Great brunch experience in the Encanto area. MUST get there before 730am to avoid the wrap around the building line. I had the American breakfast with salmon and a French old fashioned. My wife had the crustless quiche and an oat milk chai. The French toast plate just walked by and it looks amazing. 62$ for our meal. Atmosphere is laid back and kinda Ibiza decor layout with a yacht rocky soundtrack Staff is dressed to the nines and service was prompt. MUST get there early to avoid the line
The egg sandwich was really good even if it felt super impractical to eat. i was surprised at how much i enjoyed the waffle because it had chile in it which was an interesting flavor profile but it worked! i know this is silly to complain about, since the workers did everything they could to make the heat bearable, but having so many seats outside without proper misting or some air flow in arizona is just not practical. i hope they can find a solution.
This location came recommended. While it was super cute in there, I wasn't completely impressed. I paid $14 for a corn waffle with red chili butter. There was nothing special about it and I felt it was over priced. Service was quite good. The young man was on it the entire time. Filling water, cleaning up plates, etc. I've been, but won't go back.
Tried Sophia's Kitchen Breakfast Counter after seeing all the social media hype. Be prepared for a long wait... it took about an hour just to get inside, but the staff was very kind and brought water out to everyone waiting, which was appreciated. I ordered the breakfast fried rice and felt the soy sauce was a bit overpowering, but the lavender latte was delicious and definitely my favorite part of the meal. Hubs and I heard about Sophie's and had to give it a try. Everything sounded delicious. We ordered their famous French toast and their egg sandwich with a side of eggs. This was absolutely delicious! French toast was on the sweeter side but tasty. The egg sandwich was filling but a bit messy to eat. The tater tots and the spicy mayo sauce were the winner for me. This place gets packed! We arrived on a Saturday morning for breakfast around 8ish and we were lucky to find parking right away. There is seating inside and outside. Order your food and then find a table. Food will be delivered to you. Service was friendly and quick. We will definitely come back!
After all the posts on social media, we had to come check Sophia's out. We went this past Sunday morning. Upon arriving around 9:30am, there was a line out the door to order food. However, it moved pretty quickly. I'd say we waited about 20-25 minutes. After ordering, we were told to pick any open seats and that our food would be brought to us. Surprisingly, the food did not take long. It was probably about 40 minutes from the time we arrived to receiving our food, which is not terrible considering how busy this place gets. We ordered a breakfast burrito, an american breakfast, and a French toast, a cold brew, and a honey bee latte. The food was delicious. However, the coffee wasn't so great. It tasted somewhat watered down, hence why I'm only giving four stars. Other than that, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant's vibes were also really nice.
We had wanted to go to Sophia's and actually made a couple of attempts, but as you'll see from my video, this place gets seriously long line. In the past we've just gone someplace else and vowed to come earlier in the day to avoid the line. We got up early-ish for a Saturday morning and made our way to Phoenix. I really love this building which was repurposed from an old house from the 1940s era. There's a glass wall that completely opens that runs diagonal across the building, and a patio with giant shades. A long silver communal table runs down the middle of the room and there are lots of little tables dotted around. Although this place is nearly designed, it has a fantastic retro look with white globe lights. They're also lots of plants and the place just feels bright and airy. There is a glass case with delicious looking pastries, and although there's no official bar, they do serve some cocktails like mimosas. We arrived at 9:00 and the line was already relatively long. My son grabbed a table while I got in line to order the counter - - this is a place where you order at the counter and they'll bring you your food when it's ready. We ordered an iced vanilla latte, a pecan sticky bun, chicken schnitzel which came with Caesar salad, and a honey Dill chicken sando. There was a mix-up, which I fully take responsibility for, and we did not receive the chicken sando - - again, my fault. We asked one of the servers about it and we learned it was never added to our order. No worries though, because the schnitzel and Caesar salad was gigantic and we ended up splitting that and the sticky bun. It was plenty of food for us. I have to give kudos because when we were out in the parking lot, the manager came out to hand us a gift card for the inconvenience of not having the chicken sando added to our order. It was not a big deal and it was my fault, but she was very kind and gave it to me anyway. I 100% recommend Sophia's, just come prepared to wait in line. It's worth it.
