. This was my first time at this particular sonic drive thru. I've never been a huge huge fan of sonic but this was on the way back home so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and fries. Ordering was quick and easy and the food came within 10-15 minutes of ordering it - if that. The quality is nothing crazy or special but it reminded me a lot of in n out burgers. The fries were decent and hot when I got them. Over all good decent food, affordable, good and quick customer service. Would I return? I wouldn't go out of my way to return but I would tell people to try it out if it's their thing. The milkshakes here are really good too as I have tried it at another sonic location. Check this place out if you haven't already. read more

Worst Sonic ever!!! Ordered an ultimatum chicken sandwich that was far from ultimate. More like an ultimate fail. The chicken was not cooked. I had ordered through the drive through and was so upset that I returned from home to get a refund. The staff was very rude and would continue to disregard my claim because I had a bite or two from it. Excuse me, no one checks to see if their chicken is cooked all of the way through. Closest one to us near SF! Happy Hour is the best time to go get drinks. Food is like diner/fast food quality. Price is a good deal compared to other places. You get it pretty quick & it's a nice experience for those who haven't gone to this yet especially with parents who talk about "back in the day" how they use to serve at burger joints with the roller blades. Prices are cheap, location is near the freeway, but only a spot to pass by especially in road trips compared to a must go to. read more

Drive-thru ripoffs. That's right....some of their dishonest employees are running scams. I've been there a few times and more often than not, I've had to ask for my change at the drive-thru. Today was the last straw, though. They had a promo where all day long on July 23rd, all American dogs and chili dogs were $1. I ordered two American dogs, and since it was Happy Hour,I ordered cheese stix for $1, a small cherry lime drink for 78 cents, and a watermelon slush for $1.00 (half off).....the screen in the drive-thru lane read $1.99 for one of the hot dogs and the total was $8.95. I complained in the speaker but the person on the other end was clueless.When I drove up to the window, I said my purchase,with tax,should only be around $5.50,not $8.95. The teenager at the window said it was right because the computer said so.Then, the "manager" came to the window and I had him repeat to me the price of each item. Even though it added up to $4.78 before 9% tax (after tax, $5.20), he still told me I owed $8.95. I just drove away and bought nothing. I called the Sonic corporate HQ and complained about these dumb scam artists. After reporting this to a person at corporate HQ, the manager of the Hayward Sonic called me the next day. He was very sympathetic and agreed with me totally. He is determined to find those responsible for this fiasco. I'll keep going to Sonic....I love their hot dogs & drinks. How hard is it to get a Route 44 Lime Limeaide?? Well, at this Sonic the answer is pretty damn hard! First we sat at the drive thru order box for 6 minutes saying Hello... hello....Bueller....Bueller?? We finally gave up and drove up to the window to find 2 employees (( Raylina and someone without a name tag )) having a great conversation. It took them a while to understand that we had not placed an order as nobody was listening. It wasn't until they both realized that the other was not listening to the drive thru! We place our order for the very simple " Route 44 Lime-Limeaide with extra lime syrup" and we get handed a clear cup with a clear liquid in it. I knew there was a problem as there should have been a few limes floating in it and it should have a green hue to it. When I asked Raylina why there were no limes I got a puzzled look and "I don't know... did you want them?!" answer. After a few more minutes we ended up with a lime limeaide, but it shouldn't have been that hard. read more

Ok, I know not to expect too much from this Sonics cause their service has never really been all thaat great anyways (at this particular location but its not like I'm gonna drive an hour away for some fast food&ice cream). But ugh, I'm hella annoyed that they ruined my dessert right now. So, lately I've been craving hot fudge so today I ordered a snickers blast and asked if I could add hot fudge (.50). They ended up not adding any hot fudge and I know I should have just let it go 'cause its just hot fudge, 50 cents worth of hot fudge. But, I don't know, I guess cause in the moment I just really wanted hot fudge and it would be simple to just go back up and ask if they could add hot fudge, right? So I did that and the guy was nice enough about it but then I was surprised to see the cup he gave back to me was just compleeetely melted. I guess maybe because they blend it in or something. This is the closest location in the bay area, so we drove up because we really wanted to try the place. At first we didn't realize that there's no dine-in (duh) i guess we should of realized that. On the other hand there is outdoor seating, eating in the car, and drive thru. the ordering is pretty easy too, either order inside your car, the kiosk for outdoor dining, or traditional drive thru. Pretty typical fast food fare here, burgers, fries, breakfast, tater tots, cheese sticks, etc. But their drinks are awesome, and can be customized in so many ways. Another plus at sonic is breakfast is served all day and there closed pretty late. they also have a happy hour on drinks from 2 - 5. overall i'd say the food was average to above average. 4 stars because of the customized drinks that other fast food joints don't. great place for young kids and families. read more

Okay first of all, I hate people that review a place without ever eating there. I mean you knew it was going to be crowded the first week, what else did you expect when you got there, that's no reason to give the place a one star. Well I have to say the concept of this place is unique, but might take a little getting used to. I got the chicken sandwich, tater tots, and a strawberry limeade. The chicken sandwich wasn't amazing, but it was on par with any fast food place. The tater tots were delicious! and the strawberry limeade was phenomenal, not too sweet and extremely refreshing. Overall I was very satisfied and will be returning. And for those of you that criticize the service, keep in mind that ALL the employees are new, not just that girl at the register, or that guy that skates the food out to you, but ALL the employees. Recently I had yet another terrible experience at the Sonic located at 11145 Coursey Blvd. in Baton Rouge, La. It was approx. 6 months since my last visit (unpleasant: I was short-changed) to this Sonic location so I decided to go there again thinking certainly they had fixed the problems by now; WRONG! Not only did they get my order wrong, but it took almost 15 minutes to get it, and they had only a few customers. When I spoke to the manager he was unapologetic and uncaring! It is hard to believe that they are still in business; the few customers that they get must be 1st time (and probably last time) customers. I will never go to this Sonic location again! read more

All employees were unhelpful and very rude. I asked for a spoon for my waffle cone sundae, plain vanilla with fudge and it took 15 minutes (It melted by then) for them to come back. Check your statements! I really like going to sonics for their sonic blasts but the last visit I had was a very bad one. I drove into the stalls and placed my order. I paid using my ATM card through the machine and the guy came with the blast and gave my receipt. I ordered one medium M&Ms sonic blast which came out to be $4.35. An hour later after I got home, I was looking over my bank statements through my phone and I saw my charge of $4.35 from sonics but for some reason there was ANOTHER charge of $20.33 after it. I was completely shocked and confused where this charge came from because I only ordered one medium sonic blast. I called sonics right away and the manager didn't know why or where the charge came from. He suggested that my card was charged from the next drivers that came to my stall after I left but how could that be if I still had my ATM card! He didn't know why and also suggested it could've been a faulty machine. I told him that he better change his faulty machine because anyone who goes there and uses their ATM or credit card would most likely be charged extra too. I feel like these people are crooks and try to cheat and steal from people using their ATM or credit card information. He was able to refund me the charge but PLEASE BE AWARE of this issue the next time you go to sonics and pay using a card. Check your statements! read more

I wish i could give 0 stars. I have been to this particular Sonic at least 6 times. They are absolutely horrible. If the food wasn't so good I wouldn't be back. The customer service is absolutely horrible. The kids working there act like its a privilege that they even take care of you. Their attitudes are ridiculous. If they worked for me they would have been fired already. The food is NEVER RIGHT. They always forget something, or give you the wrong food. Customer service isn't what it should be anymore.
