Service was horrible, if I could even say that. We pulled up only 3cars in the stalls pressed button waited ten minutes, said hello, yo revive a sorry but we are busy and will take your order shortly. They were not busy at all. This has happened at other sonics in California as well. Honestly if you guys can't figure it out like in&out than you need to leave. Other states are jam packed and get the job done at a lower wage. Driving through and noticed a Sonic! We had never had sonic before only ever watched many commercials. We order a few chicken slingers and they were tasty, the pickles compliment the sandwich. The kids ordered the kids meals with the burger, tots and they enjoyed it. The burgers weren't anything special but the food attendant Ronnie sure was! Just like most one star reviews here, this place forgets people's order or takes an extremely long time and then they forget your order after. All I ordered was hot fudge sundae with extra nuts. There was barely anyone there and after waiting for 20 mins and dozens of cars passing, I rang the car hop again and they finally brought my order out in 10 mins. Except when they brought my order out, it wasn't even right. They gave me a hot fudge sundae with extra fudge and charged me for it when I didn't even want it. At this point, I didn't even want to go back and ask for anything else and just wanted to go home. What was supposed to be a quick 10 minute turned into almost an hour for me. I was on my way up to Joshua Tree National Park, when I realized that a slushee of some sort would be absolutely scrumptious. To my avail, a Sonic Drive-In was located on the right of the road coming up, so l decided it was worth a try. After ordering, a kind young gentleman came to deliver my food to me, and I believe their name was Cannon. This employee showed pure dedication towards their job and everything that came with it, and I believe wholeheartedly that they deserve a raise. Just as much the slushy was absolutely DELICIOUS! Sonic Burger is a place known for for their burgers and slushes. Well my burger was tasty but greasy and my slush was too sweet. Service was good and the ambience was the inside of my truck. I will give Sonic another try and probably switch to tots instead of fries. read more

I ordered through the app. I was parked in a space and checked in as soon as I paid. All I ordered was 3 chicken strips and a drink. After 12 minutes of waiting and watching 11 cars go through the drive thru. I got the red button and the attendant s at I'd it was going to be 3-5 more minutes. I was out of time and had to leave. He offered me a cash refund then said he couldn't because I ordered on the app. I was forced to call customer service and was disconnected several minutes into the call. I called back. The operator wanted more information then a loan application. After nearly 8 minutes on the phone with a customer service rep I gave up. Really really pissed off right now. I was visiting my boyfriend in Yucca Valley for the weekend and had always seen Sonic on various ads and really wanted to try it. Post bowling once we'd worked up some hunger we decided to hit it. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night. We parked and ordered at one of the boxes once we'd decided. The food came out fairly quickly - maybe a 10 or so minute wait. I ordered the number 3 - double cheeseburger with bacon, a side of fries, frozen lemonade. We also got some mozzarella sticks to share. My boyfriend got a box that looked like just a whole bunch of various fried bits. The burger was easily one of the best fast food burgers I've had. It was fresh. Packed with ingredients and super flavoursome. I was worried after seeing it only had 2 stars but I would easily come back for that burger. Mozzarella sticks were packed with mozz too - sometimes places like this can be hit and miss but they were on point. Fries I could take or leave - weren't the best I've ever had. Frozen lemonade was the perfect side piece to my meal. I'll be back for sure to make my way through the menu read more

This "fast food" restaurant is going down more and more, I've lived up this way for a while and over the past year this place has just become sad. It takes forever for them to respond to button, then when they down they ask you to hold for another 10 mins. For example today it took forever just for two drinks. When I want sonic, id rather drive out of my way to Palm Springs Area or Beaumont. They have way better service, food and drinks. Mixed drinks don't even come out mixed all the way, and sometime you can taste other drinks that have been mixed before yours. read more

Hubby and I where visiting the area with out Chihuahua and we needed a place where we could eat in our car. We ordered two delux cheeseburgers and a large order of tots. We where underwhekmed. The service was superb but the food... Our burgers where semi hot, the cheese was not melted, the lettuce rusty and no taste to the onions if there was even any on the burgers. The tots where fairly hot, but we didn't receive any salt of ketchup. I guess you have to order those condiments when you order your food. We where given two tiny napkins.... For two burgers? I'm as disappointed with this Sonic as well as the Sonic in my area. I don't think we will DO a Sonic again. The food isn't worth the price. read more

I mean, sonics is sonics so the food was fine. The only issue I had here was I came when they had half off drinks for happy hour and apparently half off means half of your shake will be gone as well. My shake literally was filled half way up but they were taking so long to bring me my order I felt it wasnt even worth it to complain and ask for a new one. read more