Met up with friends here on Sunday and we we enjoyed our visit. The line was long when we arrived but it moved pretty quickly. The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice open concept. The decor and colors all go well and gives it a clean welcoming vibe. I ordered the BLT sandwich with an iced black tea chai + vanilla. The rest of our orders included an American breakfast, an egg sandwich, and the honey dill chicken sandwich. For pastries we shared one French toast, one cinnamon roll, and one Guava pastry. The pastries were all delicious. The French toast and cinnamon roll were my favorite. The French toast was served warm, it was fluffy, and had the right amount of butter on top. I really enjoyed my BLT sandwich as the bacon was delicious. The waffle fries it came with were flavorful and crispy. Service was great, everyone was friendly. Dont panic for a table, the employees will seat you after you have ordered! Overall, totally recommend.
Came here with moderate expectations and left feeling pretty neutral overall. The atmosphere at Sophia's is nice and has a welcoming vibe, which I appreciated. The service was good, employees were friendly, though a bit inconsistent with timing of the food. The food was okay. Some were enjoyable and well presented, but others felt a little underwhelming when it came to flavor and execution. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. It's a decent spot nearby phoenix airport if you are looking for something casual. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come back. Overall, a fair 3 out of 5 stars experience. My friend and I stopped by Sophia's a brunch counter last weekend for brunch and it was pretty good. To order here, you wait in a line outside which was pretty toasty in the sun but they also had an outdoor fan to help people cool off. We waited for about 45 minutes before actually ordering but they provide menus to look over before you get to the counter. I got the valley latte and subbed honey for vanilla and it was pretty good! I also got the breakfast sandwich and the bread is so fluffy and delicious (I bet the French toast is amazing) it's just so fluffy it kinda falls apart for the sandwhich functionality. The vibe here is really cute and a fun place to visit for a casual brunch vibe.
This was a pleasant surprise! Originally had plans for another spot but that place was closed so a quick search and this place was an option. Met with a friend here and we were greeted as we entered. Super cute layout, all open to the outside, which may get a bit harsh with the warmer temps but it was comfortable in the morning. Limited parking next to them, but was able to grab a spot. Walked over to the line where they had menus to look over. Everything sounded great! Opted for the breakfast burrito with an iced vanilla latte. They also had pastries so we obviously had to try two! The cashier was very nice and helped us decide between 2 pastries. Got our number and found a table in some shade. Drinks came first and my vanilla latte was great! The berry danish was fresh, sweet, and refreshing! My breakfast burrito came an it was amazing. Full of eggs, chorizo, and cheese, albeit not overflowing. It was served with these super delicious and crispy tater tots that I wish I had ordered an extra side to go! There was a side of this salsa that I personally was not a fan of, but they did have a station with other hot sauces & cups of water you can grab! Great experience, attentive staff, will definitely be back, even if it's just to order something to go!
This place is POPPIN. We came at 9:30am On Sunday and there was a big line- thankfully it went fast but my friend who showed up at 9:45 had to wait 20-30 minutes longer than we did to place her order. So COME early especially on a weekend. The ambiance is incredible!! We LOVED the open views it was so unique. The staff was super friendly- shoutout to MAY! I've been so excited to finally come here since it's opened, and it totally didn't disappoint! As soon as I ran out the corner and drove up into the parking lot, I noticed there was a huge line which I was not surprised since it's only been a few months since opening. I did have to park pretty far down the lot, but there were definitely still plenty of spots left in the area. I waited in line about 45 minutes and this was around 10 AM. This was all good, because my eyes certainly had a feast upon the brilliant retro-modern decor and airy ambiance. Right before we reached the counter, an employee seated us to order through her. I'm assuming they split everyone near the counter whether it's a to go or a sitdown order? Nonetheless, we were glad that it was seating by a waitress since we were worried that finding a spot was going to be a challenge. I got the Matcha martini and the waffle, which was corn based I believe. Absolutely scrumptious!! The Matcha martini had a very deep Matcha flavor and it wasn't overly sweet, which was exactly how I liked it! 10/10!! The waffle was equally just as good as it was corn flavor, so it had a slightly savory profile to balance its sweet toppings. I couldn't get enough!! I'm excited to come back to try the rest of its menu. They partner with local foods like Provision and Noble Bread! Classic Arizona faves. The coffee on the menu was also very reasonably priced!

