The work is fine but what really peed me off is how these oil change dudes sit and act so high and mighty like they're some mechanic!!! For one they where talking about the coolant and than the electric fans saying they are blowing hard because it has not not good coolant when that's quite literally NOT what's going on the truck never over heats sits below operating temp the FAN IS LOUD BECAUSE THE ACCESORY FAN IS ON BECAUSE OF THE AC BEING TOGGLED ON so yeah just really annoying they are oil changes not real mechanics please stick to changing oil and recommending things not trying to act a weird way towards customers when you're QUITE LITERALLY WRONG oil change is good though read more

The first time I came in the employee were enjoying power shakes. Apparently more important than my car. I ended up having an oil leak the next day due to a cracked plug that was over tightened. This time they were enjoying lunch and didn't tighten the filter causing another oil leak. I wound never recommend this location to anyone. read more

Per confirmation from the manager....I was told they were out of oil, that they were not out of. Was charged for an oil filter that I should not have been charged for and it was never disclosed there would an extra charge for it. After submitted a 1-star review, I was contacted by John Beatty, who is supposedly the district manager, who said he would be mailing me a check for the refund. It was never received. Left him multiple voicemails and send him an email to check on the status with no return calls and no reply to the email. So, essentially, thieves and liars for employees and poor service all the way up to the district manager. Avoid this place at all costs. There are a couple other "stay in your car" businesses in the same location, such as Valvoline. I would recommend using them instead. read more

The worst experience you could have with a simple oil change company. After having to pay almost $10,000 to replace the rear-end differential and housing, due to the incompetence of Take 5 employees who failed to adequately refill the lubricant fluid for the gears in the rear-end differential. The rear end of my truck locked up while driving on I-275, 15 minutes after leaving the Take 5 oil change in rush hour traffic. Further, after being made to wait over 2 months as Take 5's insurance company, Fleet Response out of Ohio, debated whether to cover the damages they caused to my Dodge Ram Big Horn 1500. Their insurance company continues to deny liability by requesting a fluid sample of the fluid that the Take 5 employees put into the rear end, months after repairs were completed. Requesting a fluid sample with no possible way of getting a fluid sample months after the repairs were completed is simply insane, fraudulent, and should be criminal. If it were not for my coverage with GIECO, I would not have been able to completely cover the expenses. All I can say is avoid Take 5 oil locations at all costs and its incompetent employees, save your money and sanity by going to an oil change company that has mechanics certified to work on your vehicle even if it's just a simple oil change that a monkey, I am sure, can be taught how to do correctly. Lesson learned: Never trust any Take 5 oil change companies; their insurance will deny liability for damages they might cause to your vehicle at all costs. read more

I've tried to give this establishment a few chances, but they have not been able to provide a good experience 2 out of the 3 times I've been. The first time they quoted a different price for the job then billed me $15 more for "extra" oil. They offered me a discount on the next visit, and I went back. The service was better and the price matched what they said it would be. This third visit however, will be my last. I went in and they started the job. After approximately 6 minutes they said they didn't have the oil my truck required. Out of oil?!?! I said that's fine, I would go to the establishment up the street to have it changed. They then told me that wouldn't be possible because they had already drained the oil from my truck. They did however have another oil that was more expensive (Mobil1) they could put in. But they couldn't offer me the same price. At this point despite my displeasure, I had no choice but to be extorted for over $100 for my oil to be changed. Wife took car in to have a oil change before having to drive to Orlando. However, issue with overtightening Oil Plug which led to the need for a full oil pan replacement. Issues comes with next steps; over a week later and still have not gotten a call back to approve the repairs over 1k in damages. I warned my wife before going there and unfortunately my fear came true. I have long been very skeptical of drive up oil change locations. Maybe it is the former cop in me, or being from California. Needed an oil change, haven't found our mechanic here yet, got ripped off by another local place on my last oil change, so after reading their reviews, decided to try Take 5. What a great experience, not what I expected at all. Alyssa was terrific. Her manager was great as well, but I can't remember her name. They went out of their way to communicate what they were doing, to make sure I knew they were doing what they were supposed to, including showing me the oil on the dip stick to show it was brand new clean. It seemed to cost a little more, maybe $5-$10 more, than what I am used to, but for this quality of service and trustworthiness, well worth it. I saw some complaints about costs in other reviews, well, you pay for convenience. I have them change a wiper for about double what it would have cost me, same with the air filter. But it is done, I didn't have to worry about it, and it was a fair price. Businesses have to make money. Today was my first visit to a Take 5 Oil Change. As I pulled in I was greeted by a baby faced overjoyed young man giving me an ice cold bottle of Dasani water. I didn't even realize I was thirsty but as this baby faced overjoyed young man walked towards my vehicle with that ice cold bottle of Dasani water I had two questions in my head. Why is he so happy and how did he know I was thirsty? Why is he so happy? It's 96 degrees outside and he's a probably overworked and underpaid like most young men that hand out bottles of ice cold Dasani water for a living. How did he know I was thirsty? At the moment I pulled in I wasn't yet aware I was thirsty. Did this young man trick me? Did he force me to want something I didn't need? One of the professional well groomed technicians guided me into the bay. Immediately a handful of professional well groomed technicians began working on my vehicle. They were ALL happy. What? Why? It's 96 degrees outside and they're probably all overworked and underpaid like most professional well groomed technicians that change oil in a drive thru. I begin to panic. As the professional well groomed technicians work on my car I stare back down at the ice cold bottle of Dasani water that the baby faced overjoyed young man had given to me at the beginning of this scandal. What's in this bottle of water? Is it magic water? Is it poison? Is it going to blur my decision making so the lead technician can upsell me on new windshield wipers for $80... each? These aren't my clowns and this ain't my circus but I know they're up to something and I'm on to them. ALL of them. There was only one way to find out. I had to try this ice cold bottle of Dasani water for myself. I cautiously open the lid. I sniff the water. Nothing. Smells just like an ice cold bottle of Dasani water. I taste it. Nothing. He takes my credit card and swipes it charging me 25% less since I'm a military veteran. What is this professional well groomed lead technician up to? Out of nowhere the original baby faced overjoyed young man showed up again. As I held the empty ice cold bottle of Dasani water in my right hand the baby faced overjoyed young man guided me out of the bay. All the professional well groomed technicians told me to have a nice day. Honestly, I'm still not sure what that place was up to. This is my 131st review and my 14th 5 star rating. EVERYONE working there was friendly and in a good mood and made a point to say hello to me even though all the bays had cars and everyone was working. Theres only 2 oils i want in my car AND THEY HAD BOTH! (Castrol edge and mobile one) They advertise that you will be in and out very quickly and that's the truth, at the very most i was there for a total of 7-10 minites. On the corporate website you can have coupons texted to your phone (mine was $10 off a full syn change) that they gladly accepted. When you park there is a very clear sign with prices and what could cost extra, there was no surprises, there was no nonsense. I will absolutely go again and you should too. I pulled up to get my oil changed at the Brandon location at 6pm after searching their hours and seeing they close at 7pm, but when I pulled in they had all lanes blocked with cones and wouldn't come out from behind the room on the side. I had to drive off and make a u-turn to go to another location, but as I was driving back by they pulled one cone away from blocking the lane and are now servicing a truck? If you close at 7pm why would you shut down at 6pm?? The time before I came here a woman did my oil change and she went back and forth under my car with tools and a few days later my skid plate fell off from underneath my car. Ive never had anyone else at any other location go under my car that many times with tools like that. Overall do not recommend going to Brandon the times I've gone so far have been the most frustrating experiences. read more
