This place is TERRIBLE. They never have everything that we order. We haven't been here in a while because the service was so poor - not the service of the servers but poor management. Went to get a burger. they said drive through only I started an order through the app. Their order stand said half off special burger in the app. The so called manager (who refused to give me his name) said their board doesn't say that. i asked him to come see the board, he said no and started yelling at me to leave his store. When I purchase a milkshake from a fast food joint, it's because I want to drink a milkshake now, not 30 minutes from now, when it finally melts enough to pull the tiniest amount through the flimsy straw before it collapses in on itself. Went to sonic for a breakfast burrito. Got home and realized how slim my burrito was . I opened there was NO EGG!! How does this happen?? I'm so upset! It was a treat to go with my parents and grandparents to order the #1 or #2. ;) If anyone on here remembers that I'm call you out as OLDER THAN DIRT. (just like me). Pulled up to drive thru at 8:50 am. All lights on. No one responded at drive thru, after a couple minutes and no one answered the drive thru speaker I thought the drive Thru may be out, pulled to a stall and pressed the "call" button, no answer. An employee arrived and entered the building within 30' of my vehicle. After 3-4 minutes and no response to "call" button I walked to the door to ask if they were open. At this time a male and female employee began walking to the door to inform me that "employees only" were allowed inside. Told them I did not want to enter just would like to know if they were open. All they could say is that I could not enter. I finally got a response from this high IQ Bunch that they were closed. Change your hours on Yelp and website because it says otherwise. Better than your average fast food joint, Sonic has nice breakfast choices that are available all day, tho for some reason, the toast never really gets crispy...not sure why that is but it's a minor inconvenience. If you induldge in a BLT or B/E/C sammie, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much B they include. The burgers really are good, the toppings seem more crisp and fresh than other fast food joints (excluding sit down fast joints such as Five Guys). They have aa nice variety of sides if you want something other than fries. The rings are pretty good. During the summer you can't go wrong during happy hour. 100s of drink combos, from slushies to creamsicle type things to shakes. You can also enjoy a good old suicide (think Jr. High...mixing all the sodas at the fountain) but refills are hard to come by so order a large if you have the thirst of a camel. The carhops are efficient and sweet but this place does get busy and they don't always have time to return for a check-in. My niece car-hopped here a few years ago so please, be kind, tip these kids; they work long hours with aching feet in whatever mother nature throws at them. read more

The worst fast food restaurant and service in Mooresville. Everytime I go, I always swear it'll be my last. Then a couple months pass to where I forget about the service and I go again. The service is consistent...consistently terrible. You will wait 10+ minutes for 1 item and it is guaranteed to be wrong. I was the only person at the drive through and waited ten minutes before the employee brought me the wrong order for the car behind me that showed up 5 minutes after I ordered. They of course brought my order after, which was still incorrect. This place needs a new manager and/or franchise owner that cares about the success of the business. This is the second time I have left this location without ordering in the past couple of months. The first time I pushed the red button to order and waited over 10 minutes with no response and left. The second time was today right before noon. There were 6 cars there, a bit before the lunch rush. I am one who hates to write horrible reviews but I feel compelled to do so. I ordered a real strawberry lemonade fruit slushee. It came out to the vehicle as a lemonade slushee. I questioned them about where the strawberries were and the server said they are in there. I said I have never had one that looks like pure white lemonade. I stirred it up and said there are no strawberries in it. Then the reply was... that's how my manager mixes it. I said that is not what I ordered. She said fine I will get you another one. She walked away came back a few seconds later and stated I need your order back. Okay. She brought me what I originally ordered but I won't drink it. Upon pouring out the contents of the drink, what was brought back to me was a ridiculous amount of strawberry syrup and little lemonade. Very inconsistent location. We have had good experiences here, but mostly not. They over cook chicken to the verge or jerkey, as well as over cook sides like tater tots so the fall apart if you look at them. Stopped on way home during vacation. They got our order right on the first try! The food was fresh and good. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the location. It was not easy to turn left to get out of their driveway and back on the highway. The locals probably know how to get around that, though. Very disappointed with this Sonic Drive in, ordered a malk shake and a cheesy bacon pretzel dog along with a quarter pound coney, shake had a sizeable hole on the bottom of the cup, and they gave me the wrong size dispite me clarifing twice on the size i wanted, cup leaked into my vehicle as well as onto my father's sheets when i brought it to him, even though we used to tray given to us. The pretzel dog wasn't what we ordered, received a chili cheese pretzel dog instead. Called to file a problem and came back to the sonic a few days later, went to the pull up slots and like last time I had to come out of my vehicle to place my order, but the order menu wasn't working, tried two other slots, and they were not working as well, a woman made a short attempt to take my order, but it cut out half was through, so after about 10 minutes i went to the drive through window. Was told to pull around so the manager could talk with me without asking for my order. I was going to order more food, but I'm glad that I didn't. Another thirty minutes later before i even got to a spot i could speak with a manager, waited another 30+ minutes before i got out of my vehicle and physically knocked on their door, they just stared at me, the woman who was clearly the manager was washing dishes and ignoring me. Called their phone, no answer, will be calling corporate, and will give this store hell tomorrow. DO NOT GO HERE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Would give zero stars if i could. Alright, where do I begin? Went there on Sunday night with my daughter on a whim for the 1/2 price shakes. Attempted to order at the drive thru, waited patiently 10 minutes "no answer!" Drove around to get in line to order, one waitress carrying on a philosophical debate with a customer that lasted another 6 - 8 minutes, finally decided to drive around and order from the menu. Finally ordered our two "large" shakes, 10 minutes later both come out. Total time for shakes 26 - 28 minutes. When we received the shakes my daughter's shake as she described it was "warm, thick milk with lots of warm whip cream." My shake started off amazingly good until I realized there was no peanut butter in it at all. However, imagine my surprise when when Peter Pan delivered his massive unblended load of peanut butter to my mouth, I felt so cheap!. Have you ever given your dog a spoonful of peanut butter and watched what happens next, that's what my daughter looked at me like while watching her "dog" father gasp for air. Oh, Peter Pan and Sonic have double teamed me for the last time! Folks, before you take your family to this Sonic for a treat ask yourself several questions first: 1. Do you have any prior run-ins with the Department of Social Services? 2. Has your spouse's cheating episode really forced you to this level of treatment? 3. Is time that important to you? 4. Do you like real working blenders to mix your treat / shake, or do you prefer warm thick syrup of Peter Pan thrown into the bottom of the cup? 5. Did those crafty Sonic commercials fool me into this? 6. I have been going to this particular Sonic for nearly 10 years now...but today may be my last. It has been steadily going downhill and the staff is simply rotten. They don't listen, they take forever and they always mess up your order. About 2 years ago they started asking for TIPS! None of them wear rollerskates anymore, not for years, which in my books means this is just a fast food place and doesn't deserve a tip. No service, no tip. No cute skates, no tip! I asked for "no peel" in my fruit slushies cuz all they do is fill it with peel that they don't even squeeze out the juice before plopping it in your cup. It just clogs the straw. Pointless. But, they still add it even when I ask for it not to be. If you give them cash, they will keep your change and walk away unless you ASK to get your change back. It doesn't matter if it's several dollars, they just walk away and assume it is theirs. Management is not paying attention. Stop demanding tips from your customers, clean this place up, and manage your employees. If I keep hearing bad stuff from my friends who still go, I'm going to send a note to corporate Sonic....maybe they will shape this place up. It is an embarrassment to the franchise! read more
