Sonny's has very good bbq. It has a true smoked flavor. Try the ribs. They are great.

Went here for dinner because we live in Florida and love Sonny's! Not the case with this location! Ordered drinks from the bar and didn't receive them until the food arrived, the fries were cold and the sliced pork came out fatty tough and looked mangled! So disappointed! Spoke to the server about the issues and she said I'll let them know and said the manager would visit our table, no manager ever came over! Worst Easter dinner ever!!! read more

Hello, I just left Sonny's after an almost 40 minute wait just to come home with my food order wrong. I am missing the chicken off my bbq Cobb salad and it was cold. Furthermore, I can not come back because my small children are restless by the fore-mentioned long wait. I do not understand why it takes so long for orders to come out when it's only 3-4 cars in line. I am not a fan of paying $37 for food and the order is not right. read more

We visited the restaurant in Clinton, MS. The Sunday we went, I was not really feeling like going out to eat anywhere and it had been years since I had eaten at a Sonny's. Let me tell you though, that our group really enjoyed ourselves. We had god conversation with one another in our group and with others near us at the restaurant. Our waiter, Courterius was extremally knowledgeable of the menu. He was so down to earth. He was nice and very hospitable. Despite having several tables to tend to, he took care of all of us as if each table was his only one. There was a sign up that said something to the effect: "Come as strangers, and leave as friends or family." That was how it felt that day after the connections we made with others and with our waiter. The food was also fresh and tasty. read more

Just moving into the area. First visit ever to Sonny's. The greeter sat us and took our drink order immediately. Our waitress came shortly after and was extremely sweet and attentive. We had 3 appetizers all of which came out fresh and hot. When our meals arrived everything was very good. The pulled pork on the Sampler was luke warm and the bbq beans were too tomato saucy for my taste. Everything else was on point! We enjoyed the banana pudding dessert which was sized nicely and not over priced like most restaurant desserts. Quality food for a good price. We will back! Oh, I must make note of the older gentleman bussing the tables. He was meticulous in cleaning the tables, booths, seats and making sure every crumb was gone. If I could give this a zero I would, my girlfriend and her mom went here and got 2 brisket grilled cheeses and a mixed chicken, the meat in the briskets were choppy at best and full of fat also it caused stomach aches that we are still dealing with a day later if your thinking about eating here don't. read more

if I could rate a ZERO I would. Something is very wrong here...waited over 90 minutes for a meal that never came? We are a party of 8 adults ordered apps and sodas. apps came out after 30 minutes and we asked for plates 3 times to share, never came nor the ranch for Okra, or grilled onions for tots. Then 20 minutes later they took our order and at 7 PM on a FRIDAY night, there was no chicken (dark or white) just wings, no pork pulled or slice, just brisket and ribs. then fast forward to 8:30pm., and the waitress arrives with one plate!!! for 8 of us and says they ran out of food??? but still came out with plates for other tables?? The waitress was terrible as she not once came to refill drinks, pick up apps plates, or offer updates on food that never probably got ordered. NEVER EVER been to a place that cared so little about a group of 8 patrons! no manager came out either when we asked! cant tell you about the food but cus service non existant!! read more

ordered to go order tonight! I called and spoke with management. (black male) I share with him I wanted my food correct and fresh. he said ok my child picks it up he gave it to her the fries smell like old oil and not fresh 2 spare ribs chopped in half, 3 half slices of brisket chopped in a 1/4 of a slice, pulled chicken had grease running from it! coleslaw was not fresh !!! to top it off not 1 pack of barbecue sauce. food was okay. i ordered one of the special burgers, forgot the name of it. the brisket was very bland and the bbq mustard was only on one part of the sandwich. slathered in their BBQ sauce, it wasn't too bad. the service was what made it two stars. they were short on staff, so they had pretty much one actual waitress who was working. granted, there were a few others who bussed the tables, but none of them stopped to ask if we needed anything. the ambiance was actually nice, other than the screaming children. i ordered the fruit punch HI-C, and it was bland and tasted like water with an essence of koolaid. read more

Great Wait Staff, Ok Food, God Awful Management between the skinny light skinned girl and the General Manager in charge not a shred of care or professionalism in their voices or delivery. I saw the general manager yelling at an employee while I was waiting for my to-go. Extremely unprofessional. And I waited for change for 25 minutes dealing with the skinny girl Kayla. Stopped through there on the way home from Georgia. My husband ordered half chicken. The chicken didn't look completely done. My husband sent the chicken back to the kitchen to have it cooked more. He said it still didn't taste great. The place smelled amazingly like bbq but the taste didn't match. read more

This is the second time I have tried this franchise, both experiences were unsatisfactory. Their brisket is bland, the sliced pork is bland, the BBQ egg rolls are disgusting, the cornbread is half cooked, and the baked beans taste like sour ketchup has been added to a can of Pork-n-Beans. My only positive experience on the two occasions is, the BBQ sauce was pretty good, yet not as good as you can purchase at Kroger. If the Clinton franchise is indicative of the entire chain, you should try burgers instead of BBQ! read more

My family and I visited the restaurant on 3/20/22 between 12:00 and 1:00. My daughter ordered dry rub ribs and chicken wings. When the order came, the ribs had barbecue sauce on them. Incredibly, a waitress picked up my wife's bread with her hands to see if a baked potato was underneath. The ribs were taken back to the kitchen and came back with dry rub sprinkled on them. After complaining to the waitress, the manager on duty came and was extremely disrespectful and condescending. She attempted to "educate" my daughter on Sonny's ribs. She picked up a rib with her bare hands to show my daughter that there was only a little bit of sauce on it, which could have come from someone touching it. She then placed the rib back on her plate. She also stood over our table without a mask and talked over our food. She even stated that my daughter should not order ribs from them anymore. She proceeded to ask my daughter if she was making her mad. However, she kept escalating the situation. Even after my daughter told her she didn't want anything else, she continued by stating, 'I'm giving you a chance to get anything else you want." By this time, my daughter was furious and did not want anything else. All she had to do was to take the ribs back. The manger obviously needs customer service training. By the way, my son's order was wrong too. The food was not good. Won't be back! read more