This is the second time it has happened, where we order and it takes 50 minutes to half an hour to receive the order. The first time I made my order in the app, we had to call the store to get it brought out to us (twice) because the first time they brought out the wrong food. This most recent time we ordered four soft pretzels, a shake, and a Diet Coke, it took them 50 minutes to bring it out. The pretzels appeared to have sat in the bag and got dipped in hot oil again, the Diet Coke seems to have sat since we ordered; it's flatter than a pancake. The only time we haven't had any issue is when it's before 5 pm. read more

Long waits and inept management, they are always looking for more employees, yet don't seem to actually hire anyone. I was interviewed and told to expect a phone call about filling out paperwork, after waiting 2 days I called back, and was told "we're too busy to answer questions right now, I'll call you by the end of the day" After waiting another 2 days, I called again and was given the same answer. I don't appreciate being jerked around by an employer who clearly doesn't care, if this is how they treat prospective employees, I can only imagine how they treat their current ones.Don't waste your time trying to get a job here or getting quick service, you won't get either. read more

This was the WORST drive thru experience of my life. We waited for over 30 minutes and the food was ice cold. The manager on duty, Marissa, has absolutely no idea how to manage a shift. Forewarned is fore armed. We came here at 9pm on a Wednesday night and left an hour later, having asked for a refund. I understand being overwhelmed by a sudden influx of customers, but this was bad. They were understanding and gave us a refund, but at this level of mistakes others deserve to be forewarned. It took 45 minutes to get through the line. Ordered: Double burger no cheese, received double burger with cheese Single burger with cheese no lettuce extra pickles received double burger with cheese and lettuce Ordered popcorn nuggets, received them...but they tasted like burnt oil and were inedible. Ordered coke with lime, received root beer with lime. The tater tots were almost edible but still tasted like old oil. At 4pm we ordered a cherry limeade and lemon berry slushee. We sat, waited, and we understand that drive thru is priority but forgetting/losing an order then not to follow up, unacceptable. 10 min pass, 15 min, 20 min pass. We must have at least seen a dozen cars go through drive thru. 4:23 my husband walks up to the store, looks inside, calls out to anyone, no answer, and there are at least 6 people inside BS-ing. Startled after he yelled out for someone, a young lady finally came to the door. Had no clue what we ordered, asked what it was, scrambled around looking for it. No one had any idea where our 2 drinks were. My husband stood outside for a few min. Still no one made an effort to get them out to us he told them forget it and we left. I called the store and a asked for the manager and a young lady named Kaitlyn said she was the manager on duty. I told her exactly what happened, how employees were just standing around and no one could figure out where our order was. Her reply was "Maam I'm sure that is not true"...so now my husband and I are liars. Then proceeded to say they were in the middle of a shift change. I voiced my opinion on how they should not forget about the other customers who are NOT in the drive thru. Then she tells me that our drinks were already "drawn up" and that if my husband were just a little more patient they would have gave it to him. I'm sorry but we were about 25 min patient for 2 drinks and if they were drawn up already, we wouldn't be in this situation now. It almost made it seem like she was putting us in the wrong. So Kaitlyn says, in these words exactly, "I do not have time to sit here and argue with you" And hung up...wonderful customer service. This particular store in Yucca Valley has a lot of younger kids that I'm sure its just a job for them, a paycheck. I get they're busy and trying their best, but when you're already in the wrong, it doesn't help when you try to put the blame on your customer and say that we should've have been a bit more patient. 23 min is more than enough patience for 2 drinks They get 1 star because the option to put 0 isn't possible. Our server, Hunter, was impeccable. He glided to our car in a matter of seconds and delicately placed my mozz sticks in my gracious hands. To my surprise, hunter thought our order took a little too long and he handed me a token for a free drink :) what a lad. Wow! I just received the best customer service from Nita at Sonic today! We are out here visiting and I was going to utilize the 50% off drinks and slushes via APP. Rita went the extra mile to come out to my car and explain to me that they're almost fully set up with the app and receiving the orders from the app. Rita honored the 50% off and said that's what she could do in her power to make it right with her clients. It's amazing to see businesses communicating with their clients about internal updates but also making sure their clients are well taken care of! I've always been a huge fan of Sonic, but I found this one to be rather disappointing. We ordered a breakfast burrito, and it ended up being a tortilla with a sliced up hamburger and cheese. We also got a Sonic Blast. They never asked us what size (our bad for not clarifying) and automatically charged us for a medium, which is massive. read more
