My new favorite restaurant in the area by a landslide!!! Service is upbeat, food is so authentically curated, atmosphere is so cozy, making the whole dining experience just that- an experience. Not to mention this is a gluten free heaven (and dairy free too!) with most options on the menu able to be made gf and df. Insane wines as well. PS the dessert menu is not to be missed :)

What's not to love about this wonderful hidden gem in Sebastopol! It's quirky, charming, intimate, organic and totally worth coming for dinner here. Because the food is so good!!! We came early on a Monday so had the "bodega " all to ourselves. We were treated to being served by Meekk (the greatest!) for a most delicious meal of cauliflower soup, pear tartlets, artichoke hearts, cauliflower bourekas and wild morel ravioli. We were so spoiled by the tastes, texture and flavors. This is the best vegetarian restaurant around.

This wine club is an absolute gem! Every dish we ordered was mouth watering and the menu highlighted cuisine from multiple cultures including Italian, French, and Middle Eastern. My personal favorites were the arancini and meza plate appetizers and clafoutis for dessert. The atmosphere and staff make it feel as if you are in a cozy home and were very friendly and accommodating for dietary restrictions, especially gluten and dairy intolerance. My family and I will most certainly be back, it is our new favorite restaurant in the Bay Area!

This review needs to be more than five stars! La bodega is a wonderful place, not a restaurant as they mention. It was the only place open on 4th of July for dinner. They took my family in last minute, even though they normally have folks preorder before coming in. Our server Meeke was wonderful and really brought in the home style service while taking our order. The menu is all vegetarian or vegan options, and has focus on local produce. The table also has nice dahlias and a cute wine bottle lamp. Ambience was wonderful. We ordered two soups- tomato soup and French lentil soup, beet salad for starting. Both were delicious. It also came with a baguette which was freshly baked for the table. For entrees we ordered the spinach ravioli and arrancini. The saffron arrancini was delectable, so good with a minute piece of cheese as a surprise. At the end we were so full and didn't order dessert. Meeke was so sweet and got us four pieces of chocolate with walnuts and agave made at the restaurant- a small and sweet finish! Thanks so much!

After a lot of consideration of restaurants between Santa Rosa, Sebastopol and Bodega Bay, I was excited to try La Bodega with my husband to celebrate his birthday. We're both vegan athletes and fitness professionals so we always seek out the best plant-based options wherever we travel. I was able to make a reservation weeks in advance, and reached out with a couple of questions regarding the menu. Bryan kindly responded to my emails and helped us get set up for our upcoming visit. It's really great and worth noting that you pre-order your meal before you arrive to reduce food waste and help the kitchen plan their day. This also got us more excited about checking out the menu and making our picks! Of course if there are more things you want to order when you're there, it's totally fine. We pre-ordered the Plant-based Beet Salad (made w/ vegan Mozzarella), the Saffron & Rose Petal Arancini, and the Organic Spaghetti w/ Mushroom Sauce. Just an FYI, their menu is divided into Plant-based (vegan) options and vegetarian options. The standout here was their Arancini! The last time we had Arancini was when we were in Sicily for our honeymoon a few years ago, which is where these rice balls originate from, so we had high expectations. Our server, Meekk, was awesome! Very friendly, welcoming and attentive. She made our whole experience even better. Ori was friendly as well, but we were very surprised that he sort of threw us into a whole wine tasting thing that we didn't even ask for. We thought he was just trying to be extra helpful and educate us more on choosing a glass of wine to accompany our meal, but by the end of our dinner, we had at least 7-10 glasses in front of us and were "feeling it!" Just be aware if you're not expecting this. We were charged an additional $50 for 2 wine tastings. It was my hubby's birthday, so we just went along with it despite our hesitation (and confusion)! The best part was the whole dining room singing "Happy Birthday" to my hubby, and Meekk bringing out a little dessert bite with a candle on it. We also had added on a Tiramisu (which by the way is very booze forward!). Thank you to La Bodega staff for an overall unique experience!

We had a celebratory birthday there last night and it was perfection! The food, the atmosphere, and most notably Meekk. It was a pleasure meeting you, and forever thanks for making this such a meaningful and delicious event, accommodating everyone's needs.

What an extraordinary find. Stumbled upon this little gem perusing Yelp. Outside is deceiving. Inside is homey and quaint. The owner, Meek, is an amazing hostess. Staff exceptional and very friendly and welcoming. Over 600 local, small batch wines to choose from. Meek is very knowledgeable. Ask. All the wines are from vintners who produce 500 cases or less a year. The menu is fantastic. Fresh local ingredients. I had the Wild Morel & Artichoke Ravioli. Delicious! Followed that w a bowl of lentil soup. Also delicious. Very highly recommend the Sonoma Wine Shop - La Bodega!!