We went straight from the airport to Sophia's - pretty hungry fam. There was quite a long line from the counter to almost the street but the line was moving so I thought. The issue is there is only one cashier causing such a huge bottleneck. We waited for almost an hour before we got to order our food. The food was just average although I do like the French toast but not for an hour wait. Fried rice was hearty meal but I didn't love kimchi taste (which I usually enjoy). We were also seated for 4 in a very tiny table by what looked like the owner or the manager instead of letting choose our own table where we feel comfortable. I thought that was so odd. Went for brunch to check out what everyone's talking about. Loooooooong line but moved decently quick. Luckily they don't sit anyone until you order so it keeps the seat savers in check. I had the corn waffle which was great mix of savory, sweet and spice from the flavored chile butter. 01/02/2026 New brunch spot in Phoenix that is absolutely worth checking out. Because it's still new and hyped up, highly recommend going there early. My friend and I went the day after new year's, so that probably added to the crowd. We got there shortly after 9am and were lucky to find a parking spot at the next building over - we made sure there was no sign with parking restrictions. Thank goodness because I don't know how far away we'd have to park otherwise. There were large, glass doors that would normally separate the indoor and outdoor space. It was entirely open that day which made sense because the weather was perfect. I saw two fans on the "outdoor" seating area, which would be helpful during the summer. The line wasn't too long yet. We waited about 10 minutes to order at the counter. My friend wanted to order a latte, but their espresso machine was down at the time. Once you've ordered and paid, they give you a number. Lots of reviews mentioned the difficulty of finding a table. Fortunately, there were a few open tables and a few seats available at the long common table. We sat at a table with two chairs. There was a counter off to the side where you can grab a cup of water, utensils, napkins, and to-go boxes. Shortly after we got seated, they brought our cardamom bun (from Chaconne Patisserie) and decaf house roast coffee to our table. The rest of our order arrived about 5 minutes after that. The Egg Sandwich was so good. It came with choice of a side - we got waffle fries that were seasoned well. We really enjoyed the French Toast which was not the traditional kind. It was served as a big cube with a slice of butter on top. I was not expecting it to be stuffed too - I think that was the dulce de leche. Everything was delicious, and I really want to go back and try other menu items, like the Breakfast Burrito and Baked Eggs. They also have a few cocktail options - the PB Espresso Martini and Sophia's Matcha sound so good. Service was good - there were many servers constantly walking around and checking on tables. The only thing that was a little annoying was three different servers came by our table to ask if they could clear any dishes within a couple minutes of each other. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a host which led us to the line to order our food and then he would place us somewhere to sit. Their food and coffee menu are very easy to navigate. They also do offer some pastries which also looked. I got the honey Dilly chicken Sando, and honestly the sandwich was was pretty good. It came with a side of waffle fries which were also decently good. 8/10 I also got a cappuccino, which was also pretty good. You can really taste the espresso beans and had a really good coffee flavor. I do like my coffee hot and I felt like this one was sitting out before it got to my table. 6/10 The restaurant has a really cool layout, which is perfect for brunch and aesthetic pictures. They also offer a little sidebar, which has salt, pepper, hot sauce, sauces, coffee, water, napkins, and it serve yourself. The parking lot situation is a little bit crazy as there's so much parking spots available as it was busy inside thankfully we parked alongside the wall, but keep that in mind. I thought this place was, darling! Different from anything we have in Phoenix currently! Such a cute and creative, architectural and design concept!! I had been wanting to try this place since it opened and tried to go in December, but it was only their soft opening, but one of their sweet staff members met me at the door with a menu and gave me two gift cards and asked me to come back in January once they opened so obviously I had to! When I went back, I just wanted to light breakfast by myself so I got the ham and cheese croissant and a latte. The ham and cheese croissant was phenomenal. I do consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur and this was definitely in my top three! The pastry bread was like herb, and it was absolutely delicious. I've been eyeing this place since I seen it on Tiktok. The hype is real! The parking lot was packed but I was able to find parking