I have been here once or twice in the past. They offer a Hojicha slushy drink here. I love the Hojicha slushy. Don't know of any other places where I can get this kind of slushy drink. There may be other places around town that offer it, but so far...this is the only one that I know of. It's already premixed. No adjusting the sweetness level. At least, I don't think so as the person working at the counter did not mention anything about sweetness level. I am happy with the sweetness level it comes at anyways, and love the boldness of the Hojicha flavor. The ice part of the slushy seemed slightly more grainy this time than I remember it being in the past but otherwise I was still very happy with the drink. They have a Happy hour 3-6pm Monday to Friday where all slushies are 20% off, and I happened to be there during the Happy hour so I got my Hojicha slushy for 20% off! I got a roasted green milky tea. It seemed to be ready made and poured straight from a container. A bit too watery for my preference. The coffee is decent, though, so maybe I'll get that instead next time! Located in the food court so it is quite busy, especially around lunch time. Lots of parking spaces available at the mall. Went in the morning and ordered a large latte as well as a double chocolate cookie. There was one girl working and despite being so early a line of customers waited to be served. She greeted each patron in a timely manner saying she'd be with them as soon a possible as being alone she was taking orders and making the drinks concurrently. My drink after ordering didn't take too long and I was already given my cookie before she started to make my drink. When I sat too eat my cookie and have the coffee I looked at the baked good intently it was a beautiful dark brown and looked deliciously moist. After taking a bite I could taste the chocolate goodness from the chocolate chips and the caocao. The depth of bitterness that you can only get from true chocolate permeated my mouth . I savored each bite slowly and finished with a sip of my latte. The latte was decent, nothing in particular to say in favor or in the negative about it. Over all a nice stop to get coffee and baked good. I believe the baked good are vegan friendly as I recall the cookie I had was soy based. I would return when at the food court to get coffee from here. read more

A surprising find in a food court -- a good flat white here. I am no coffee connoisseur but I know my flat white. It is smooth with no acidic or bitter aftertaste. There is enough microfoam and crema to make it a proper flat white. My friend who is fussy about her espresso agrees it is good. I have also tried the hometown latte here which is latte with brown sugar. It is on the sweet side but such a delightful treat to have once in a while. The service has always been friendly and good. Order at one side and pick up on the other end of the counter. There is also a tap for water over there. Awesome! The pricing is reasonable too. From $2 for a basic coffee. I have never heard of Soon Coffee but it has merchandise for sale too. If you are there in the early part of the day, you can also grab some pastries and donuts. They are from other vendors. I tried the chocolate crunch donut from Lee's Donuts and this is actually good. It is cake donut and it is soft and fluffy. I like this better than the other donuts I had from Lee's Donuts in Granville Island. Maybe I ordered the wrong things there. The only drawback is it closes early at 6 pm. Canada-based Soon Coffee makes roasted coffee accessible to more people. They opened a phenomenal coffee shop in Burnaby with sustainable prices selling their coffee. We haven't yet tried their roasted green tea slushie (we hear a lot of compliment about it), but their hometown latte and coffee slushie are flavours and very smooth. In addition, they sell a limited selection of pastries from different local bakeries, which saves the drive over these places. I've been hearing so much noise about Soon Coffee for the past month since they've opening in Brentwood's new food court. On the hottest Vancouver day possible, we ventured out. I feel that americanos typically set the 'bar' deciphering well roasted beans or not. BUT, the torturous weather encourage a coffee slush purchase. The drink lived up to its name, icy + slushy. It's was on the sweeter end of the spectrum but I enjoyed every sip of it! Soon Coffee's location is a can't miss, its centrally located, with blush pink + ashy blue vibes left right and center. Their pastry case carries offerings from Beaucoup Bakery and Lee's Donut to name a few. Beans roasted in house I believe. Highly recommend a visit, looking to return SOON myself. read more

