I placed an online order, for one simple combo. Got to the restaurant, the app wouldn't let me check in. I pushed the red button. They asked me name and ticket number multiple times. I had to call again, and flag someone down. They asked me what I was I was waiting for, like people just come sit in their cars without food all day (wouldn't that be loitering). I waited for an hour for my food to come out. I asked if I was going to be cold now. They said no, that it has been under the heat warmer the whole time. There a kid name Gerald there at this location. Is very rude. On 1-6-24 around 3:35 pm I Asked him for a spoon he agreed to go get me one and NEVER came back out. But came back out to give someone else there food. Not ok my son was very upset. He uses the spoon to eat his slushy. So thank you. Gerald you need some new training. Sonic is my one stop shop for a good meal and dessert for cheap! Their menu is full of so many different things so you can literally have whatever you're craving. Babe likes the crispy chicken sandwich and I'm more of the mozzarella sticks / chili cheese hot dog type. They're really generous when you ask for extra sauce. I love marinara sauce with my mozzarella sticks. And don't even get me started on their drinks! So many options! You can have slushes, teas, limeades, shakes, coconut water, soda... anything you are thirsty for they probably have!! I enjoy getting their cherry limeades but what gets me coming here late nights are their shakes. They have so many different types it's crazy! And they're thick. I love thick shakes. I ordered using the app. When I arrived the food wasn't ready yet but I only waited around 5 minutes. The manager or shift leader or what ever he was comes out to say: " Ok so sad news but our grill is down so we can't make your whole order. " I told him give me what you can make and refund me for the rest. He says: "Oh ok I'll see if I can do that. " I'm told that the refund will be on my card in a couple days. I asked if he can refund me in cash, he bluntly said no. Ok so a couple of days it is. It's been over a week and no refund. I called the store and they said I have to show them a receipt. Who keeps a fast food receipt for over a week in the off chance you'll need proof of purchase? It's not like my refund was $20. Next step is calling the corporate office and maybe a health office needs to check on the cleanliness of the store too because the last slush I got tasted like bleach. I threw it out. Update review 2022: My husband and I have been coming here for years! Probably close to a decade now and just recently it has been pretty awful. I've waited 45 minutes for food and gotten home and it's been an incorrect order. I understand the short staff post COVID but I have pulled into the Sonic on Lake Mead and have gotten quicker service. I gave them a few more tries to get it right but after waiting 45+minutes for food with a crying baby in the back seat, I think I am just going to retire this restaurant and go elsewhere. If you can get past the burns in your mouth from their coffee their food is tasty. Super-sonic breakfast burrito is delicious and made even better with the jalapeños. Currently there is a car hop classic combo for 2.99, cheeseburger and medium onion rings. This is more than enough for diner even for me. The onion rings are to die for, Love their slushes. The orange cream slush will satisfy our creamsicle craving. The water at this location is a little strong and does effect the flavor of the beverages. Oh yeah, and if you couldn't tell from the first line the coffee is about 3 degrees cooler than molten lava, so ask for ice if you want to drink it anytime soon. read more

I have gone to this Sonic for many years; however after today I will not visit again. 3 weeks ago we ordered from Sonic and my tater tot order was wrong, it was too late to do anything about it since my husband brought the order home without looking closely at the tater tots. So today we went again and my tater tot order was messed up again!!! So they took them back to remake them and when they came back out they were f'd up AGAIN!!!! How hard is it to understand I want tater tots with green chili and cheese? Sonic is always a good time! I ordered my meal using the phone app and it was easy enough to do that. I selected the time I wanted it to be ready, and when I arrived and checked in with the app my food was delivered a minute later. Sonic always gives good service every time I go there. My wife tried the bacon jam cheeseburger and I had the all American hotdog. (I wish the Chicago dogs would come back, I miss those). My wife said the burger was delicious, but she couldn't really taste the jam. My hotdog was fantastic as usual. We also shared an order of onion rings and they were excellent. Believe it or not, there were actual rings of onions inside the onion rings, and not the chewy dried out pitiful onions found at other places. It's always a treat when we get a meal from Sonic and I look forward to the next time we go. read more

Went to this sonic around 3:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon. The establishment was not too busy and seemed to be able to manage their business.......as we sat for 35 minutes waiting for our order ( #2 with cheese plain, tater tots and a lemonade) we watched as car after car left due not being acknowledged for an order. We never received our food and when we asked the manager as to where our food order was she stated that they had the wrong stall number on our order and tried/gave to give it to another patron. We could not get the pay machine to work so we left without our order. Some serious changes need to be made here. read more

