They had open windows and light airy decorations that made it seem bigger than what it actually was. It's a popular restaurant, so if you go at a busy time, you might find yourself hunting for a table after ordering your food. For the food itself, we got the egg sandwich and the golden corn waffle. I will be dreaming about this French toast for the rest of my life! Soo buttery and soft with a dulce de leche like center that paired perfectly with the bread. It tastes even better than it looks and it's beautiful so that says something. The rest of my food was fantastic too! Such a clean spot that is very aesthetically pleasing. The food itself is acceptable. The Caesar salad was acceptable, but the fried rice is a little dry. 01/02/2026 New brunch spot in Phoenix that is absolutely worth checking out. Because it's still new and hyped up, highly recommend going there early. My friend and I went the day after new year's, so that probably added to the crowd. We got there shortly after 9am and were lucky to find a parking spot at the next building over - we made sure there was no sign with parking restrictions. Thank goodness because I don't know how far away we'd have to park otherwise. There were large, glass doors that would normally separate the indoor and outdoor space. It was entirely open that day which made sense because the weather was perfect. I saw two fans on the "outdoor" seating area, which would be helpful during the summer. The line wasn't too long yet. We waited about 10 minutes to order at the counter. My friend wanted to order a latte, but their espresso machine was down at the time. Once you've ordered and paid, they give you a number. Lots of reviews mentioned the difficulty of finding a table. Fortunately, there were a few open tables and a few seats available at the long common table. We sat at a table with two chairs. There was a counter off to the side where you can grab a cup of water, utensils, napkins, and to-go boxes. Shortly after we got seated, they brought our cardamom bun (from Chaconne Patisserie) and decaf house roast coffee to our table. The rest of our order arrived about 5 minutes after that. The Egg Sandwich was so good. It came with choice of a side - we got waffle fries that were seasoned well. We really enjoyed the French Toast which was not the traditional kind. It was served as a big cube with a slice of butter on top. I was not expecting it to be stuffed too - I think that was the dulce de leche. Everything was delicious, and I really want to go back and try other menu items, like the Breakfast Burrito and Baked Eggs. They also have a few cocktail options - the PB Espresso Martini and Sophia's Matcha sound so good. Service was good - there were many servers constantly walking around and checking on tables. The only thing that was a little annoying was three different servers came by our table to ask if they could clear any dishes within a couple minutes of each other. I had been wanting to try this place since it opened and tried to go in December, but it was only their soft opening, but one of their sweet staff members met me at the door with a menu and gave me two gift cards and asked me to come back in January once they opened so obviously I had to! When I went back, I just wanted to light breakfast by myself so I got the ham and cheese croissant and a latte. The ham and cheese croissant was phenomenal. I do consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur and this was definitely in my top three! The pastry bread was like herb, and it was absolutely delicious. Came on a Thursday at 11 and line was still long but not bad . Always expect a line . One thing I do love is how the servers give you a table and the table aren't first come first serve because people could easily have their party grab a table while they wait in line so them giving you a table is supper nice . Of course the vibe is very nice in there, calm and great music . With it being so busy the servers also don't rush you the service was polite and smooth . Easily the best new breakfast spot in Phoenix. Situated next to the absolutely gorgeous Beadle building is the equally aesthetic Sophia's with ample patio space and a surprising amount of parking out back. We ordered the breakfast fried rice and the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Food service is at the counter but the food came out quick and tasted great! Interesting experience this morning, ordered the French toast and egg sandwich which were both good. The tater tots were a bit too salty. As we were finishing we saw a family looking for a table so we offered ours since since we were finishing up. We were abruptly interrupted by an employee that said "woah, woah, woah, how many people are you planning on seating here" (it was a table that fit 4-5) I looked at her and tried to explain we were leaving and that family that already ordered was looking for a table. We went straight from the airport to Sophia's - pretty hungry fam. There was quite a long line from the counter to almost the street but the line was moving so I thought. The issue is there is only one cashier causing such a huge bottleneck. We waited for almost an hour before we got to order our food. The food was just average although I do like the French toast but not for an hour wait. Fried rice was hearty meal but I didn't love kimchi taste (which I usually enjoy). We were also seated for 4 in a very tiny table by what looked like the owner or the manager instead of letting choose our own table where we feel comfortable. I thought that was so odd. We waited about 40 minutes outside which I didn't mind but with these higher temperatures approaching I am not sure whether that is a good idea. So glad I finally got to stop by and see what the hype was about because it was so worth it! My girls and I came, group of four, around 10:30 AM on Sunday morning.