This coffee shop at the Amazing Brentwood food court looks very trendy and it uses pink/purple/blue colours for their designs. Their coffee bean packaging has unique graphics as well. Their pricing is affordable. Coffee comes with large and small sizes. Even though I ordered a small latte with regular milk, the cup was big. Their large cup is very tall. In terms of quality, it's average or it's good or good enough when a coffee is selling at a food court. I do have high standards for coffee but this can beat Timmy's and Starbucks I hope this coffee shop will maintain the good quality. Their pastries came from different bakeries. I ordered a savoury scone originally from Beaucoup Bakery. Their pastries were always good. I will go back and try other coffee beverages and pastries. Usually cute coffee shops don't sit right in the middle of a food court, but Soon and the Amazing Brentwood make it work. Everything is tastefully decorated and the newly renovated food court is just as nice to sit in as a cafe. There is a ton of natural light from the windows and the tables have outlets in them. My favourite part was the light boxes they have for photographing your food! Soon coffee was very good as well and the prices were quite reasonable. I've gone to Soon Coffee for 3-4 times already. Cups come in cute package and the pastries taste good. Selection is small, however donuts and vegan good taste decent. I've tried Butter Crunch Donut and Vegan Lemon Loaf these were tasty. Butter Crunch Donut had a crunchy toppings with cakey texture to it while lemon loaf wasn't too sweet, but slightly citrusy and moist. Vegan friends are welcome to eat here same with non-vegans. I've never spent $10 for the coffee and pastry here, and the price is moderate not too expensive. Plenty of seating unless many students are taking over table to study. They sell super cute merch here including tumblers, tote bags and stuff. Coffees were good. Latte was soft and not too sweet. Coffee slushie was so good it was kind of sweet though. The iced coffee slushee is immaculate. I'm not playing. I tried the ice cap at Timmy's and the iced coffee frap at McDonald's and of course soon coffee is top tier. It's a great location in the Brentwood mall food court. Lots of seating. I love going here to get work done while sipping on my iced coffee slushee. Definitely try it! I went to checkout the new Brentwood yesterday and was amazed at the new food court, lots of variety and healthy foods! It was a hot day so I decided to checkout "Soon" and try one of their coffee slushies! The coffee slushy is like a high end ice capp! It is SOOO GOOD! Checked out the recently opened TABLES food court at The Amazing Brentwood on Sunday. And of course, had to stop by Soon Coffee because I love coffee. We ordered the Hometown Favourite Latte, which is basically a Caramel Latte. Quite enjoyed it and would totally get it again. I enjoyed the coffee so much that I went back two days later (today, Tuesday) and ordered the Vanilla Bean London Fog. Loved it as well! I also got some Beaucoup Bakery pastries: Butter Croissant and a mini Chocolate Almond Croissant. Love that I can now get these pastries without going all the way to the west side of Vancouver. A great addition to the Burnaby coffee scene. And super close to me so I will definitely be coming by more often! read more

I was drawn in by their cute colour scheme/logo. Tried their Hometown latte, which had a nice milk foam and brown sugar sweetened milk. It's good if you like a sweet, milky, not too strong coffee drink, but would be a disappointment if you like the taste of espresso. I'm guessing all of their espresso based drinks would be similar. I'd be curious to try their tea lattes (Vanilla London Fog, matcha, chai). I also really want to try their scrumptious looking donuts and loaves. read more

On recommendation by the staff, I tried the Roasted Green Milky Tea. It was horrible 0/5. Definitely no roasted flavour or anything really except for pure milk. I got a carton of milk in a clear cup. Wish I'd stuck with my friend's suggestion to try one of their coffees. I will come back for that but omg this was so bad. While debating whether I should throw it out or save the milk for morning coffees for the next two weeks, I bought a Chatime drink. 3/5 because prices are exactly what people want to pay and service is really great. Very cute and pink coffee stand in the food court! Coffee is delicious and they have some other drinks as well. The menu isn't too long which is actually really nice. Everything seems to be of great quality and they also have a selection of pastries and features Lee's donuts so you don't need to travel to Granville island. read more

Soon coffee located in the new amazing Brentwood mall tables food court. I tried their regular size ( only have regular or large size) coffee slush for $3.90. I like how the slush is made, they have nice machine in the back where you see the slush is being made and it's always turning, it's a thick consistency. When I tried the coffee it was pretty strong, reminded me of Vietnamese iced coffee. I'd say this is pretty good better than an average iced cap but can be seen as pricey but I get it, it's at a food court. read more

Went to see what all the hype was about and I'm glad I did. They sell Lee's donuts too!! So glad we don't have to drive all the way to Granville island to get them now. I got the hometown favourite latte with oat milk and it was really delicious. Prices are cheaper than Starbucks. Line was long, since it's the only coffee place in the mall right now. By far my favourite coffee shop in Vancouver. Love their hometown latte (L $4.6). It has light caramel taste. Not like those added syrup coffees at SB. Their drip coffee is very affordable at $2 a cup. They recommend soon style with cream and sugar but I think black is better if you want to taste more of the coffee. I also tried their roasted green milky tea slushie. In my opinion this was my least favourite of all I tried. Had a bit of a powdery aftertaste. The Coffee Slushie has a really strong coffee flavour, and is not overly sweet. Great for coffee lovers!
