Don't get carry-out. A list of things wrong with the order: 1. It was cold. 2. No fries as ordered with the hamburger we did not receive. 3. Double broccoli not as ordered. 4. Hamburger had cheese on it. 5. Hamburger had nothing except cheese on it. 6. Received plain cheeseburger (did not order). She kept apologizing for the wait. I did not mind the wait. The service was spectacular and I thank Taylor for that. Can't say enough good about her, but food was mediocre. I ordered the sampler to get variety and the ribs were a bit dry. The chicken was cooked perfectly but not big flavour. The brisket was a bit dry. The thin sliced smoked beef was by far the best and if I can back. I'd order it and only it. It was nicely smoked and moist n full of flavour. Mac n cheese was below average and fries were well good fries. Nothing bad to say but not gonna knock your socks off. read more

Wow. Completely disappointed yet again. We live in Perry and got so upset the last time that I swore I would never go back again. Tried to give them a second chance today and they completely bombed it. Waitress constantly complained about her being so hot and sweaty, floor was gross (food everywhere), but the food is always good. Never Again!! As a chain goes, Sonny's has always been our fave for quick Q. Unfortunately, the one in Perry, GA is the absolute worst in service and quality I have ever been to in at least three States. Their food Is dry, like it's been sitting under lights for a long, long time. Today, as I happen to live in the charming city of Perry, I was hungry and thought they may just not goof up a drive thru order at 6:00p.m. when in most places, they would be prepared for a the dinner crowd. Not only was our order WRONG..but, for $15.00 we got a bag full of Dog food. The only thing edible was some sad looking mac and cheese. DO NOT DO IT!!!!! Food was equivalent to what I feed my dog. Was told I couldn't have the sides that came with the sandwich because I requested water instead of a sweet tea or coke. Food was burnt. Salad bar was mediocre, probably the best thing we ate. I don't want them to even get one star because the service was horrible also. Corn nuggets make me glad to be alive. Sweet sauce is made from Gods tears. Manager John is beautiful.

Probably the toughest and smokiest pulled pork ever! Cole slaw was excellent, but I go to Sonnys for the pulled pork.

We were pleasantly surprised with this BBQ chain restaurant on our recent trip to Florida. Our family actually ate at this location and also near Miami in Florida City. The quality of the food and service was quite good. We especially like the selection of sides, many of which were of the healthy variety! Highly recommend Sonny's if you are in the area, or need an efficient stop en route to your vacation destination. read more

This is an old restaurant. Feels dirty. Food ok. Awful bathroom. No toilet paper. Needs better management.

The food is TERRIBLE and the service is even worse! If you complain to the managers they don't bother to even act like they care. Now the main reason I won't ever go back. I have served 23 years in the military and just recently returned from my 4th deployment to Southwest Asia. My daughter worked at Sonny's and they fired her for taking the day off that I returned home from overseas. Their policy that is written in their employee's orientation book states that employees must give them at least a 4 hr. notice when taking off work. My daughter gave them 2 full days notice and made numerous attempts to get someone to take her shift. The managers lied and said that they tried to call my daughter on her cell phone to tell her to come to work anyway. I checked her phone records and she did not have a single call from anyone who worked at Sonny's. She had never gotten in trouble nor had to be counseled for anything prior to that day. I talked to the owner about this and he said that my daughter should have taken 1 hour off to spend with me and then came in to work the day that I returned home. She was originally scheduled to work 1 shift that day and after she requested the day off to welcome me home, they scheduled her to work a double shift that day. This place has a sign on their door stating that they support their troops. If this is how they support their troops, I will never spend another cent to support them! Just FYI, the same person owns the Sonny's in Warner Robins as well. The food is TERRIBLE and the service is even worse! read more

BBQ at it's best!! I was on my way to the Atlanta airport and stopped by Sonny's for a quick late lunch and the beef brisket was fabulous! Cheryl Lewis was our waitress and brought her A game, as we never had to ask for anything as she was so attentive to our every need. On our way home from Atlanta, we stopped by again and asked for Cheryl this time having the chicken. The chicken was the BEST I have had at any Sonny's and that says alot, as I am a Sonny's BBQ veteran. I eat at them all over the place as you can usually count on consistently good food. Also.....the best part? The cleanest Sonny's I have ever been in, especially for it not to be brand new. My challenge to all of you........check out this Sonny's and ask for Cheryl!! read more

My husband and I travel a lot and often eat at a Sonny's. Tonight we decided to stop in Perry, GA to spend the night and Sonny's was just down the road from the hotel. It was one of the best Sonny's we have ever stopped at!!! We both had the pork 3-ways and have never had it so tender and tasty.
