    Egg sandwich

Swung by on a Wednesday morning around 11am and it was consistently busy! Good sign obviously. Cute place with retro-ish vibe. Limited seating inside, but plenty of additional seating outside if you're willing to fight the AZ heat. They do have evap coolers running to help though. Quickly glanced over the menu while in line and settled on the French toast, egg sandwich, and the quiche. My stand out favorites were the French toast and the quiche. Undeniably delicious! The tater tots that came with the egg sandwich were as close to crispy perfection as you can get in my opinion. We gobbled them up way too quickly. Outstanding food and service! Couple of influencers were there filming and interviewing staff as well. Noticed that staff were so accommodating to them. Much respect to this establishment.

This place has gone viral but for good reason. My friend and I came here early to beat the line, around 9:00 on a Sunday. Only a few people in line, so less than 10 minutes waiting. We ordered a couple coffees, then split the egg sandwich and french toast. Looking around, a lot of people had the same idea haha. The milk bread used is light, airy, and has a nice crisp on the outside. The sandwich itself was so good but messy to split. A good messy though. French toast was the star. I don't think I could come back and not order it. I'm not even a fan of french toast typically so that in itself says enough. It's stuffed with the perfect amount of dulche de leche and every bite was fantastic. Even though this is counter order then sit down, all the workers were attentive and friendly.

SOPHIA'S A BRUNCH CORNER @ MIDTOWN The egg sandwich was very filling and the salad was refreshing. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating but not much indoor. The place was very cute with many people going for brunch photos. Overall 4/5

I don't even know where to start!! Service: amazing. Decor: beautiful. Food: bussilicious. We came at peak brunch time around 10:15 on a Saturday and there was a sizable line but it moved quickly and we ordered within 15 minutes. The food came out so quickly (like literally within 10 minutes of ordering) and there was a person directing us to a table after we ordered so weren't awkwardly waiting for people to leave. Now onto the food. Everyone raves about the french toast and I can see why. We expected it to be good but it was so moist, fluffy, and buttery that we ate the whole thing up. There was a slight saltiness and crisp got hr edges that just made it perfect. It is definitely super sweet and a treat though so it can be shared. The egg sandwich was also good but not much different from breakfast sandwiches we could get anywhere else. We just really liked the milk bread they used. The tater tots were awesome though. Perfectly crispy and salted. The coffee cake was good but could honestly be skipped. It was slightly dry at the edges and I wish the crumble on top was thicker. My friend also really liked her iced tea and said it was the perfect sweetness though. Overall, I would definitely be back!! I really want to try the corn waffle and crustless quiche next time :p Rating French toast: 5/5 Egg sandwich: 4.5/5 Tater tots: 5/5 Coffee cake: 4/5 Iced tea: 5/5

This brunch spot is a must try in the valley. From the moment you walk in the restaurant it produces a fun and upscale vibe. The interior was very clean and so well decorated. Their patio area is huge and well shaded. They had an ample amount of parking for downtown. The customer service was outstanding for a restaurant where you order at the counter. I loved their rotating drink menu in addition to their regular drink menu. I got the waffle, bacon, and the strawberry matcha special. The waffle was delicious and well presented on the plate. I loved the The bacon was tasty. The matcha drink was also great. The blue corn waffle was well made and a large portion.i loved the honey butter with Chile. It was a sweet and savory dish. The service was fast and they did not rush customers despite the line. The music was good but not overly loud. I look forward to my next visit.

I was hesitant to make this my first meal upon landing in Phoenix. Many reviewers mentioned how packed this place can get but since I was landing hella early I figure we could beat the crowd. We got lucky, line was not too long. This place operates like Urth Caffé in L.A. Order at the counter, then you will be given a number stand, one of the staff members will seat you. You cannot have one of your party go grab a table. I asked to be seated outside. Even with the 105 heat, there are these strong fans with mist. You will not sweat. Here is what we ordered: - The Valley Latte - Strawberry Fields Matcha (don't know what they do to this Matcha drink, but it was insanely good. It tastes so different from all the other strawberry matchas I've ever had. Call me crazy but it kind of reminds me of tofu but in a good way). Lol. - French Toast (I felt so guilty but it was worth every bite. Inside is filled with Dulce Le Leche. Need I say more?). - Breakfast Fried Rice (love the avocado and fried egg. Warning, it has quite a kick to it). I am so coming back again the next time I visit my son. Parking is nuts, good luck. Entire staff is incredibly friendly! Opened since December 2025.

Sophia's is absolutely worth the visit, but here's one piece of advice: arrive early! This place is incredibly popular, and if you show up later in the day, be prepared to stand in a long line under the blazing Arizona sun. The wait is worth it, though. If you're ordering, do yourself a favor and choose anything that includes the stuffed milk bread. It's soft, pillowy, and the perfect complement to the rest of the menu, making every bite even more memorable. Plan ahead, beat the crowds, and you'll be rewarded with a fantastic meal without the extra time in the heat. Sophia's has earned its popularity for a reason--I just recommend getting there early so you can spend more time enjoying the food than waiting for it!

A very yummy brunch spot! It was very busy when we were there, and unfortunately it was also summer time! They have swamp coolers on the patio that help a little bit but it would have been nicer to sit inside. The food is fantastic and the staff is very quick to clean the area for the next round of guests! Will be back once it cools off to hang on the patio.

