They have a robust line up of sandwiches, salads, coffees and teas - iced or hot, and pastries to select from. The basic egg and cheese (sometimes with an upgrade of spinach & avocado) on an English muffin with an iced coffee is anything but basic: this is the best version of this sandwich I've ever had - IF and when the right person makes it. Generally, Sophie's is 5-stars, but: On our last visit, we overheard the person who was cooking/prepping sandos saying he'd make one more order before he left since he was already late. We were the "lucky" couple he stayed to serve. Translation - both of our orders were messed up. I'd ordered the Gardener, which was delivered without the avocado that is specifically listed on the menu, and which I wanted. My husband ordered the smoked salmon sandwich on an everything bagel, NOT toasted. His order included all of the elements, but the bagel was toasted. He hates warmed cream cheese, but did love the side of pita chips his came with. Still, the iced coffee was as good as usual (even in the off season) and the indoor space remained cozy, with several options for seating (high tops, low tops, and easy chairs). There are a few outdoor tables for when the weather is right. We've sat out there, and the plants around the entry patio really help create some distance from busy route 102 which is right out front of the deep driveway/parking area. Oh, and the bathroom is clean. All this, and Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgwick ate here a few years back too. Seriously, this place is excellent

Celestial Café absolutely lived up to the hype. My friend and I stopped in between lunch and dinner…read moreso it was nice and quiet, which made for such a relaxed visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We shared the smoked pork nachos to start and wow... so flavorful. The side of cool ranch was such a delicious bonus. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and honestly could not stop eating the fries. Perfectly salty with just the right amount of sriracha on top. So good. My friend ordered the chicken parm grinder which looked incredible and disappeared quickly. I was so full and enjoyed my delicious cocktail while my friend ordered the chocolate chip banana foster (with 2 spoons). I honestly could have drank the banana rum ice cream sauce. Thank you for a great meal and experience. I totally understand all the fabulous reviews now. I might just be back tomorrow.

Staff were friendly in the sense of giving service to ones neighbor, as it feels like the high end local spot. Food was definitely creative. Listed as "new American" but had a strong showing of Asian fusion. Food was good but can be considered salty for some. The smoked pork noodles was heavy and had a high level of spice in part of the dish, would recommend to mix it well to evenly distribute. The eclipse had a lot going on, with some ingredients getting lost in the shuffle, but did overall enjoy it.
