At about $15 per sandwich, they were quite large, we only finished half the sandwich each. The lunch money sandwich tasted very clean, without too much heavy sauces. And the QB quite meaty and healthy the addition of the pesto which made it extra saucy. The QB was a thicker sandwich, so I would get that if you're extra hungry. Both honestly surprised me, they were satisfying and an overall good lunch. I thought the bread was pretty unimpressive though. We ordered online for takeout since I'm pretty sure they don't have seating inside, it's just a counter. The parking lot is also pretty small so it's kind of tough. My fiancé and I recently tried Paper Bag Sandwiches & unfortunately left pretty disappointed! We've seen so many videos online about how this is the best sandwich spot in AZ. Needless to say, we were extremely excited to try it. The ingredients were actually really good, but the sandwiches were SOAKED in so much sauce, I'm surprised they didn't come with a lifeguard! I picked mine up and it immediately started falling apart like it had just been served divorce papers! My fiancé and I only ate one half and threw the rest out. Kinda wish I took a photo of how messy these sandwiches were. Like seriously! I paid almost $50 for TWO sandwiches. For nearly $20 a sandwich and a decent tip, I was expecting the sandwich to at least survive until the second bite. The staff were super kind and helpful. The ambiance was very nice and it's located in a super cool spot in Phoenix! You can definitely tell the sandwiches were made with high quality ingredients! Long story short- good but not great. Popped in for a quick lunch with my dad on a Thursday afternoon. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and we managed to grab the last spot. The inside is fairly small, not a lot of seating, much more of a grab and go situation. The menu is pretty basic with their main attraction being the homemade focaccia style bread. We got the Hall Pass (added tomato) and the Group project. It took probably 15 minutes to get our sandwiches, which considering nothing on it is cooked felt like a long time to wait. If you want to add chips and a drink from the fridge plan on paying an extra $5-$8. The sandwiches are good but I was hoping for something more. The ratio of bread to filling was way off in my opinion. I wished there was more of the arugula and ricotta to balance out how dry the sandwich was, I imagine it would've been even drier if I hadn't added tomato. Group Project was good but could also use more sauce. I would go again maybe if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. There's a lot better sandwich spots in Phoenix. read more

The service here was amazing and everyone was so helpful, happy and prompt to handle any question or request we had. This place has had a lot of hype so I had a lot of expectations going in. I went with the lunch money sandwich because I live a good roast beef with horseradish. I thought the sandwich was ok, but for me there was not enough horseradish flavor. I'm on the fence about this place. It's very cute, the staff are nice, and I like the sandwich combos. (I got the Lunch Money, which is right up my alley.) But the focaccia lacks flavor; it's just a vehicle for the sandwich filling instead of enhancing the overall experience. A single sandwich is also $16+ without a side. I will say the sandwiches are quite hefty--you could easily eat half for one meal and the other half for your next--but you could say the same about places where sandwiches are closer to $10-12 without a side. I think if the focaccia was more interesting (maybe even some flaky sea salt?!) and there was a small cup of, say, potato salad or something, this would feel more worthwhile to me. read more

The space is small but they have a few chairs and you can take your sandwich and eat in the community space at the Fred. They have named all of their sandwiches after different school themes, like the Hall Pass. I tried the turkey sandwich with arugula, whipped ricotta, and hot honey. The portions are large and you can add chips or fruit. I would love to see a few more sandwich options offered in the future as they get more established. What a vibe this place is. I love a smaller menu because it shows they can specialize in one specific thing and be good. The service was great off the spot. Friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious. The bread on the sandwiches were so soft. Definitely a lot so you can split it or safe the other half for the next day. It's a bit pricy but a fun place to go and enjoy a lunch of you have the money and time. My coworker picked up sandwhiches for us at Paper Bag Sandwich so I wasn't able to see the store front. The sandwhiches are huge!! The bread is super soft (but would love to try it toasted if that ever came available). I found that the hall pass (turkey) was tasty, but the cheese was way too creamy and I felt like it was overpowering the turkey. I'm vegetarian so I got the field day, which is similar to a caprese sandwich but with a couple extra things on it. I loved the Parmesan crisp on it especially. My son got a pb&j. Staff was incredibly nice. Maybe it's because they just opened but we went around 10:45 and it was already starting to get busy and we had to wait a little. Don't believe the hype again!!! Ordered pickup at 1:35pm. Pickup time was 2:05pm. Showed up at 2:05 and waited another 40 minutes before my sandwiches were ready. I don't mind if it takes longer to make the sandwiches but if you can't make them by the time you told me to come pick them up then just let me know that when I order. I would have come at 2:45pm. Amazing, 10/10. Me and my boyfriend went here for lunch today and I got the Hall Pass and he got the Group Project. Mine was amazing and everything I could want in a sandwich. I might add some prosciutto to it next time, I think that would elevate it even more. But as is, is still perfect. The Group Project was so yummy too. A few minutes later I hear the guy taking orders tell a customer that it is going to be a 30 minute wait, wished I had gotten that same warning. I sat on a hard metal stool for yes, close to 30 minutes. I ordered the sandwich of the month, Field Day. OMG delicious! My feedback would be: this sandwich is fairly large for a normal portion IMO and while I tried to eat the whole thing (hello ~ $17 with tip for a sandwich, no drinks, no sides), it is not going to keep well to enjoy later. They were also selling GIGANTIC day old bread the size of an extra large cookie sheet for only $10. Ambiance, it's small and crowded, mostly people standing/waiting with a few stools/counter top at the window. Almost zero parking available during my visit. Got lucky that a car was leaving (on my second loop around). TLDR: Amazing sandwich. Don't go during peak lunch rush (especially if you're on a timed lunch) and maybe share with a friend to enjoy the freshness (made to order). read more
