Local Rhode Island coffee shop with outstanding sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Excellent cozy seating area filled with counters, high back chairs, and table tops for relaxing with a hot drink on cold winter days.

Stopped in yesterday for the first time in a while. Update: they have a variety of straws now, made my day. I had an almond joy latte and a slice of turtle pie. The pie was AMAZING! They are also selling RI Guys donuts. The flavoring on the almond joy was good. I think next I'll try the Maui madness.

While I very much enjoyed their coffee and the price is comparable to DD, I stopped for something to eat the other morning. I bought the breakfast burrito. It was almost $10. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not worth the money. It was good. Very flavorful and made very well. Very enjoyable. However that price is just way too much for a small breakfast burrito. If it wasn't so expensive I would be more inclined to try more foods there.

This coffee brew house is so sweet. It's a lovely morning or afternoon stop for a sandwich and beverage. We stopped in Sunday morning and we were pleasantly greeted by the staff behind the counter. They gave us time to examine their extensive menu and answered our questions. I got a cheddar toasted bagel with homemade chive cream cheese which was excellent. We also got the busy day breakfast sandwich on cheddar jalapeño which was loaded with fresh ingredients ( fresh pepper, fresh red onion, fresh spinach, and avocado, with sausage and fresh scrambled eggs) YUM!! To drink I had ice house decaf (they also have house biscotti flavored decaf) and I had chocolate covered raspberry flavor -YUM!! For the ice latte, this one had body and you could tell it was not watered down. They have plenty of outdoor seating for a warm summer or fall day. The inside was very inviting and charming which had plenty of seating bars and comfortable chairs placed all around for in-house dining! Such a lovely place for the locals and those traveling through south county.

Tried this coffeehouse for the first time. Delicious coffee. Very polite staff. They had a limited menu due to covid.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We shared the smoked pork nachos to start and wow... so flavorful. The side of cool ranch was such a delicious bonus. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and honestly could not stop eating the fries. Perfectly salty with just the right amount of sriracha on top. So good. My friend ordered the chicken parm grinder which looked incredible and disappeared quickly. I was so full and enjoyed my delicious cocktail while my friend ordered the chocolate chip banana foster (with 2 spoons). I honestly could have drank the banana rum ice cream sauce. Thank you for a great meal and experience. I totally understand all the fabulous reviews now. I might just be back tomorrow.

Staff were friendly in the sense of giving service to ones neighbor, as it feels like the high end local spot. Food was definitely creative. Listed as "new American" but had a strong showing of Asian fusion. Food was good but can be considered salty for some. The smoked pork noodles was heavy and had a high level of spice in part of the dish, would recommend to mix it well to evenly distribute. The eclipse had a lot going on, with some ingredients getting lost in the shuffle, but did overall enjoy it.

They have a robust line up of sandwiches, salads, coffees and teas - iced or hot, and pastries to select from. The basic egg and cheese (sometimes with an upgrade of spinach & avocado) on an English muffin with an iced coffee is anything but basic: this is the best version of this sandwich I've ever had - IF and when the right person makes it. Generally, Sophie's is 5-stars, but: On our last visit, we overheard the person who was cooking/prepping sandos saying he'd make one more order before he left since he was already late. We were the "lucky" couple he stayed to serve. Translation - both of our orders were messed up. I'd ordered the Gardener, which was delivered without the avocado that is specifically listed on the menu, and which I wanted. My husband ordered the smoked salmon sandwich on an everything bagel, NOT toasted. His order included all of the elements, but the bagel was toasted. He hates warmed cream cheese, but did love the side of pita chips his came with. Still, the iced coffee was as good as usual (even in the off season) and the indoor space remained cozy, with several options for seating (high tops, low tops, and easy chairs). There are a few outdoor tables for when the weather is right. We've sat out there, and the plants around the entry patio really help create some distance from busy route 102 which is right out front of the deep driveway/parking area. Oh, and the bathroom is clean. All this, and Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgwick ate here a few years back too. Seriously, this place is excellent.

For the Iced Coffee Summer Celebration for RI Food Fights, I ordered a Maui Madness iced coffee and I also snagged their scone of the day which was a pineapple upside down cake. The scone was so good and I'm sad I only grabbed one! Sophie's offers a limited, but still solid food menu. They have breakfast and lunch items. They also have some baked goods in a case. They have your standard coffee products and also hot/iced tea, and smoothies. I think they have extremely fair prices, especially for food. They have a decent sized seating area with a good number of tables. This could definitely be a spot to post up and get some work done while you grab a quick bite, or if you're meeting friends for a coffee date!