SO DELICIOUS BUT CRAZY! This place is so cute! However, even on a weekday the place is packed with a line to the sidewalk outside. It is hard for staff and customers to navigate around the restaurant. Staff seemed confused bringing food and drinks out, not sure where to go. One of my items got forgotten. However, everything was absolutely delicious. The breakfast burrito was dripping in chorizo flavor. The tater tots were perfectly crisp, with a delicious spicy aoli. The French toast with tres leches was to die for! And amazing aesthetic presentation too. My latte was strong yet sweet. The only negative food wise was my friends avocado was hard. All in all, I had a good time but it's way too crazy inside to enjoy it and for me to rush back here soon.

Tasty spot to meet with friends. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. More pricey than a standard cafe but with it being a "cafe meets restaurant" vibe that checks out. The inside is beautiful to say the least. Would recommend if you're in PHX Limited parking at the building but possible

This location came recommended. While it was super cute in there, I wasn't completely impressed. I paid $14 for a corn waffle with red chili butter. There was nothing special about it and I felt it was over priced. Service was quite good. The young man was on it the entire time. Filling water, cleaning up plates, etc. I've been, but won't go back.

Overhyped? Not really, this place a was actually really good! I see why the line is always pouring out on to the street every weekend. 30 minute wait in line is somewhat worth it when we finally sat down and had an interesting and tasty breakfast. I like the service here, friendly plus once we put in our order, they make sure we have a place to sit which was probably the most satisfying part of the whole experience. Cube of French Toast with a pleasant surprise in the center was paired with a breakfast cereal match drink. Both were delicious. Worth going back to see if everything else is this good.

Tried Sophia's Kitchen Breakfast Counter after seeing all the social media hype. Be prepared for a long wait... it took about an hour just to get inside, but the staff was very kind and brought water out to everyone waiting, which was appreciated. I ordered the breakfast fried rice and felt the soy sauce was a bit overpowering, but the lavender latte was delicious and definitely my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the experience was good, but a little overhyped compared to what I expected! Xo -BB

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. I asked the manager if this was the policy and he told me, "I haven't talked to the security guard, maybe you should just move your car instead of making it a big deal." Yeah I think your security guard either lying about a tow truck or actually calling one is actually a big deal. Holy crap. Way too over priced to deal with this hassle. They also have no idea what a nicoise salad is. And the manager was gossiping with an employee about me which made it so obvious because she was staring me down from over the counter. I'm literally just trying to grab a meal to go. Absolutely insane. Burger was okay. Truly not worth the experience.

I took my three adult kids, ages 14, 18, and 21, to The Yard Milkshake Bar on Sunday, August 16…read morearound 3 PM because we wanted to experience something fun, unique, and exciting together. After reading reviews and considering our options, we were really looking forward to this experience. When we arrived, we were excited by the variety of flavors and the over-the-top presentation. Unfortunately, once we started looking more closely at the products, we became concerned. The ice cream in the freezer appeared extremely soft and partially melted, and we noticed significant condensation around the cookie dough/batter. It did not give the impression that the products were being properly maintained or stored. The milkshakes certainly LOOK impressive, but once we actually tasted them, the quality was very disappointing. The ice cream did not have the creamy consistency or quality I would expect for the price. It tasted like inexpensive, low-quality ice cream, and the whipped cream was also warm rather than cold and fresh. At that point, it felt like we were paying primarily for the presentation, jar, toppings, and "wow factor" rather than quality ice cream. I also noticed packaged items such as Chips Ahoy cookies, brownies, and sugar cookies being used as toppings, with some of the original store packaging visible. There is nothing inherently wrong with using packaged products, but when the actual ice cream isn't high quality, it becomes difficult to justify the price. The most concerning part of our visit, however, was what happened with an employee. One employee arrived wearing what appeared to be pajamas and had a kitten/cat on her shoulder. She took the cat toward the back and later was behind/near the register preparing drinks while she and another employee were interacting with the cat around the food and snack area. Seeing an animal being handled in an area where food and food-service items were being prepared was extremely concerning. As a customer, I should not have to wonder whether pet hair or dander could be getting near food. For anyone with a cat allergy, this could be especially concerning. Once I saw this, I stopped eating my milkshake altogether. I sincerely hope the owners or management take this review seriously. The staff need proper training, and the food-storage, cleanliness, and food-handling practices should be carefully evaluated. A fun atmosphere and impressive presentation can only go so far. Quality, cleanliness, and proper food handling should always come first. We went there expecting a memorable dessert experience with our kids. Unfortunately, the experience was memorable for all the wrong reasons. My recommendation: save your money and look elsewhere. We spent $81 on this visit.

The owners pocketed all the money raised, even demanded additional funds from bands merchandise sales. Absolute disgrace to the community. They put on the face of someone helping the community when in reality they are greedy conniving individuals taking advantage of the youths desire to perform and display their creative music with one another. Phenomenal crepes, horchata and more. This place is like a hidden little secret. They have many different delicious crepe options that are made when you order them so they are always fresh, hot and tasty. There are so many freshly made drinks to choose from Horchatas, Shakes, Lemonades in a variety of flavors that come in Mason jars you can take home. They offer catering, make cakes for you special events, host special events for the local youth. They open their doors and allow the local youth community to put on small music shows to show their support of their hard work and support their passion for their love of music. They offer painting classes and even cake decorating classes. This truly is a small hidden gem that shouldn't get passed by. If you are ever in the area stop by for a bit to eat or to enjoy a delicious drink.