immediately. The line was long but moved quickly. The choices and menu were easy to read and easy to order. I ordered a black coffee and a cappuccino and was given a number. I found a small section to sit and it was a little cramped. Easily the best new breakfast spot in Phoenix. Situated next to the absolutely gorgeous Beadle building is the equally aesthetic Sophia's with ample patio space and a surprising amount of parking out back. We ordered the breakfast fried rice and the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Food service is at the counter but the food came out quick and tasted great! Sunday morning is the busiest time we were told, but I felt like the line went by super quick. Anna was so sweet and gave us menu and good laughs in line. I went to this establishment yesterday morning a friend of mine and I have wanted to try for weeks but it was always super busy. We got a table and it's counter service I had to ask because we got there and no one really said hi or welcomed us. I ordered our food and the service wasn't rude but it wasn't friendly or inviting either. I went back to get water after the meal and the manager was extremely kind but the rest of the staff just seemed like they didn't want to be there. The food was absolutely fantastic and delicious I would definitely come back hopefully they were just having an off day or had a busy weekend. Update: Gave Sophia's another try and I can't really compare both since it wasn't as busy the second time. However, I have heard from a friend who came back while it was busy; glad to hear that they are a lot more organized when it comes to grabbing a table. I tried the burger my second time and it was great! Fries were perfect Got a toast to go and my bf enjoyed it very much. Wondering if the open concept will continue with the scorching AZ summers. Loved the vibe of this place! Very cute and food and drinks are really good. Loved the breakfast fried rice and so happy I got it. The French toast is also super popular, but it is SWEET. Way too sweet for my taste. I recommend you ask for maple syrup on the side because I didnt like the toast sitting in the syrup. I'm not saying it was bad, just very sweet if you like that. Lastly, this place is so busy! We went at 11:30 and it took 35 mins to order and another 15-20 to get our food so expect a wait. This beautiful, new brunch spot takes advantage of all of the great things Phoenix has to offer: indoor/outdoor seating, local and fresh ingredients, all while experiencing our beautiful, patio weather (9 ish months out of the year that is). Cute cozy and intimate ambiance. I like how well and organized they were with the seating arrangements during rush hours. Food and drinks were very good plus the presentation was a 10/10. My only disappointment was that they ran out of the French toast which was the main reason for my visit. I was told you have to come early so you don't miss it! read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Sophia's. Aesthetics were very cute. It had a simple yet elegant feel to it. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I will say, the line was pretty long. However, we did go during peak lunch hour so I wasn't surprised. The food was also tasty. My sister and I shared the breakfast burrito and the burger. Both were packed with flavor but that breakfast burrito really hit the spot. Also, the sauce had a really nice kick to it. I think this place is cute and a nice spot to check out! read more

Had the day off work so came here with my husband and son for a little family breakfast date! We luckily found parking pretty easily, though the parking situation is not like great. It was pretty busy here, but the line moved fast and there were plenty of tables, we got there around 9 am. I love the outdoor/indoor patio type setup. Perfect for when the weather is nice! You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. We got the stuffed French toast, my husband got an American breakfast and I got a veggie sandwich. I also got an iced oat milk vanilla latte and my husband got a hot caramel latte with extra espresso. We didn't have to wait super long, and everyone who worked here was incredibly nice and helpful! My husband did not like that the eggs were completely coated in chives and it didn't say that on the menu. My sandwich was yummy with fresh veggies. I know they get a bunch of their stuff local, like the coffee is provision! The coffee was really tasty, not overly milky and not too sweet. Just right! The stuffed French toast was the star of the show. I will say seemed maybe a touch overcooked but not bad at all and probably the best I've had as someone who normally is not that into French toast! Another small note is that the tables are very tiny, making it a little tough to Tetris fit all our plates and cups on there, and blocking our toddler from knocking everything off haha. I have only been there once. It's free parking but the parking was limited. We were able to find a spot right away. It was easy to find. I didn't notice meters on the side streets.
