The service was excellent and fast. There were restrooms on the side of the building so that was pretty convenient for it being an only Drive-in. The food was tasty, I would highly suggest the cheese burgers. The chili on the chili cheese fries were okay, not my personal favorite. I was a fan of the mozzarella sticks, the marinara sauce not so much. I loved my grape slushy. It tasted like how a good grape would taste like.

Immediate 5/5 because they actually skated to bring my order out. And obviously the drinks are the same old same old so nothing new there!

I was on my way from Desert Hille outlets to 29 Palms & decided to pick up "dinner" on the way. Two cars ahead of me in the drive thru, so I thought "this will be quick." Ha! I waited 15 minutes to pull up to order. The voice on the other end asked me to wait. Another 5 minutes. I ordered a large entree honey barbecue chicken poppers & a medium tea. $12 something total. After ordering, The car in front of me was still waiting for their order. I was trapped, unable to escape. When I finally got my order, I was handed the sticky chicken poppers with a napkin and fork on top. No bag! Ugh! Ten minutes later, I opened the poppers. You can see my photo. First off, this cannot be a large. Second they were overcooked and hard. The mess was inedible unless I wanted to risk breaking a tooth. Not recommended.

I want to like Sonic more. It seems fun. Its mediocre food at best. Maybe the shakes are good but I'm lactose intolerant so who knows. I think Wendy's is better for sure. We had left Pioneer Town starving and we were coerced by children to eat at Sonic. My husband had never had it before so why not. I had a regular cheeseburger with the fix'ns. My kids had Chicken Sandwiches and I don't even remember what my husband ordered. There was also a side of Chicken Strips. All together there wasn't anything that great. My son and I did our obligatory, swap our food after eat half of it so we can try two different things. My husband hated his food. We sat at the little table out front after we parked and ordered in the stall. It was a very nice sunny fall day. I just cant get into Sonic. Its just off for me. Its not just this location. Its been every location I've been to.

Chicago dog - love those sport peppers!

Mr/Mrs Hadley themselves. You pull into the lot, and audibly ask "lol why is there a Cold Stone in the same lot as this place" ... I just can't shake how great Hadley's Banana Date Shakes are. I had to write a review. Fun fact: The difference between a small and large is just 1 dollar! My wife and I were already somewhat full from our breakfast just an hour before, so we decided to split a small. Only 5.99. Nice! I'm not even hungry as I write this review, but man I couldn't help myself from buying one. You just can't pass up a Hadley Date Shake. So rich and tasty. It's one that makes the traffic through this place tolerable. And I will continue to preach to the masses. STOP BY HADLEYS.

It was advertised to me by a friend, as it was an essential stop for them and their family during road trips. First off, I heard it used to be an actual stand, but has since moved to a large storefront with high ceilings and the whole nine yards. They're known for their dry goods as well as the date shake. On this particular day, I came for the date shakes. We got one regular and one banana. I don't really know what I was expecting from a random fruit-stand-turned-store in the middle of nowhere, but I'll say I was quite pleasantly surprised. The date shake was, pretty much exactly as advertised. It was a milkshake with dates. It was a nice shake: better than most milkshakes, I'd say. It tasted more...natural? But I'm unsure if the fact that 'date' was in the name had anything to do with it. The banana variant, however, was even better. I liked the kind of texture that the banana adds, and I would get it over the original date shake pretty much every single time. One thing is that it IS a tad expensive, but what isn't nowadays?

Now, the snacks absolutely incredible. The beef jerky was packed with flavor and so fresh, easily some of the best we've ever had. We also picked up corn nuts that were super flavorful and crunchy, chocolate-covered peanuts that were perfectly sweet, chamoy gummy worms with just the right balance of sweet and spicy, and butter toffee peanuts that were rich and addicting. Everything we tried was top-tier. We left happy, with bags full of treats and zero regrets. It's unfortunate that others may have had a different experience in the past, but ours was truly excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Price wise, their offerings are a bit on the higher side - I paid around $10 for a large chocolate malt (shakes are cheaper) - but you will probably encounter a small, quickly-moving line upon entry. And though ice cream can be found at other village businesses, indeed, there are some confections that are unique to this site. Our server (apparently only one on a weekday afternoon) was pleasant and efficient, rapidly filling orders and fielding any questions as she moved to and fro translating the pictured menu offerings into the equally-tempting tangible goodies that excited patrons scurry away holding.
