Well.....we couldn't have been more disappointed. I regret not taking pics to post for you guys to see. I gave this place 2 stars because most of the food was edible and seemed fresh. Ok....we were given a buzzer and told our order would be ready shortly. When the buzzer rang I went to pickup our lunch and the outside of the boxes they put the dogs in were dripping with mustard and "chili" sauce. It just looked sloppy and careless. My second complaint is the size of the hot dog. The dogs are literally the same diameter as my pinky finger and there's more bread than hot dog so don't expect much in the way of meat. Third complaint is the toppings. I ordered a Texas something or other that was supposed to be chili, crushed Fritos and chopped raw onion. So, all (3) of the ingredients were there, BUT, there was no meat in the "chili"!! And it tasted and looked like a packet of taco seasoning mixed with mayonnaise, there were a total of maybe (4) crushed Fritos on the dog and the onions were at least fresh. My GF ordered a chili cheese dog and she was given the same liquid chili in a very small amount and a ton of cheese sauce to hide it. It's as if they ran out or ran low and scrambled to stretch out a tiny amount of chili to get through the day. Our dogs looked NOTHING like the pics everyone has posted over the years. They looked pitiful. As for the fries....our fries looked NOTHING like the pics posted throughout the years. There wasn't a crinkle cut fry in site. We were served, maybe, (11) or (12) of the thinnest shoestring fries I've ever seen. They looked like match stick potatoes. They had a look that made us think they were soft and slightly under cooked but they were hard as rocks and crunchy like pretzels. As if they were cooked well in advance and reheated and given to us. My other dog was a plain dog with K&M on a pretzel bun which wasn't terrible but again..the thinnest hot dog I've ever seen. It's a cute spot and has potential but I'll never go back. There are places like Chris's red hots in Verona that provide loaded dogs for about the same price and average dirty water dogs all over. Oh....forgot to add that they were completely out of the ingredients for the "Italian dog" at 1:30pm on a Monday.

In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.

The hot dog buns were just ok...they didn't hold up to contain the toppings, which was a little disappointing. Tots were great. My two lunchmates gave a mixed review...one loved his two dogs and the other liked the dogs, but was just so-so in the toppings and the buns. You can't please everyone I guess.