This place is a hidden gem that I'm so happy that I found ALL VEGAN FRIENDLY .. I LOVED THIS PLACE I was so sad to leave. I was so sad that I had to drive back home where this place was not going to be. The food was AMAZING the chef was so nice to match the wine PERFECTLY .. The owner came out spoke to my grandma so cute They had heater set up outside because I brought my dog . Like when I say above and beyond they surpass that and I can't wait to book a trip around this place in the near future

This dinner experience was one of the best I've ever had. From the reservation/booking experience to actually sitting down and eating here, everything felt extremely personal and so much care was put into our experience. We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and they made it so incredibly special for us. The menu is strikingly unique- with vegetarian and vegan creations that will knock your socks off. They do ask that you pre-order so they can prepare and minimize food waste- this was no problem for us so we could focus on the experience and the wine! The wine selection is also out of this world- we sampled a variety of different wines catered to our preferences. The restaurant itself is tucked away and so homey and decorated beautifully. Truly a once in a lifetime experience and I one THOUSAND percent cannot recommend this incredible restaurant enough.

Yes, we prefer reservations. Also, we try to reduce food waste, so we ask for pre-orders when possible. Folks look at our menu and email or phone their orders ahead of time.

In 2024 we received a shipment of wine where all the wine in the shipment was broken. In typical situations, wineries offer replacement of broken bottles, but Fog Crest was impossible to reach in spite of (literally) 50 phone calls and emails. Since I couldn't reach them, I canceled my subscription to their wine club. Flash forward a few months, they charge me another ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but never ship me any wine (in spite of the fact that I had already canceled online). Again, dozens of calls and emails, no answer and no response. Still trying. A few months after that, they charge me ANOTHER ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but don't ship that wine to me either. After probably 100 calls and emails, I finally talk to the wine club coordinator on the phone. She of course acknowledges my dozens of messages, and acknowledges my situation. She says she will replace the wine that was broken and figure out why they've been charging me for wine I haven't been receiving and make it right. But that she can't talk right now and she'd call me back with more information. That was a month ago. I've now called again dozens of times, and emailed. No response. Called and emailed the owner, no response. This is borderline criminal: $1,500 in charges for undelivered product, a non-existent customer service experience, and an online system so archaic that it doesn't process your cancelation and continues to charge you for product.

Zero Accountability and Terrible Customer Service - Avoid Fog Crest!…read more I'm absolutely appalled by my experience with Fog Crest Winery. We joined their wine club in 2023 and was charged $420 all of 2024/25 for wine that they NEVER shipped. When I called to inquire about where the wine was, I was met with complete silence--multiple calls and messages went unanswered. After finally getting a call back, the person said they only called me back because "she saw we had called a lot in one day." That was the first red flag. She promised to credit my account and look into another charge that had been applied. It's been SEVEN days since that conversation, and STILL no credit, no updates, and no resolution. I've followed up with multiple calls, messages, and emails... NOTHING. At this point, it's clear that they don't care about their customers. I highly recommend staying far away from Fog Crest if you value your time and money. Total waste of both

Moondance has been in this location for over 20 years and co-promotes businesses in town, including the local Nepalese spot where their wines are served (Yeti), which is pretty cool. They only make 4 wines right now - two reds, two whites - and there were fans of all between the two of us, especially the Sauvignon Blanc, the Chardonnay (which was less buttery and less dry than others), and the Pinot Noir. The pours were the standard smaller size, which at least one of us appreciated, lol. Our tasting ended with a tour of the old cars, which at least one of us also appreciated. We've heard a lot of stellar reviews for Iron Horse, so we were underwhelmed by our experience. To start, we checked in at the front, got a glass of sparkling to start, and was told to wait for everyone joining us to get here. We waited for a few minutes. Our host ended up forgetting us and started walking off with the other party when they finally showed up, and the guy we checked in with had to go tell him we were part of his group. I enjoyed the charcuterie box that comes with the tasting, albeit there was some moldy bits here and there. We got the harvest magnum experience ($90/person). They offer more affordable experiences as well. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production. The wine itself was underwhelming for the price and as nothing stood out to us, we finished our tasting and didn't grab anything to go. As we weren't wine club members here, the host didn't pay us much attention. Worth trying once, maybe, to see if their wines are to your liking.