This review is for the Sonic on Boulder Highway in Henderson. I've been going years and never had an issue. The last couple of times I went it was a disaster. The place is falling apart. Half the kiosks don't work. They've let the place go. Not replacing damaged signs. The microphones don't work.... I ordered and still didn't have my order after 30 minutes. I noticed that several people there that came after me we're receiving there orders so I pushed the order button again, no answer. I had to flag down an employee delivering the food. She had to retake my order and they were still serving people that had been there like 10 minutes when I felt my order should have been a priority. Needless to say since I was paying cash I left without my food. I can understand if your short staffed but that's no excuse for the service I receive. I will not be returning to Sonic. read more

As of five minutes ago, Torres was allegedly on their way to our car with our order. The screen in our stall is asking for us to press the red button for service but we paid ten minutes or so ago. So, we press the red button. Ask why the system said order was on its way five minutes ago. Oh, we're still waiting on your order. Cool, so don't mark it as on the way, dude. It's pretty simple. Roll the dice, see how long it takes for you to get your order once the system says it's on its way. It's a blast. Get it? Blast. That underwhelming ice cream treat that has one entire fun sized candy bar in a sea of bland soft serve! So fun. A blast, really. Oh, also as of today, they are out of ice cream, bacon, and strawberries. This location deserves zero stars. We have been twice just in the last week but throughout the years we've been hundreds of times. The location on lake mead, closer to our home, is SO MUCH BETTER. This week however we visited once in the evening and today, in the morning. Both times the female taking our order was rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. The day we were here in the evening, the carhop was super sweet and apologetic. So she was our only silver lining at this place. All we ordered was ice cream, there were three shakes and a dish. I worked at this location for three years as a teenager so I'm well aware that it can take time, especially when their stalls are half full. But it took over 20mins for our incredibly easy order. Mind you, the screen had already said our order was "on its way" 15 months prior it it ACTUALLY coming. Now this morning, I watched 3 female workers walk around (inside & out) as I waited over 10mins for someone to finally acknowledge that I had pushed the red button. Add that to the horrible ordering experience once someone actually came to the box and I'm just DONE with this location. I was one of two cars... seriously?! My food was just delivered, not a "hello" not any ounce of customer service, again. I did however get a "have a good day" with zero pep. I'm glad I wasn't a mystery shop because they would have failed miserably! Yay for good food and my 6yr olds excitement... we will not be visiting this location anymore. Took my daughter there today for the 1/2 slushes happy hour from 2-5. We got two drinks for $2. The ordering was easy, as was the payment with the credit card. The delivery of the order was quick. I had a limeberry real fruit slushe and she had a strawberry real fruit slushe. We hung out in our car, listened to music and enjoyed our drinks. Getting into this place is a little odd because it is not actually on Boulder Highway, but set back with a medium in front of it. I have a love / hate relationship with Sonic, in particular this location in Henderson. On the plus side, it's open late (but not 24 hours), and service for the most part is fast and friendly. And sometimes you get the skating car hops which adds to the experience. Dislikes: Kinda quirky to get in and out of off Boulder Highway. And their payment systems won't let you put the tip for the car hops on your card. You gotta pay them cash. And sometimes they get slammed so if you have little patience in the evenings this is not the place for you. And one another annoyance is people that don't turn their headlights off while parked so you can get dazzled while eating your food sometimes.... But nobody does drinks, shakes, floats, etc like Sonic...they don't even come close. During the summer this place was great, now the last 2 times I've been here we just sit at the speaker forever, last time I left after 20 minutes to jack in the box. I'm here right now and I've been here about 15 minutes and the car who just pulled into the stall next to us got their order taken before us. So every other fast food place seems to be able to serve their customers but sonic can't get it under control. They either have no system or their system sucks. How do they take this car who just got here's order before mine!? Absolutely ridiculous! Perhaps if you provided competent customer service you would make tips and then you would have more people wanting to work. So now I'm watching 2 people trying to figure out where an order goes, they're trying to give it to people in a truck but they didn't take it. It's my order! My issue with this location is the order is wrong every single time. We started opening everything before we left and the times the order was wrong enough that we wanted something remade we trusted it was right after reordering and when we got home it was wrong again. We've gotten bacon cheeseburgers without bacon, cheeseburgers without cheese, and plain cheeseburgers loaded with everything and soiled into the bun making it soggy and impossible to wipe off.
