The food was terrible, when I had tried to order guacamole I asked for onion and cilantro. Apparently it's already made and not fresh, additionally once it was served it had jalapeño and tomato, and such supposedly. Only one in 4 scoops actually had tomato onion or anything at all. Once I had tried it the food was not authentic whatsoever which my family agreed on. For example the shrimp cocktail was bland and had no flavor and we had to ask for overall the food was very white washed. Anyone who left a five star review has clearly an imbecile and has never had authentic Mexican food. The total cake out to an astonishing cost of 149 dollars which went worth it at all. Before you drive thirty minutes go ahead and take a stop at chipotle then go here even though I despise it even chipotles better then this place.The service is definitely not as good as everyone is saying it is. Don't even get me started when we had entered we had to wait while two workers were talking and not doing anything and were free at the moment, there was multiple occasions where they had started celebrating someone birthday and were very obnoxious and loud about it, we could hear from across the restaurant. Long story short don't drive thirty minutes or even go here like I mentioned you're better off going to chipotle. read more

Love this restaurant and bar at the Village - Lake Las Vegas. Alberto our server was wonderful, attentive, customer service oriented and he stopped by our table with impeccable timing. I was having trouble picking my entree and he was helpful with suggestions and I loved my entree choice. (that night for dinner and it was delicious for leftover lunch the next day - portions are more than one meal's worth for me!). "A Respite from The Vegas Smells and Madness" Was Hour 36 in Vegas and we needed to get away, so we hitched a ride to Lake Las Vegas (not much of a "lake", btw, but large enuf for paddle boards). Lake Las Vegas is maybe 25 miles due east of Vegas and is essentially a large development of homes. Maybe the place is hopping in the summer but life looked pretty dead in early January. We stumbled into this Mexican place, and they delivered the goods. Reasonable prices, friendly wait staff and mexican food done right. We ordered the usual suspects and it all tasted great. The "free" chips were very good too. Inside is very casual and there are some TVs showing sports. I enjoyed the place, and it recharged my batteries to face the Lords of Vegas for the rest of my visit on The Strip. read more

Amazing Mexican Food We went to Sonrisa Grill after a long morning on the lake and had a great experience! The staff was nice and the food was amazing. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad. It was so good! The chicken had so much flavor and the greens were fresh. My sister ordered the Carna Asada Fries as her meal and I could not stop eating them. The steak was cooked just right! These were delicious!! My friend order the shrimp chimichanga and she said it was one of the best chimichangas she has ever had! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!! read more

NO AIR CONDITION! FYI: you may pass out while waiting for your food! I'm really actually kind of appalled that the owners let the staff themselves work in such conditions. The employees were so nice and the food took over an hour to come out. We came in at about 1 pm and didn't get out until after 3 pm. The waiter told us there was only ONE CHEF back there for the entire restaurant and on top of that the AC went out. There were fans inside, but the warm air circulating almost made me and my mother faint. She literally had to throw water in her face to cool down. It was about 113 degrees in Las Vegas today. I literally saw two parties walk up and leave the place. The drinks were good, service was great, price was fair, but not the overall experience and wait. I know people don't want to work, therefore you are short staffed in the kitchen, but why is the restaurant accepting so many tables and food orders if they can't deliver properly? read more

We were at Lake Las Vegas for my brother's birthday. He really wanted pizza but everything was pretty much closed for the night besides this place. Everything in my family ordered enchiladas: 3 ordered chicken, 1 ordered beef. My brother said some of the beef had fat still on the meat so he didn't eat all of his. I on the other hand ordered shrimp tacos. The tacos were okay, grilled and seasoned well, but they were a bit dry. I had to put some of the salsa from the free chips and salsa they gave us for added flavor. I give the rice and beans 4 stars. The staff was nice I'll say. Food isn't that great. Chips are actually pretty good even better if you get them when they are hot. Servers are generally nice but there are a few that truly need to get out of the service industry.
